Just while I was posting ideas I figured I may as well throw this one out there:

Being the boss and self-proclaimed bread-winner in the Chaotix happy little 'family business' Vector finds himself at a frustrating loss when Espio's stoicism seems dance along the arrogant border; usually it wouldn't be an issue if it didn't seem like the teenaged ninja weren't shirking on the job or just outright not showing up when it suited him--but considering that the matter can't be resolved without turning into a screaming match, the detective finds himself pinning Espio in the one hold the kid wouldn't have expected.

Maybe something to spark it all off could feature a split-second lapse in manners on Espio's part to Cream's mom, ala Sonic X? Or some sort of a snide comment of similar effect?
