The Brand New Babysitter (for AngelicImpurity)

(Just an intro so you kinda can know my characters I guess XD I went a bit overboard >_> )



Storm was an energetic kitten—well meaning yes, a friend to all, or at least he tried. That included most anything he came across. He hated to be alone so company of any sort was always welcomed. He lived with a single caretaker—not his biological father really, but he had been adopted in regardless. Problem was, he was busy with office work most of the time—far too busy to play. Usually not even home. Even so, Storm didn’t mind too greatly. Whenever he went away, he always left someone there to play with him. Sometimes it was the same person, more frequently as if recent it had been the same one, however he was told today they would be different.

He yawned, mouth stretching wide as he slinked out from beneath his covers. His white fur was clean and fresh again—after his most recent bout of finding a fantastic mud puddle just before his father had intended to leave. Storm had been sent to his room after getting washed up. His dad hadn’t been particularly happy with him for making him late. But all that had been long forgotten in Storm’s mind. His tail swished around himself as he jumped out of bed.

He had gray ears, fluffy gray tail, and the tips of his feet were likewise gray. Although his fur was primarily white, he had blue tufts of fur on his ear tips and a black tail tip with a strip of a dark pink color right beneath it. Small speckles dotted the sides of his legs—a bright blue in color. One eye was blue, the other pink. He was wearing a simply white and gray shirt with blue lightning bolts on it, as well as a rather loose pair of dark gray pants at the moment—his father had insisted he would get sick if he kept hopping around outside in puddles as he had, and insisted he wear something warmer.


Storm had been told to stay in his room until the babysitter arrived to get him. That hadn't settled too well with the curious kitten. It had only been about fifteen minutes, but it felt like hours!


Now his father was waiting for the babysitter to arrive so that he could leave. It had been fairly short notice that he needed them. He hadn’t even been planning to go to the office today, but that had been a surprise call earlier in the morning as well. Trying to remember if he had gathered all the files he needed, he glanced out the window again—Hopefully they would get here soon.

[Angel]

Soon enough, the cavalry arrived. pulling up in a nice, but simple car was a teen fox. The fox was more of a fennec than your average variety of fox. His long ears were adorable, and well kempt. His fur was shiny and clean, a light tan in color. His eyes were like soft pools of silver. Wearing a simple outfit; A band tee and some jeans. He walked up to the door, and knocked. His name was Angel, and he was ready to care for Storm quite effectively. He brought along a diaper bag; He'd been informed by Storm's dad that Storm sometimes needed diapers.

[Cry]

Storm's father was relieved to see the babysitter had indeed arrived and hurried to open the door and welcome him inside. Since he had already explained a lot of the situation over the phone, he didn't see it necessary to repeat it again--mostly because he was in a hurry. Just a few simple facts. "You're welcome to anything in the fridge, so help yourself." He looked around, spotting his briefcase at last and making a quick detour to grab it. "Hopefully he won't give you any trouble, but he does have a tendency towards great 'adventures.'" He added the last part with a roll of his eyes, indicating that it was a tiresome habit of Storm's. "He's already gone splashing through mudpuddles today. He's in his room right now though. I told him to stay there until you got here."

[Angel]

The teen nodded, and listened intently.
"Trust me sir, I'll take good care of him." he promised.

[Cry]

"Thanks." The larger cat couldn't help but sigh in relief. "Alright then. I've gotta get to work. If you run into any problems, I left a list of contact numbers on the kitchen table."

[Angel]

The fennec nodded, and let him leave, before heading up to see the boy he'd be baby sitting.

[Cry]

Storm was still bored out of his mind sitting here. He had tried batting at his own tail which hadn't proved to be very interesting. He had rolled around on his bed for a bit, and finally settled for "hiding" from his imaginary enemies under a tangled mound of blankets from his bed as he inched himself along the floor.

[Angel]

"Hello? Storm?" Angel called, opening the door. "I'm your new baby sitter." he said happily, looking about.

[Cry]

Storm's ears twitched as he heard a voice from...somewhere beyond his blanket mound. "Hi!" He announced, although he was facing the wrong direction. He pulled the blankets off of his head at last, his fur all ruffled. Huh! No babysitter there! He turned around, now seeing the other. "You've got huuuuuge ears." He announced as if the fennec did not know this previously.

[Angel]

"The better to hear you with." he said, smiling. The fennec walked over, and patted Storm's head.
"Your dad told me about you, and first things first. He said to keep you diapered. Are you wearing one now, kiddo?"
