John was tired after his hunt, plus it had been pretty shit considering the Wendigo had gotten away. He opened the door and looked over to his boys. Dean had just come into the room and Sam was on the sofa...with a cat? "The hell is that?" he asked, closing the door and pointing a slightly grubby finger at the little black kitten on the sofa beside his youngest child.

Dean smirked, "Jeez Sammy, a kitten, really? Could you be more gay, dude?" he snorted and went over to pet the little thing, "She got a name?"

Laina hugged her loose hoody to her body and walked bare foot through the forest. She needed food soon, her grace was dying out and if she didn't eat, she could die of starvation. The eleven year old girl pushed her reddish brown hair back behind her ear and then caught whiff of something, food.

She followed the scent and soon found herself at a little house in the middle of a clearing. She climbed in through the window and went to the fridge, opening it and she began stuffing her face, trying to be quiet and not alert anyone.

Sam looked over at his brother when Dean came into the room and made a comment about the kitten that he was petting, the boy making a face as he shot back, "Shut up Dean!" His gaze then turned to the door as his dad made an appearance and pointed his finger while at the same time asking what it was that he was holding.

"A kitten," Sam told the man in a sort of blunt voice, the boy knowing damn good and well that his dad already knew what it was but that was the answer that came to mind and so it was what came out of his mouth.

Bobby Singer was in his office working on some research when he heard the sound of something in the kitchen and with his hunter's instincts he immediately thought the worst. Looking over he grabbed the silver knife that was on the desk beside the stack of books he'd been pouring over and then he rose to his feet and quietly made his way toward the kitchen.

He was being as quiet as he could since he didn't want to alert whatever was there of his intentions and he was shocked when he saw who it was that was rifling through his fridge.

"Wait...yer just a dang kid?" he asked, not bothering to be quiet anymore.

John rose a brow and walked over, lightly smacking the back of Sammy's head in a sort of warning. "I know it's a damn kitten, the hell is it doing here?" he asked, rubbing his face hard and groaning a bit. Sam having a kitten wasn't such a big deal, it might even help him get over Jess. "Just make sure it don't scratch everythin' up and make a mess." he told him before making his way into the kitchen and grabbing a beer for himself.

Dean laughed and sat down beside his brother, petting the little cat's head and smirking. "So ya give it a name or what, Sammy?" he asked.

Laina squeaked and jumped, falling back on her bottom when Bobby came in. She scrambled away from him and over to the corner, not sure what to do. The man was holding a weapon so maybe he was going to hurt her. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a knife of her own. "Stay...stay back!" she growled and squirmed a bit, holding the knife out in a shaky hand. "Put the knife down!"

She wasn't sure if this man intended on hurting her or not, but she wasn't about to take any chances. Plus she was still really hungry.

Sam yelped when he ended up getting smacked on the back of the head, the young man giving his dad a look but he bit back the retort that he wanted to make. "It's here because I brought it here," he said a bit defensively before looking at his brother as the older man sat down beside him on the couch and once again asked if he had given the cat a name. "No, I just found it when I was walking back here," he said, looking down at the little black kitten.

The kitten meowed softly and then hopped from the couch, sauntering a few steps across the room and then suddenly shifting from a little black kitten to a little girl, looking around six or seven, with black hair and black kitten ears and a tail.

"What the FUCK?!" Sam exclaimed as he witnessed that little display, not having thought for a second that he'd taken in a shifter.

Bobby watched as the girl jumped back and ended up falling, the man actually feeling bad about that since he hadn't meant to scare her that badly. He kept his gaze on her as she retreated across the room and when she pulled the knife out and growled at him the man snorted at her.

"Like hell little girl," the man said as he walked across the room and took the knife from her, turning her around and giving her one swat to her bottom before turning her back so he could look into her eyes. "Now what're ya doin' here kid?" he asked though his tone, while still gruff, wasn't threatening.

Dean smirked and shook his head, "Yer lame Sammy, you shoulda chose a name by now." he answered and opened up a can of beer for himself. He sipped it and watched the little cat when it jumped down, though what happened next caused him to do one of those classic spit takes. "What the!? Wait...what?! DAD!!! Sam got a shifter!!!!" he called over and looked at the little girl, she was pretty cute, especially with the little cat ears and tail.

John strode into the room and looked at the kid and then at his OWN kid. "Sam! The hell?! You gotta be more damn responsible than that! I thought'cha knew shifters were trouble?" he asked and picked up the little girl, "And you coulda turned into a kid quicker, so yer in trouble too, missy." he told her, tone a little more gentle.

Laina yelped when Bobby smacked her bottom, and she pulled away a bit, whimpering and looking up at him slightly. "I-I....I was hungry...and if I didn't eat somethin' soon...I would died of hunger...my Angel grace is going out." she explained and rubbed her bottom a little bit. "I didn't mean to steal, I just wanted some food." she explained, her stomach growling as she looked over to the food that was all currently spilled on the floor, and not in the neatest of fashions.

"Please sir...I just wanted some food, and then I'll go away..."

"You keep saying that Dean, it doesn't make it true," Sam told his brother when the older man said that he was lame, the younger not really bothered by that. Of course all thoughts of his brother and their sibling taunting vanished when the 'kitten' that he'd brought home with him ended up turning into a little girl, Sam cursing in response to that and then looking at his brother and shaking his head.

"No Dean, don't," he started to say but it was too late and he groaned when his dad came back and sort of ranted at him. "I didn't even know it was a shifter, she just looked like a cat! Since when do they even turn into house cats."

The little girl made a move to dart away and then looked at John when he picked her up and said that she was in trouble. "Le'go," she told him, her green eyes focused on the man.

Bobby looked at the little girl as she tried to distance herself from him a bit but he was still holding her so she couldn't really go far. He listened patiently as she explained to him what it was that she was doing and he was startled to hear that she was...an angel. "An angel? You mean a for real angel?" he questioned her, realizing that he sounded sort of dumb but that was one thing that he had never encountered and so he was surprised.

The man shook that off when she mentioned food and he looked at her and said, "I'll feed ya...but yer not goin' nowhere. I'm gonna guess that ya ain't really got nowhere to go." He looked at her as he said that, waiting for the girl to confirm that was the truth and after a moment he turned and started to clean up the mess and then moved to make her something to eat.

"Sit down at the table," he told her, his tone losing some of the sternness at this point and sounding concerned.

John looked at the little girl, right into her green eyes, and it was like looking at Dean when he was that age. "No little missy, yer gonna get a spankin' just like Sammy." he told her and then looked to his youngest boy. "Sammy, get yer butt in the corner, and if ya dare argue back, I'll make sure you don't sit fer a month." he warned though he wasn't being literal about that since he'd never hurt his kids beyond a sore bottom. "Move it Sam." he ordered, pointing to the corner and then he sat down and placed the young girl over his knee.

"Right li'l missy, if yer gonna be in this family, then yer gonna learn that'cha get spanked when ya misbehave." he told her and gave her small bottom, one little smack.

Laina blinked at him and then nodded her head slightly, "Yeah, a real Angel..." she answered slightly confused, she had no idea humans didn't know about Angels. She smiled a bit when he said he would feed her, that sounds like such good news right now since she could feel her grace dying out by the minute. "Okay..." she answered, sitting down at the table and watching Bobby carefully, since she wasn't sure if she could trust him. "S-So you're not going to...hurt me?" she asked, though her bottom still stung a bit.

"And why did you smack me?" she asked, frowning a bit.

The little girl looked at him when he sort of scolded her again and she shook her head and said in a soft voice, "Nuh uh." She only vaguely knew what a spanking was but she knew that she didn't want one.

Of course that paled in comparison to how Sam felt about it and the young man gave his dad a 'you've gotta be kidding' look when he was told that he was getting a spanking. "You can't be serious Dad. I'm a grown ass man, I'm too old for that," Sam protested despite the fact that his dad pretty much told him not to argue about it.

Nishi looked over at Sam as he protested and she giggled at the curse words, finding those funny, though that faded when she found herself over John's knee. "Owie!" she complained when he gave her bottom a light smack.

"Well I'll be darned," Bobby said when the girl confirmed that she was in fact an angel, that one taking him by surprise though he brushed that off easily enough and just ordered her to the table. He watched her and then went about making something for the girl to eat, the man making a grilled cheese for the girl since that was fast and he knew that most children liked it.

He turned to place the plate on the table for her right as she asked about him hurting her and he paused, listening to the second question before he answered. "Well I'll never injure ya but a spankin's not outta the question if ya deserve it," Bobby told her before he added, "A spankin' is where a child gets their bottom smacked for bein' naughty. And stealin' food was naughty even if ya were hungry...ya shoulda knocked on the door an' asked."

John put the little girl aside on the sofa for a minute before striding over to Sam with that 'you're in big trouble' look. He got him up by his arm and swatted his bottom three times before then standing him in the corner, "Yer never too old fer a spankin' Samuel." he told him firmly and then went back to Nishi, scooping her up gently and then he sat down and put the child over his knee, giving her small bottom a smack. He was being careful to temper the blows however because she was only seven and he didn't want to hurt her.

"Dean keep an eye on Sammy, would'ja?" he asked and then delivered another smack to the small bottom. "Why didn'tcha let Sammy know ya were a shifter?" he asked her sternly.

Laina looked up at him as he put the plate of grilled cheese on the table in front of her, and she smiled. "Thanks sir." she answered and then he told her that he'd never injure her but he'd spank her and that a spanking was when a child got their bottom smacked for being naughty. "But...that sounds painful..." she whimpered and kept her eyes on him. "You're not...gonna spank me for stealing your food and breaking in...right sir?" she asked worriedly and started eating the grilled cheese, it tasted so good. "Wow! This tastes really nice!"

"Thanks Sir, what's your name?" Laina asked.

Sam knew that he had messed up the moment that his dad put the little girl down and he really wanted to make a break for it but he realized that was a bad idea and so he didn't act on that. He did have to bite back a yelp as his bottom was smacked and he found himself in the corner, that causing him to blush bright red since it was embarrassing to be put in the corner at his age.

Nishi started to clamber down from the couch when she was put down but the man picked her up again before she could and she yelped as her bottom was swatted again. "Don' know what t'at is...but peoples like the kittehs an'...an' I wanted food and cuddles," the little girl said, not even knowing what a shifter was.

Bobby offered the girl a smile and a nod of his head when the little one thanked him for the food. "Yer welcome," he told her as he moved to sit across from her, his gaze going to the child as he explained to her about a spanking and he nodded his head when she said that it sounded painful. "It stings but I would never leave marks and the pain fades pretty fast," he explained to her, going on to explain about a spanking and when she asked if he was going to do that because she had stolen from him the man nodded his head.

"My name's Bobby," he told her when she asked and then he added, "What's yer name lil' lady?"
