07[00:31] <@Theodore> Theodore gasped and blushed when he suddenly found himself tucked under Valen's arm as if he were some parcel the man was carrying or something, the position definitely embarrassing for him and he of course continued to struggle and try to squirm his way out of the mans hold. He of course registered the 'we had a remedy for such an ailment' and he knew that did not bode well for him but was alas still in the dark about what Valen was intending. When Valen said that he was going to apologize he glared at him and the mulish expression turned downright defiant as he shook his head, "I already said I will do no such thing and I meant it!" he protested, adamant in his refusal and he was sorely tempted to tell Valen to go away
07[00:32] <@Theodore> and leave him be but he didn't quite have the courage to go through with that. He shot another glare at the headmaster when Valen made the comment about manners, the child not even degning to reply to that one he just sat on his bed with his arms crossed and glared with all the heat a child his age coudl muster--which wasn't much.
00[00:40] <@Valen> Valen simply stepped in front of the chair and took a seat setting his hands on his lap. "Come here Theodore." he called gently but seriously.
07[00:43] <@Theodore> Theodore watched the man move to take a seat on the chair, not really bothered by it since he just thought that he was in for a long, boring lecture or something along those lines. He did get a bit on edge when Valen did not live up to his expectations and instead of lecturing ordered him to come over in a gentle and serious tone of voice. Usually he would obey an order like that just

00[00:48] <@Valen> Valen cracked a bit from his serious expression as a grim smile etched it's way on to his face. He started to chuckle. "Why, do you think I asked you?" he asked. Valen was waiting patiently and calmly.

00[01:03] <Valen> "Well come over here and find out." He said gently. "Or if you prefer I can come and get you- but I highly suggest you come here, now."
07[01:06] <@Theodore> Teddy was really not liking how this was going, the child well aware that something was happening and it felt like something important but he had no idea what it was. The gentle way Valen was speaking was confusing to him as well since the tone didnt' really match the words but since he had no idea what he was in for he didn't really have a good reason to not obey the order. So when
07[01:06] <@Theodore> Valen ordered him over again, adding the 'now' to it the child frowned in confusion but he slid off the bed and walked over to the man, still looking confused as he reached him and looked up to meet Valens eyes.
00[01:21] <Valen> Valen reached out and slipped his hand beneath Theodore's arms and scooped teh boy up and gently laid him across his lap face down. He set a hand on Theodore's back pinning him there not allowing him to escape as he slipped two clove clad fingers in to his pants and worked them down and off to about mid thigh. Any under clothing following with baring the boy to the room. "Do you understand that you are about to be punished?" Valen asked gently.
07[01:26] <@Theodore> Teddy's confusion turned to slight panic as he was lifted and draped over Valen's lap, the child tensing at the unfamiliar but still very embarrassing position for a few seconds before starting to struggle for all he was worth but it was too late for that to do any good since hew as already pinned there by Valen's heavy hand on his back. As if this wasn't an undignified enough position

Valen sighed gently and brought down several more sharp swats allowing the sting to settling for a few moments before bringing down the next strike. Even if you had simply apologized to the young lass you would also not be in this position. I do intend to make it -very- clear to you that kind of behavior is not tolerated here. You can expect similar punishment doled out to anyone else who thinks it's okay to act , haughty, self-important and entitled. As I said earlier social status has no importance here, everyone will be treated with equal fairness and kindness- you sir need to learn not to judge a book by it's cover and instead try a little hard to find out what someone is like on the inside before you insult them, or make them feel bad. " Valen scolded all the while dishing out those hash swats.
07[01:50] <@Theodore> In Theodores young mind this was about as bad a thing that could happen, and so he was reacting accordingly by freaking out a bit and struggling to get away. He didn't really appreciate being told to calm down and he blushed agian when Valen called him a bratty child and told him he was getting a spanking for it, for some reason actully hearing those words making it that much worse for
07[01:50] <@Theodore> the child. His struggleds increased when he felt Valen moving, assuming that meant he was raising his arm, and panicking a little because of it. "Noo! Let go!" he shrieked before making a sound somewhere between a squeal and a yelp when the first firm swat cracked down on his butt, the leather of the glove biting his flesh more than Valen's hand alone would have and making it sting that

He let out a loud cry for the next few swats, tears slipping free by the time that Valen started scolding him as the child dramatically thought that he would never sit again and that surely he would have bruises by the time this was over. of course that was not true but it was what he was thinking

He actually did listen to the lecture as his squirms to get away became desperate squirms of a boy being spanked and trying to avoid the next stinging blow, and the words made him feel bad which confused him as well. "you are being punished because what you did was unacceptable behavior. You are not to think lowly of someone because of where they come from. Just think if you lost your family and were tossed in to a work house- how would that make you feel? You should treat everyone with the same kindness and respect-after all she hadn't done anything to hurt you so why would you do something to make the poor girl cry. It's not nice, it's rude, it's just plain distasteful and it's not becoming of a young man to make a young lady cry or to be so close minded. I'm not a fan of disrespectful people, rude people, ignorant people, close minded people, and people who think they are better than anyone because of where they come from or what house hold they were born in to. A closed mind is a dying mind. "He added at the end. "If you are so stubbornly set in your ways and ideas you will never learn about anything new- you're limiting yourself from becoming better. And the only person you should try to be better than, is who you were yesterday. " Valen scolded all the while he kept up the slow speed.
07[02:36] <@Theodore> Teddy was hurt when he heard Valen saying he was disappointed in him, and that the man expected better of him, though he honestly couldn't say why he cared but the headmaster had grown on him in the few days he'd been here so he actaully did care and it stung that he'd disappointed him. He didnt' care as much about disappointing Charlotte since he didn't know her as well but her earlier

He jerked and cried out loudly for each of the slow swats he was given while Valen explained to him what he was actaully being punished for, the child a bit startled when told to imagine how he'd feel if he lost his family and was tossed into a work house, and really not liking the feeling he got when he obyed.

He didn't say anything until after Valen was finished lecturing him, and he'd actually gone limp over the mans lap at that point since he'd tired himself out with his struggles and crying, and he was feeling guilty now so he was too upset to keep fighting it. 07[02:36] <@Theodore> sounding more sincere and if Valen asked him if he would apologize to the girl he would nod this time since he finally got it and he realized that she deserved an apology even if he thought it woudl be really hard to give one to her.

Valen said pausing and gently patting the soar rears as his hand on Theodor's back started to rub his back gently."Do you think you can apologize to the young lady for your rude remakes yet? And for upsetting her so badly?" Valen asked in a smooth almost comforting tone. "I', also curious if you have come to realize why that was wrong of you?" he asked gently about ready to scoop the boy up regardless of his answers.
07[02:45] <@Theodore> Teddy was sort of confused when Valen apologized too, the little guy not understanding what Valen had to be sorry about but he didnt' ask since the man started patting his bottom then and that got a whine out of him as he curled away from the touch since he was sore and that didn't feel good even if it didn't hurt. He listened to the mans questions then and nodded at the first one,
[02:45] <@Theodore> sniffling as he did so and wiping at his tears but he would apologize to her for upsetting her next time he saw her, which he had the sinking feeling would be as soon as they were done here and that embarrassed him since it would be clear looking at him that he'd been crying and he was assuming everyone knew just how the headmaster dealt out punishments here so that meant everyone would

He forgot about that for the moment when Valen wen ton to ask him if he knew why it was wrong of him and that confused him but he tried to answer, "Cause it was mean? And she didn't do anything to me?" he asked, not sure what the man was going for with that one but he answered the best he could though it was a bit hard to understand since

00[02:54] <Valen> "Alright then, I hope you remember that and you and I'll won't have to have a repeat performance, nor will I have to speak to you about such behavior again. " Valen said and delivered another swat, this one was a good deal lighter than the rest yet it was sharp and quick none the less- more lighthearted and playful than anything really. He righted the boy's clothed and helped him to his feet carefully. Before the boy could do much of anything Valen turned him around and pulled him back to sit on Valen's lap as he wrapped his arms around the younger hugging him close. A hand came up and started to pet the boy's head in a very gentle manner. For such a large man Valen did and awful lots of things softly or gently trying to compensate for any sort of fear his sheer size gave off.
07[03:03] <@Theodore> Teddy nodded slightly when Valen told him to remember this, the little guy not wanting a repeat performance any more than Valen apparently did since this was more than enough for him to last him the rest of his life and he was vowing that he was going to be the best boy on the planet so he didn't end up back over Valen's lap again. Of course that resolve likely would only last as long
[03:03] <@Theodore> as the sting in his bottom lasted and the memory of the pain and embarassment was still fresh. He yipped and jumped a bit at the last swat, startled by it more than anything else since it was sharp and unexpected even though it didn't hurt all that much it still stung. He gasped softly as the fabric of his underwear brushed his sore bottom but he didn't whine about it since he felt
07[03:03] <@Theodore> better covered back up, it was less embarrassing for him that way. He looked up at Valen as the man let him up then pulled him onto his lap, the little guy tensing at first as if considering pulling away but then Valen hugged him and started petting his hair and after a brief hesitation he leaned against Valen and rested his head on the man's chest, soothed by the sound of his heartbeat
07[03:03] <@Theodore> and after a few moments he reached up with one hand to grip the mans shirt as he sort of burried his face against Valen's chest to hide his tears as he tried to get his crying under control and just soaked up the positive attention he was getting now since it helped sooth his frayed nerves and made him feel a tiny bit better about what happened.
00[03:09] <Valen> Valen continued to soothingly run his fingers through the long black hair. "I think it would be best that you apologize in the morning tomorrow. I'd like for you to go to bed soon after washing up before bed... Crying all that much tends to make one tiered." He sad gently as he continued the soft pets. "Or if you're feeling better and think you can behave you're self you may come back down stairs and re join us." he said gently as he set his hand on the back of the boy's shoulders to rubs slow circles.
07[03:14] <@Theodore> He was actually very relieved and surprised when Valen told him that he could apologize to the girl in the morning instead of making him go back downstairs and do it now, and he was about to agree but then Valen went on to add the bit about returning to the parlor with everyone else and he wasn't sure what he wanted to do. "Can I decide later?" he asked softly, basically wanting to know
[03:14] <@Theodore> if he decide to stay up here and go to bed early and then coudln't sleep if he could still come downstairs. He didn't know how this worked with their bedtime since this was sort of a special occasion and they might be able to stay up later, and if that was the case he wanted to stay up just because of that but if he'd be going to bed in a few hours anyway he might just stay up here and
07[03:14] <@Theodore> save himself the embarrassmet. After Valen answered, if he was going to, the little guy spoke up again. "What if she wont let me apologize to her?" He asked then, since he didn't have a very good track record with other kids so he was worried she'd be upset and refuse to listen or accept his apology in the morning. He had turned his head so that he could look up at Valen at that point
