The Greatest Guilds Ever ((Closed for Crymedawg))

Trina gave a sigh as she looked up at the large building that loomed over her and her friend. "Well, here we are... Manawell Academy. It's kind of amazing to think that this place is where so many great guilds originated from." she said, looking around while her bag hung off her shoulder. Truth be told, she didn't look like much of an adventurer, nor did her friend. Technically, they were just more kids going to another school... though this one would probably be much more... well, frankly, she couldn't think of anything that DIDN'T surpass the ordinary schools. Looking around, they saw others in robes, armor, weilding weapons or spellbooks, and plenty of other more fantastic sites compared to the two of them. The two of them, however, were wearing everyday clothes. Trina herself was clad in a white t-shirt and a knee-length red skirt, along with some matching sneakers. "You know, Kyle and Belle are supposed to be attending too, right? Think there's any chance we'll be able to room with them or something?" she asked her friend. Both of them had family who'd already started attending Manawell years ago, one of whom was her older brother Kyle.

"I 'unno." Himei said, shrugging his shoulders. He himself had on a white collared shirt and jeans pants with black and white sneakers. While Trina had a bag over her shoulder, he had a tote bag around his neck. "I read that you room with your guild in a guildhall. So unless we find their guild, I highly doubt we'll actually be able to... Never know till we go in and find out. So let's hop to it." he said with a smile, heading inside.

He had to marvel at the interior of the building. On the outside, it had just looked like a large, brick building with some flags hung up on the outside. On the INSIDE, however, it was amazing. The floor seemed to be made of pure pearls, to the point where it was almost REFLECTIVE and shining brightly, while there were two great white pillars to either side of the door. Far ahead of them was a staircase leading upwards, at the top of which it said 'sign ups' on a large banner above a door. Aside from that, there were a ton of people walking around, minding their own business, all wearing robes, armor, or impossibly cool looking clothes. "Holy... Hell..." Himei said breathlessly as he stared, trying to take it all in.

Trina looked at him curiously when he mentioned how rooming was decided before giving a sigh. She was kinda just hoping she could keep her roommates with the people that she knew, but in a boarding school, that was probably hopeless. Still, his smile made her perk up and she immediately returned the gesture. "Heh, yeah. Let's go see." she grinned.

Trina had expected a lot of impressive stuff when they went inside, but none of it was what she actually saw. She had to wonder just how rich the school's owner was. As far as she knew, Pearl was expensive enough to line in a necklace. Halfling a whole FLOOR made of it... she was pretty sure that the room along was worth more then all the money they'd ever make in their life. She had to wonder if the pillars were just as expensive, like being made of ivory or something. "Yeah... no kidding." Trina said, blinking and staring in disbelief. After getting over the shock and awe though, she eventually noticed the banner. "Uh... I-I think we go that way." she said dumbly, pointing at the door.

"Yeah... Let's go!" Himei said, nodding, and heading up the stairs. He pushed open the doors to the room(since, quite frankly, they were larger than him and Trina. The door was nowhere NEAR as normal-sized as it had looked from a far. Neither of them were even as tall as the door KNOB!), then blinking. This room looked like a library, books lining the walls and everything. The standout thing, though, was the enormous blue sphere in the middle behind a desk. There were two hooded people on either side of it, who seemed be actually tending the stand, but their faces couldn't be seen.

"Speak your desire." Himei jumped in surprise as the SPHERE itself seemed to speak, a light shining from within it with each syllable it said. It didn't seem to have a gender, or rather it didn't SOUND like it. It sounded like a distorted voice that changed tones constantly. Himei recomposed himself quickly before walking forward and looking up at it. Luckily, he and Trina were the only ones in this room apart from the sphere and two hooded people.

"We wish to join a guild, and be a part of Manawell Academy!" he said firmly.

"..... Children such as yourself, wish to join an Elite Facility such as this?" the sphere questioned. ".... Very well then. You shall have your wish. Surprise to see the youth of this day interested in bettering the world. What do you desire to become?"

Himei glanced at Trina with surprise and excitement! This is what they'd been waiting for! The opportunity to choose a 'class'! Classes meaning the way the treated situations, be they for combat or for anything else on and OFF a battlefield. Apparently this school had some sort of COSMIC list of things that could be done with them. "I wish to be a level Battler of The Iron Fist!" Himei said, looking up at the sphere. After all, that WAS his fighting style. A combination of styles from a TON of different things.

Trina followed after Himei before staring up at the doors in disbelief. She couldn't believe that the building was actually meant for people that tall, and muttered a small curse under her breath that they got to be tall when her and Himei were short for their age.

She looked around in confusion at seeing what was inside. She was more expecting a student council member or something sitting at a desk with.....well, a sign-up sheet! Like Himei, she jumped and looked around in confusion when the sphere started talking to them. She almost had to wonder if the SPHERE was supposed to be the headmaster. She held her breath when Himei said they wanted to join, worried they'd be refused, but instead they were let in. She immediately grinned back at Himei before watching him step forward. She couldn't help but grin when he picked his class. No surprise there.

Trina then stepped forward herself. She knew she wasn't physically tough, and instead would need some... magical assistance. She then walked beside him and looked at the sphere. "I wish to be a talent Spellblade of Aeselia!" she said as well, planning to let her magic skills make up for a lack of muscle.

"Very well. You both shall be able to do so. I take it you know about the level system of the school?" the sphere questioned. Himei nodded and smiled.

"I've spent forever studying this place. I know all about it!" he said proudly, before slowly glancing at Trina.

Trina smiled when the sphere accepted them both before looking over when Himei glanced at her and immediately frowning. "W-What!? I do too!" she said back, giving him a look. Admittedly, she just knew what he'd told her about before, so she was a bit shaky. "The level system helps tell who's tougher then each other and when you can take on missions... t-that's it, isn't it?" she asked Himei, whispering the last part and leaning over.

Both Himei AND the sphere sighed at that, the former facepalming even. "Allow me to explain." Himei said, rollin his eyes. "The leveling system at Manawell is that students get watches attuned to their class that they selected. Everything they do accumulates experience, like a video game." he explained, trying to use terms she'd understand. "The watches track everything you do, and also keep track of your health, experience point and level. It also helps you monitor what you specifically can do in your class. I heard there's some new features added to the latest models, but so far as I know, that's what it does in basic terms."

"Very good, child." the sphere said. "I am glad to know your interest in our facility is genuine. As for the newer models, they have a few more features added to them to make them more readily useful in situations when needed. You shall receive your watches upon finding your dorm. Do not worry about reporting back to say which one you are joining. We will know. For now, find the guild you wish to join and we will give them the watches to give you." it explained. "Now go through the door you came from, down the hall to the left, and out the first door on your right to get to the courtyard. THEN you will be able to see recruiting guilds. Try not to be too overwhelmed."

Himei nodded, smiling brightly before taking Trina's hand in his own. "C'mon! Let's get going! We need to find Kyle and Belle's guild!" he said. "Especially if they're out there!"

Trina pouted at them both at the look they gave her. She sighed and rolled her eyes as she listened to Himei, explaining what the watches were for and how levels worked. She was a bit annoyed, easily picking up on what he was doing with his word choice. "Okay, okay, I get it." she said, sticking her tongue out at him. It only got more annoying when the sphere seemed to also acknowledge that Himei was smarter then her. She blinked briefly when they mentioned some new features for the watches when they already sounded amazing enough as is. Then again, maybe that was why they didn't have to report back either.

"Uh, a-alright. We'll do that." Trina said, giving a somewhat confused nod as she heard the directions. She was about to look at Himei before yelping as he suddenly grabbed her and dragged her off. "Okay, okay, calm down!" she said, smiling and following after him. "Do you have any idea what the guild they're in is called?"

Himei skidded to a stop at that, before blushing in embarassment. "Ah... heh... Eh... No. I... No." he sighed, facepalming. "Dammit. Still, there's gotta be someone who recognizes their names, so we should just ask around I think." He told her, going through the door before staring in surprise. "Whoa." he said breathlessly. The courtyard was a large, rectangular outdoor area. And currently, it looked like they were having one HUGE festival. There were tons of people out there walking around, and hundreds of stands where guilds were showcasing themselves to newcomers. "Yeah... We're... Not gonna find them too easily in this." he admitted, shaking his head. "Still. Let's look for a guild to join anyway. Should be interesting, yeah?" he asked her with a smile, putting his hands in his pockets.
