"Yes" Aegar agreed quickly, probably because he was nervous. He and the others kept an eye out as Ciri climbed the window to open the barnyard. A relived sigh left his mouth once he saw the door opening.

They approached slowly at her sign and prepared to get to the horses. However, as they did, someone from outside the barn yelled. "They are there!" Followed by the unmistakable sound of armors shaking as soldier approached.

Ciri's heart sank "We have to leave now!" she kicks open the staples as men begin getting on horses. Ciri grabbed a horse and it started charging out there were a score of men in armor who were running toward them. Her friends would make it, even if they had horses unless the soldiers didn't want to harm the horses they would be caught and killed very quickly. she had to act. she drew her sword.

Ciri to aegar:"What happened? this smells of that they knew you were coming."

She drops a smoke bomb blinding most of the men and begins fighting.

The witch hunters moved quickly, and some of them were mounting horses too. Some were holding torches, while others tried to aim with crossbows. Ciri's smoke bomb proved to be useful as it distracted them, but there were at least twenty of them coming. It was obviously an ambush.

"I-I don't know!" Aegar replied, trying to keep his horse under control as it panicked. "We need to run!"

But as he did, a horse came running from somewhere else and someone jumped from above the animal, rolling through the ground and slashing right through at least three of the nearest soldiers. Before the others knew what was happening, one use of the Aard signal sent more five of them stumbling backwards and made them fall on their backs.

Ciri gulped: "Great, Geralt's here." she gripped her sword. "We need to move now!" she dashed slicing some soldiers legs and then kicking them unconscious. "Quickly we should get out of here before the smoke loses its density." she exclaimed as the soldiers could hear the clanging of swords. Ciri's intuition was right as Geralt joined the fight they would make it out fairly comfortably as the soldier count has been drastically reduced

The soldiers readied their crossbows in anticipation of the smoke clearing and a slaughter to begin.

Ciri grabs the reigns of the horse as Aegar's men prepare to leave. "Make sure they don't see us in our escape." she looked to the shadowed figure of Geralt her heart thumping faster now, knowing full well that she was going to be in trouble again.

Geralt didn't seem to have trouble keeping the witch hunters away, but even he was going to be eventually outnumbered by them. He was fighting like a demon. Golden explosions knocked the nearby hunters for their feet when they broke the Quen sign. None of them managed to get up, as the witcher's steel sword cut three of them in a single swing. Even among the battle cries and the fighting sounds, Geralt could hear Ciri's voice thanks to his Witcher senses. In a given moment, he was close enough to send her a look - and his yellow eyes focusing her sternly didn't hide the fact that he really was mad at her.

It only lasted a second, as right after his hand move forward and a wave of fire covered several people ahead.

Aegar and his men nodded at Ciri. With their horses under control, they started their escape, not without noticing the nervous look on their friend's face, though there was no time to discuss this. Seeing them about to leave and finally managing to get a break from the hunters surrounding him, Geralt moved his hand and used the Axii sign to turn two of them into his allies. While they caused mayhem attacking their own companions, the Witcher quickly got on Roach and prepared to ride away too

Ciri grabbed her fathers forearm and pulled herself up to mount with roach:"Go now!" She turned back seeing her friends get out of harms way as the witch hunters lay on the ground, most dead some probably will be killed for their failure. she turns her head forward and wraps her arms around Geralt.

Ciri:"Well, thanks for the backup." she said hesitently

"Don't thank me" Geralt said emotionlessly, his gaze shifting slowly around them until her made sure they were not in danger anymore. Once that was taken care of, his cat-like eyes turned completely to Ciri and he frowned a bit. "You will not be feeling thankful once we get back, that I assure you. Let's go" He was so relieved that she was not hurt. Every inch of his body felt weightless, but he at the same time was angry. "Once we arrive" He spoke up "You are going to apologize to Yennefer, listen to whatever she has to say to you, and then immediately head upstairs to your room. Nothing else. Understood?"
