Trespassers Beware
James Hopkins, was a stern quiet man in his late forties who lived on the outskirts of your typical average sized town. Although many in town knew the Hopkins name, little was known about the man himself. It was apparent that he was a man of considerable means, because he lived on a remote but ample piece of property in a sizable old plantation style home. He lived alone, preferring the peace and quiet. His property was surrounded by woods with an open meadow in the center where his house stood. There is also an orchard of apple trees, just full of beautiful juicy apples, and a small lake on the opposite edge of the property from the town. Most importantly, at least in the mind of James Hopkins, were the several, "No Trespassing" signs posted all around the edge of the property. Of course it was true that over the years some of them had become less conspicuous than others due to the overgrowth of the woods, but they existed nonetheless. Besides there were plenty of rumors about the terrible Mr. Hopkins floating through the town that served more than ample warning to most that Mr. Hopkins was not a man to be trifled with or crossed. Nevertheless, Mr. Hopkins was always on the lookout for anyone would dare disturb his private sanctuary.

Michael waved his hand, making Sally a sign to walk faster. He was a slim 12 years old boy with shaggy light-brown hair and big blue eyes, rather a cute kid. He was wearing a navy-blue t-shirt with Spider-Man emblem on the chest, short khaki shorts and old red and white sneakers. His bare knees showed old grazes.
Sally sighed and followed him, trying to walk faster. She was of the same age as Mike, taller then him, but scrawny like it happens with teens, and still didn't really need a bra. The girl had a plait of light tone of red, hanging to the middle of her back, green eyes with long eye-lashes, plump lips and adorable round face. Sally wore a simple knee-leght dress without sleeves, yellow checked with brown lines, and cream open-toe sandals. She looked much less sure then her friend.
Sally lived in this town all her life, and Mike went here only this summer, on vacation. He occasionally heard about Hopkinse's place abd immediately decided to visit it. Scary rumors sounded like an urban legend to him, and He liked Sally from the very first day he've met her, so... It looked like a good possibility to show her how brave Mike was and how much cooler then any local boy. So he convinced Sally to go to Hopkinse's house - obviously that's just silly tales, nothing bad can happen to them, and even if so, he'll protect her from that mad old man... Sally wasn't so sure, but she secretly liked the boy and wanted to go with him... So she hoped that Mike would really protect her, like... some kinght... or kind vampire boy from evil vampires!..
"Don't you think we've came far enough?.." Sally asked unsurely, trying to keep close to the boy. They walked through the woods already for some time, and though that wasn't a scary kind of woods, she felt nervous. But on other hand they didn't see any signs forbidding to go further yet. "Relax, Sally," Mike smiled, using this as an excuse to take girl's hand. "See, the trees thin out already... Wow, apples? How about a snack?" And he sneacked to the apple-trees, already in sight of the house, pulling Sally with him. Mike tried to be more or less stealthy - Hokins, id he was still alive, wouldn't do anything horrible, of course, but he didn't want to listen lectures from some old fool...

James Hopkins was enjoying a warm spring day out on his property, as he often did. He loved the outdoors and the quiet, and he loved working with his hands. At the moment he was just doing some light gardening. Mostly just trimming the bushes around his house, though he was doing a little pruning of some of his prize rosebushes as well. The two things James was most proud of were his roses and his apples. James's well tanned skin was just beginning to glisten with a little bit of sweat when some movement out of the corner of his eye caught his attention. His sharp, emerald eyes honed in on a pair of slight figuresr walking across the edge of the woods bordering his estate and heading toward his orchard. He growled with disbelief that people were still daring to trespass on his land. A decidedly scary smirk emerged on his face as he lowered his pruning shears and set them on the ground as he arose to his feet.
James Hopkins hated trespassers. He enjoyed the peace and solitude of his estate and the presence of intruders upset him greatly. That being said there was one thing James enjoyed about trespassers, and that was setting them straight and making sure they never dared to set foot on his property again. Wearing a pair of well worn jeans and a simple white undershirt, James snaked his way to the edge of the woods. At 6'2 and close to two hundred pounds, James was not a small man. His body was well toned and muscular from constant physical work on his property. That being said James was an outdoorsman and could move as silently as the most fearsome hunter in the woods. He circled quietly around the edge of the woods and moved in behind the intruders. As he got closer he could see that the intruders were a young girl and a young boy, and that they seemed to be looking very intently at his apples. James slowly and quietly worked his way closer and closer remaining deeper in the woods than the pair he was stalking. Hopkins could see that the boy was clearly dragging the girl along, and he made note of that. He would wait for the perfect moment to act, to assure that he caught this intruders and showed him that he truly meant no trespassing!

Sally followed her friend not fully willingly at first, because the nearness of the house reminded her of that rumors and her fears... But it seemed like no one was here, and the place itself looked so nice and calm, that soon the girl forgot about her indecision or even caution. She run to the apple-trees with Mike. Apples looked delicious, and she realised, that was rather hungry!
As well as Michael. He looked at the apples with anicipation. "Hey, what would kids in the town say if we'll tell them how we've ate Hopkinse's apples? Wouldn't we show them" Those chickens!" Mike giggled and looked up. The tree was rather tall, so it was hard for the boy to reach the apples. Fortunately, he noticed the tin bucket among the trees. "Help me a little, Sally... Hold it, so I wouldn't fall, ok?" The girl nodded and squatted, holding the upturned bucket, and mike stood on it. Now he could gather apples easily!..

Hopkins watched as the boy released the girl, and the girl took off running freely to follow him. She wasn't, so innocent after all it seemed. Hopkins crept slowly up toward the unsuspecting intruders. The boy was using one of his apple buckets as a ladder and the girl was holding it steady for him. Hopkins stealthily approached and then sprinted quietly toward the girl. He easily snatched her by the wrist with his left hand before she could react. "Gotcha!," Hopkins shouted menacingly. He clamped down on the thin girl's wrist, his grip like a vice, and stared at the boy balancing on his bucket. "You! Get off my bucket! Your coming with us," Hopkins instructed. He thought he could wrestle control of both kids if he needed to but it would be easier if the boy cooperated. "I mean unless you're scared of an old man and want to leave your girlfriend here alone to take the fall for you dragging her here,". Hopkins goaded figuring his challenge would be enough to get the boy to cooperate at least for the moment.

Then someone suddenly grope her hand, Sally squealed loudly in horror and released the bucket, so Mike, who jumped up because of tht cry, nearly fell down and had to catch tree's branch. The girl was so scared! Suddenly she remembered all the worst rumors about Hopkins and this place. And... she expected him to be shrunken old man, maybe scary, but not that big. Poor Sally felt like she was catched by some angry troll. "Oh, sir, please... I didn't do anything... Please, let me go-o-o..." she whispered in horror.
Mike really would rather run away - that Hopkins looked much stronger and much more angry than he could imagine.... But he didn't want to leave Sally - at least not after the man depicted it that way. He jumped from the tree and looked at Hopkins with the mix of challenge and pleading. "Hey, mister... Let her go. You can't do that... We... we didn't do anything. Even didn't eat any apple yet. I swear! We... we're sorry. Let us go, please?.."

Hopkins laughed as the girl squealed and then begged him to let her go in a frightened tone of voice. He was more annoyed than amused though when her little boyfriend joined in half challenging him for grabbing the girl. "Oh I should let you go because you didn't eat my apples yet and your sorry should I? Well I don't think so, you were still trespassing and trying to steal my apples. I got signs up all over the place!," Hopkins bellowed, pointing to a partially obscured sign nearby in the trees. "So no I'm not letting her go and YOU are coming with me too. I'm gonna have a talk with both of you about trespassing and make sure you are both very sorry before I let you go. Unless of course you want me to call the police!," Hopkins threatened. He had no intentions of calling the police, but he thought the threat might convince the boy to follow him willingly. "What are your names?", Hopkins demanded as he began pulling the red headed girl toward his house at a rapid rate.

Mike gritted his teeth. This man surely was a real jackass. No chance to convince him to let them go. And police... Mike wasn't sure, but intrusion and attempt of robbing sounded like serious crimes. Of course, no one bring a charge against kids, but that Hopkins looked like he could. "I'm coming... My name is Michael." He followed the man.
Sally walked unwillingly, barely mowing her feet. She was trembling and sniffed quietly from time to time. "Olease, please, mister Hopkins!.. We didn't see the signs, I swear! We didn't see them! Please!.. We're already sorry! Very-very sorry!.. M-my name is... Sally... Please!"

"First smart thing you have done or said all day, Michael," Hopkins chimed back when Michael agreed to follow him and told him his name. Hopkins paid zero attention to Sally's begging and barely even noticed that she wasn't moving her feet as it was so easy for him to drag her along. "Stop you sniveling Sally! You aren't nearly as sorry as you are going to be but there is no reason for all that. I ain't gonna kill you," Hopkins growled at the frightened girl. That was absolutely the closest thing either of them would hear to sympathy from Hopkins.
Hopkins continued to pull Sally along, and quickly approached and passed the side of his large plantation style home. Instead, he led the girl to a large woodshed, which he opened with his free hand. He quickly ushered Sally inside, and then turned and grabbed Michael by the wrist and hauled him inside as well before closing the door behind him and standing in front of it. Hopkins flipped on a light, and a single bare bulb lit up the woodshed, and the pair of intruders could see that there was no way out but the door they entered.
"Alright you two let me make it clear what's going to happen here. You are both in big trouble for trespassing and trying to steal from me. I don't care if you saw the signs or not. I highly doubt y'all didn't know I lived here and even if you didn't you certainly knew those apples belong to whoever did. I don't know if you two have ever been spanked before or not, but you aren't leaving this shed without getting your butts tanned. I'm gonna make sure you both learn a lesson to never trespass or try to steal, especially from me, again. After that you will be free to go. I won't call no cops or your parents or nothin. Oh and if either one of you tries to run, fight back or not cooperate, you BOTH are gonna get much worse. I make myself understood?," Hopkins demanded in a growl. He couldn't wait to see how the little trespassers reacted to what he had in store for them.

"I'm not gonna kill you" totally wasn't something that could calm Sally and help her to relax. But after that she remained silent for a while, only sniffing loudly... and squeaked as she was dragged inside the dark woodshed. That was so frightening and for the second the girleven thought that actually Hopkins plans exectly the murder...
Mike followed Hopkins very unwillingly. He was always thinking that maybe they made a mistake prefering old jerk's punishment to explaining the ploce that they just didn't see the signs... And the dark woodshed only convinced him in it. But Mike couldn't leave poor Sally alone. He found her hand in the darknes and held firmly.
Than they heard about spanking, the kinds reacted in a different ways. Sally's parents (mostly mom) used to spank her from time to time, but rarely and she was always afraid of such punishment most of all. The girl unwillingly covered her bottom (with one hand - Michael was holding the other) and trembled noticably. "Oh, p-pleasr... Mister Hopkins... We didn't want anything bad... We'll never do it again, promise! Please!!.."
Mike had never been spanked in his life - his dad didn't belive in such methods. So he was scared more and less then Sally at the same time: the spanking looked like horrible, unbelivebly humilating and probably very-very painful possibility... but it was kind hard to imagine. "You... You can't... That's against the law, I'm sure..." But Mike's voice was trembling, and he couldn't leave Sally or let her get it worse if he'll run away, and it was clear from his facial expression.
