Elrond walked with his sons, and moved to sit in his chair, glad to note that most of their visitors were still in his house.

Legolas didn't protest when his ada brushed his hair, only sighing a little.
He smiled taking his hand, and walked with him to the hall.
"What is it we are doing today, Ada?" he asked. He wondered if his ada would have the tutor Erestor keep an eye on the elflings after their adventures yesterday.

Thranduil pondered the question and smiled down at his child. "You and the twins will stay with Erestor, until we feel you can be trusted to be on your own. Or perhaps Ala can watch you."

"They shall arrive shortly. Be patient, my sons," Elrond said, arching a brow at them.

Legolas walked along with his ada. He looked up in dismay.
"Oh, Ada, must you have them watch us? We shall behave!" he protested, pouting a bit.

"But Ada they're taking forever!" Elladan whined, pouting when his Ada tossed him his signature look.
"Ada, can we eat?" Elrohir asked, content to let his twin dig himself into a hole.

"Ion, you promised me you would behave yesterday, and look what happened. Perhaps after you can show me that you can and will behave with Erestor, I will allow you to play without a supervisor." Thranduil said, hugging his child to his side gently.

Elrond arched his other brow.
"They shall be here soon, Ion," he said, tone warning. He turned to Elrohir.
"No, my little one. It is rude to begin until all are present," he said.

Legolas pouted a bit, but he nodded.
"I understand, Ada. Just please," he said, looking up imploringly.
"Please do not sent Ala!"

Elladan began to pout angrily. Of course his Ada scolded him...he was playing favorites again. Elrohir saw the change in his brother's mood and seemed concerned. "Elladan?"
"Do not talk to me." He snapped, tuning before he could see his brother's hurt face.

"Why Ion nin? She is a trusted elleth...I have never understood why the three of you do not like her." He said, but nodded. "Alright, if you listen to Erestor."

Elrond sighed, knowing his little son. He took Elladan's arm and pulled him gently to him, and onto his lap.
"My little Ion," he said, softly.
"Do not fret, Elladan," he said, gently, brushing his hair back.

Legolas smiled, and leaned against him.
"Ada, she is mean to us," he said.

Elladan resisted slightly before settling onto his Ada's lap, trying to retain his anger. It was quickly being repressed by sorrow for having snapped at Elrohir and guilt for being mad at his Ada. He leaned back and let Elrond smooth his hair.

"Is she?" Thranduil asked, frowning slightly. "Why?" He seemed concerned and gently stroked Legolas' hair.

Elrond kissed his cheek.
"Do not fret," he said, reaching out to draw Elrohir to him as well.
"If you feel guilt, perhaps you should apologize, Ion."

Legolas blushed a bit.
"Ada, do you not remember how we pulled tricks on her?" he said, smiling a little.

Elladan nodded and looked at his beloved twin, tearing up slightly. "I-I am sorry I snapped Erro...I was not angry with you..." He said softly and Elrohir hugged him tightly.
"It is alright Brother." He said snuggling closer to both his twin and father.

"Is she still upset about those tricks?" He asked. "I spanked you for it...which I am sure she heard." He smiled slightly at the blush Legolas gave him and kissed the top of his head. "Alright my son, just Erestor."
