The Wolf's new Pup

It is evening in the small English countryside town. As dusk approaches, the local orphanage prepares to close up for the night, except for leaving one window unlocked. It was an all-girl orphanage and most of the girls were already being put to bed, including one of the youngest ones, a 6 year old named Charlotte

She's been at the orphanage for nearly 2 years now, ever since her father was killed by some savage creature. The officials believe it to be a wolf, but have since given up trying to find out for certain

Once all the girls were in bed and asleep, one of the orphanage staff placed a small note next to Charlotte's bed

Once all the girls were asleep, Mr Wold slowly crept in through the window, smiling to himself as he looked around the room. The wolf had never killed a person in his life, as he was more interested in punishing little girls than eating people, as opposed to certain other wolves he knew.

Over the years living in the forest, Mr Wolf had gained a reputation for smacking the bottoms of little girls who wondered into the woods, an activity he regularly enjoyed. Due to the fact that his image scared little girls into behaving, the village adults had grown quite fond of him, keeping up friendly contact with the wolf.

One of these contacts, had sent him a letter, requesting him to come to the village orphanage tonight, and to look for the bed with the note beside it. After looking around, he spotted the bed, smiling down at the cute little girl who slept in it. He then reached forward, and picked up the note, before opening it up and beginning to read it.

The note read:

'Mr. Wolf,

This is Charlotte. She has been here with us for 2 years now and is a very high-spirited little girl. Lately we've been feeling she might never be happy with a human family, as hers was taken form her quite roughly and abruptly, based on what we know. We feel she might be happier with you. And we know how much you like having a little girl with you, which is why we contacted you last week.

She looks like she's 4 years old, but she's actually 6. She can be a bit feisty at times, but she's really a sweet girl. I know you will do what you do best, and I pray she'll be happy with you'

The young black haired girl remained deeply asleep, completely ignorant of the shadow now looming over her. She tended to be a very heavy sleeper

Once Mr Wolf read the note, he smiled, placing it back down on the table and looking down fondly at the small child as he did. She was dressed in a cute little light blue nighty, decorated in little yellow moons and stars, completing her toddler like appearance.

Gently, he reached down, and scooped the small girl into his arms, feeling her nuzzle against him as he did. Once she was comfy, he walked to the window, and climbed back out of it, before making his own way back towards the forest, where his cozy little cottage was situated.

Charlotte softly moaned as she was picked up. But she didn't stir. She nuzzled close, finding the suddenly furry bedding to be very warm and comfortable

Mr Wolf smiled as she did, making his way into his cottage, and walking to the living room, sitting the small girl in his lap as he sat down.

During the trip to the cottage in the forest, Charlotte huddled close, as the night air was a little be nippy, and she moaned in slight protest

She began to stir as he sat in the chair

Mr Wolf smiled down at the child, feeling her slowly awaken.

He knew that she'd be in for a big surprise when she was awake, making him chuckle a little.

She moaned as she stirred. She soon stretched ad yawned, rather cutely

He smiled as she did, thinking how cute she looked as she slowly woke up.
