Want to get rid of the annoying adverts? The answer is simple. There are 4 levels of advertising on AnimeOTK:

Level 1: (Your Level, guests and members with 0-9 posts) has maximum advertising.
Level 2: (A user with 10 or more posts who has been a member over two weeks) have vastly reduced advertising (including removal of the large full screen closable adverts)
Level 3: (A member who has been registered over a month and has over 50 posts, or has a special account like "artist" or "writer" sees minimal advertising.
Level 4: (VIP Donators) receive no advertising.
All donators of $10 or more will never see an advert on our site again!

Default Problem with e-mail varifications

I forgot my password initially (ended up remembering it) and asked for an e-mail to be sent to reset it and it never came, and then CleverFox changed her e-mail address and never got the verification e-mail. I just wanted to bring that to your attention, I know the site literally just came back and there are probably still bugs to work out but new members cant join and old members cant recover passwords if the e-mail isn't working

Thanks for the report. We are currently sending out tens of thousands of emails from the server (the reopening announcement private messages alert). So there are tons stuck in the queue right now and working on sending. And we're probably getting a few "temporary bans" on email servers from them receiving too many emails from us. Email admin is always a bitch :-\. I see 3 emails in the queue for your email. They should hopefully all be arriving within the next few hours.

Will that same backlog also temporarily affect email notifications from subscribed threads, I assume?

Yes. It might be pretty bad for the next few days even while we are getting all the sites back up and announced. Kind of regretting the decision now to not go to google domains instead of using our own SMTP server... but then again, that would have been a major PITA setting up XD.

It effects all emails. Currently there are around 10,000 queued up to go out and the server is handling them on a first come, first served basis so working out when you get the emails for notifications is anybody's guess. Worst case scenario the server should have sent everything within the next 6 hours or so and be back to sending almost instantly. Some email providers may bounce us for a few days after the volume of PM notifications that have been sent out it's hard to say and onyl time will tell
