Naruto and Sakura Have to WHAT?!! (Anybody)

It had been a few weeks since that day... That terrible day since Sasuke Uchiha of Konoha had betrayed them. He still remembered the entire mission. All of it, up the point where he had passed out after defeating Kidomaru. After that, there had been the return to Konoha and the aftermath. Kami-sama, the idea that Sasuke was with Orochimaru now...

They had all recovered, but the feeling of gloom remained, most notably on Naruto and Sakura, especially Sakura. Sasuke's departure was affecting her too much. It was... eating her up. She hadn't been herself lately.

But Neji Hyuga had another matter on his hands at the moment. One which involved the two mentioned Genin, and he had a feeling it was going to drive him insane or kill him from frustration, whichever came second.

His cousin Hinata had grown a bit more confident since the end of the Chunin exams, despite her loss (courtesy of him). Both she and him had changed a little for the better thanks to Naruto, although Neji was beginning to wonder just why he had agreed to his cousin's request in the first place. Kami-sama, he must have been insane to agree! But then, it was the job of the cadet branch to uphold the wishes of the main family, so he (reluctantly) agreed.

But still, to actually suggest an idea of this caliber! It was unthinkable! Atrocious! He couldn't believe Hiashi had actually agreed to this (although he had also been skeptical about this too).

Neji could see Naruto and Sakura up ahead. This was not going to go well. He just knew it wasn't...

Sakura walked ahead her face down, feeling gloomy. Her pink hair brushed against her face, her green eyes distraught with anxiety. Sasuke kun....why did he have to go?

After she heard about the offer of her and Naruto staying with the Hyugas, she decided to do it. After all, it might the best for her now.

She looked up to see Neji up ahead. Normally, the girl would wave but instead she just stared at him and looked back down. "This wasn't a good idea...still maybe this can help me." Her thoughts were clouded with the image of Sasuke being with Orochimaru and her eyes filled with tears. Why...why would he do such a thing?

Nearing Neji, she stopped with Naruto to face him. She looked up and said a curt, "Hi." then folded her arms against her chest.

Neji sighed. He wasn't the self righteous person he used to be, but he was very irritated at the moment. This was going to be the most degrading experience of his life, and he had a feeling that these two were either going to drive his clan to insanity or just cause the compound to collapse in on itself. This was madness!

"Good to see you both." Neji said. "Now let's get to the point. Hinata-sama has invited you both to stay at the Hyuga compound and I don't need to tell you that for anyone in Konoha to receive such an invitation is more than an honor. My clan is very selective about the people we will allow into our quarters."

"However, to ensure that you both are on your best behavior, I cannot allow you to just 'come' to the compound." Neji said, eying both of them, Naruto in particular. "I am required, both by order of the main branch and of my own choice, to give you both lessons in etiquette. Before I can even allow you to set foot in the Hyuga manor, I shall have to teach you both how to behave around my relatives."

"This is my clan we are talking about." Neji continued. "You will need proper etiquette if you even hope to be accepted by them."

Sakura raised an eye brow. "Lessons in proper etti-" she began but Naruto had cut her off.

"What? Why do we need lessons? Last time i checked we were staying with the Hyugas not the Hokage!" The blond said. "And we need to be accepted? Ugh Please don't start with me destiny boy, dattebayo." Naruto couldn't help to laugh.

Sakura was not amused however. She smacked Naruto hard in the head. "Cut it out will you!" She growled, inner sakura obviously coming out. "Can you get anymore annoying!? God, Naruto you are SO immature!"

The entire time Naruto was whimpering and holding his head. "S..Sakura chan..."

Yes the two of them were quite the pair.

Neji could feel his irritation beginning to rise, but he took a breath and his temper went back down. It wasn't like him to lose his temper, not to mention it was unbecoming for someone-let alone a ninja-to become angry over something like this. He would need to explain things in further detail.

"Naruto, destiny determines nothing. You taught me that and I am grateful for that." Neji said (he found it hard to believe Naruto had forgotten that). "But that is beside the point. What is important is that the Hyuga clan is very selective about whom they will associate with. We are a clan of nobility and prestige, and our abilities have to be closely guarded. I told you about this before."

"However," Neji continued, "Hinata-sama has managed to talk my uncle, who is leader of the Hyuga clan, into allowing you into our quarters for awhile. My uncle is... interested by this proposition." Indeed Hiashi was, given that Naruto was the one who had defeated Neji in the Chunin exams despite being pummeled by the clan's most dangerous techniques.

"Now I am going to have to give you both lessons on how to behave in my home. You have both just given good examples of how not to behave. Naruto with your... little speech, and Sakura with your... slight outburst." He was trying to be as polite as he could.

Naruto couldn't help to smirk. "I know I was only teasing Neji since the first time we met you use to go on and on about your destiny. I'm glad I could've helped you unlike....Sasuke...."

Seeing Naruto look sad at the thought of Sasuke, Sakura bit her lip. Shaking the idea of Sasuke on where he was now, she said quickly. "I couldn't help to yell at him Neji with his stupidity! And...I guess we owe you an apology. Go ahead and teach us your lessons of etiquette."

Naruto who seemed to be in his own world, deep in thought, was broken from his thoughts. "So are you going to teach us how to eat with knives and forks and hold our cups with our pinky out and stuff like that?" He smiled.

Sakura rolled her eyes. "Can you quit joking around?" But she too was curious on what Neji was going to teach them.

Now Neji was officially irritated. Naruto had no idea what he was up against. He had better wise up and take things seriously or else. He had been given special permission to discipline these two if they did not listen, although not too harshly...

"Do not joke about this Naruto." Neji said. "My clan takes things very seriously and you had best be on your best behavior if you don't want to be thrown out or worse. First, I'm going to demonstrate to you personally what not to do when you meet Hiashi-sama, leader of the Hyuga clan."

Neji was glad they were in the forest and away from everybody else. If anybody saw him doing this he would never live it down...

"When you meet Hiashi-sama, you are not to go..."

And suddenly in a very loud voice, completely unlike the reserved voice that was his trademark, Neji suddenly shouted in a jovial tone: "HI, I'M UZUMAKI NARUTO! IT'S NICE TO MEET YOU! I'M GOING TO BE HOKAGE, DATTEBAYO!"

"Do you understa-"

But that was all Naruto would let him get out...

"WHAT? I DO NOT SOUND LIKE THAT TTEBAYO! AND I WILL BE THE HOKAGE STUPID!" Naruto glared daggers at Neji.

Sakura sighed. "Naruto...he was just trying to make a point." Although her inner self was secretly laughing.

"A point!? You call that a point? Well in any case I sound a whole lot cooler then Neji." Naruto said jokingly.

Sakura smacked her forehead. "Oi..."

Enough.

That. Was. ENOUGH!

It seemed strange. Naruto had been so mature during the Chunin exams and during their mission to retrieve Sasuke, but now he was back to being... well, himself again. If he acted like this in front of Hiashi, he wouldn't last a second. There was perhaps only one way Neji could get through to him.

Neji remembered various times during the days at the academy that Iruka had grown particularly irked by Naruto's behavior. There had been a few times when Iruka had led Naruto out into the hall by the ear and shut the door behind them. This had been followed by Naruto shouting a few things, then silence, and finally the sounds of Naruto sobbing, which would eventually turn to wailing, and then finally flat out bawling. A few minutes later the sounds would become muffled and Iruka would lead a sniffling Naruto back into the room. Naruto would not sit for the remainder of the day (or a few days afterward), but he would behave better than Neji had ever seen him behave.

With two quick steps, Neji glided up to Naruto and seized him by the wrist. He sat down on a nearby treestump and pulled the blonde over his lap, yanking down the pants of his orange jumpsuit in the process.

"Listen to me." Neji hissed. "If you aren't going to take this seriously, then I will give you a lecture on how to be lectured! Do you understand?!"

Neji punctuated this by beginning to smack Naruto's bottom repeatedly.

Sakura blinked. No way...no way...Neji didn't just...Neji isn't...he...is! Standing there completely in a daze, Sakura could not believe the sight she was seeing.

As for Naruto, he couldn't be anymore confused. It was totally unexpected, not to mention degrading since the fact that he was right in front of Sakura. Plus he, Naruto Uzumaki, being spanked by Neji? It was down right humiliating!

"N..Neji...what the...w...what the hell are you doing?!" Naruto cried out. When Neji began to spank him, he let out a yelp. "This...this cannot be happening!" Naruto thought out loud. Yes, Naruto had been spanked before, and of course he deserved it! But to be spanked by someone...like Neji?

Naruto began to squirm. He had to put an end to this...this was completely awkward.
