Troublesome Elvlings

Elrond smiled proudly, and kissed his sons.
"There, all is forgiven, little one," he said, pulling his other son to sit on his lap as well. He was content to hold them until they wished to get down.

Legolas blushed again, knowing full well the elleth had probably listened.
"I think she is still mad, Ada," he said.

The two snuggled against their Ada, content to remain there until Legolas arrived. Elrond was soft and warm, and the two began to giggle about silly things while bouncing on Elrond's lap. The older elf was amused until Elrohir's boot nearly connected with a vital part of his anatomy.

Thranduil sighed slightly, and swung Legolas up onto his hip. "Alright, then I will not ask her to look after you if she will be unfair in her actions toward you." He reassured and cuddled the small elfling. "There, we are nearly in the breakfast hall."

Elrond neatly caught the little boot, and moved it, smiling a little.
"Ah, my little ones," he said, turning to the archway.
"I think they are coming."

Legolas grinned a little as his ada picked him up.
"Thank you," he said, kissing his cheek. He leaned against his ada, glad for the comfort the tall elf provided him.

The twins became excited, but remembered to stay put rather than running and jumping the Elvenking and his blond elfling. "Ada! I see Legolas and King Thranduil!" Elladan said, bouncing again.

Thranduil gently set Legolas down before entering, knowing the small elfling had his pride. He took the small hand and the two walked to their places at the table. Breakfast was quickly served, much to the delight of everyone.

Elrond chuckled and released his little ones, putting a light swat to each bottom to send them on their way to their seats. He gladly set to eating.

Legolas smiled as he took his seat, carefully as he was still a bit sore.
"Good morrow, Lord Elrond, Elladan and Elrohir."

They yipped slightly but grinned as they sat down in their chairs, quickly starting up a conversation with Legolas about something or the other.

Thranduil smiled as Legolas began to talk animatedly with the twins and he turned to converse with Elrond. "Well my friend, it seems you survived the night." He smiled and picked up some freshly baked bread.

"And you as well. As well as Legolas," Elrond said, smiling as he put a few eggs onto his plate, being sure to watch that the twins ate more then just bread and sweet jam.

Legolas filled his own plate, careful to not spill the food.
"Are you as sore as I?" he asked them softly.

"Yes..." Elrohir said, rubbing slightly. "It felt as though lines of fire decorated my backside..."
Elladan nodded too. "I can feel the sting twinge...it hurts...I never want the switch again."

Thranduil was also watching that Legolas ate something more substantial than the numerous little pastries the elfling favored. He slipped some eggs onto Legolas' plate and returned his attention to Elrond. "Aye, that we did...though I never want to go through it again." He said, sighing softly. "I am assuming you had a hard time as well?"

Elrond smiled, slipping eggs and a few sausages onto the twins' plates.
"Aye, I do envy you, only having one little one," he said, softly.

Legolas winced in memory.
"Oh, it was dreadful," he said, quietly, casting a disdainful look at the eggs.
"Ada was most unhappy with me," he added.

Thranduil sighed and looked at Legolas wistfully. "It is I who envy you, my friend. I would love to give Legolas a playmate...but I fear it is too late for that." He said.

Elladan and Elrohir were quick to gobble up the sausage, but pouted at the eggs. They pretended not to notice and resumed talking to Legolas. "Our Ada was also vexed...and we are to stay with Erestor today."
