How to raise a neko (for Pippy-kun)

Early one evening, as the sun began to set behind the hills far into the distance, Sam Stiller strolled casually through the fields of his expansive farmland, admiring his own handiwork as he approached his farmhouse for some well earned rest.

Sam had worked morning noon and night for the past four months preparing for harvest, but now that it was all sold, he could finally get a couple of months of R&R before having to start it up all over again.

However, the young farmers thoughts of freedom were brought to a hault when he noticed that his front door was open, knowing for definite that he had locked it before going out. As such, he slowly entered his house, unsure about who or what had broken in, and where it might be.

One of these questions was soon answered, when he heard a scrabbling noise coming from the kitchen, as if something was searching through his drawers for something important. Still cautious, Sam crept quietly towards the doorway of his kitchen, peeking his head in to see what was causing the noise.

The door had indeed been unlocked some how and gotten into... But by what?

None other then Nami, A local orphan cat girl she was quite young still not tall enough to reach into most of the cabinets but her little scampering feet ran around the floor as she managed to open the door to the fridge and pull out some butter and bread to eat on and because it was so dark she just thought the house had been abandoned by now.

Sam was more than a little surprised by what he saw, never expecting that a child (let alone a neko child) would be the one robbing him. The girl was rather small, with light brown hair, matching ears and tail, and a baggy light blue shirt that acted as a makeshift dress for her.



After he got over his momentary shock, he decided the best course of action would be to speak to the child, to find out what she was doing in his house. As such, he put on a friendly smile and entered the kitchen, not wanting to frighten the girl given how young she was. "Hello there" he said softly, looking down at her as he spoke, "what are you doing in here?".

Nami let out a small mew in shock dropping her buttered bread on the floor, Scattering back into the door of the fridge "W-WHAT do you mean!?" She said looking around more seeing the place was clearly not abandon now "B-But N-Nami Thought..." she said to her self as she started tearing up "N-Nami D-Didn't mean to...." She sunk to her knees starting to cry she had no idea someone was here and that she now was going to be sent back to that nasty orphanage she had been running so far away from.

Seeing the girls surprise made Sam smile a little, but when she began to cry, he couldn't help but feel a little sorry for her. She was just a small thing after all, and she was clearly frightened about what she had been caught doing. "Hey" he said gently, reaching down and lifting the neko up, before gently hugging her in his arms, rubbing her back softly to soothe her. "There's no need to cry" he said, continuing to hug the girl as he spoke, "I'm not going to hurt you".

Nami Kept crying for a minute mewing slightly once picked up and just kept her self snuggled close to Sam before looking up "N-Nami w-Was hungery!" she said as her stomach started to rumble as she spoke and her ears flattened "Y-you going to kick Na-Nami out too? Nobody wants Nami But I go... Don't worry..." She said trying to wiggle her self free from the man's grasp for a moment.

When Sam saw her wriggle to get out of his arms, he carried her over to the nearby kitchen counter and sat her down on it. "Just wait a minute" he said, "if you're hungry, I'm sure I could get you something to eat". He was a little unsure of what would be acceptable to feed the girl, though he did remember reading somewhere that neko kittens enjoyed being fed milk.

Nami wiggled her feet a bit swinging them back and forth as she watched Sam Closely keeping her guard but let out a small mew, Then getting distracted by her own hands for a bit.

Sam then began to look around the kitchen for something to feed the neko, pulling out a baby bottle from a nearby cupboard once he did. He then filled it up with some milk from the fridge, before gently lying the child against his arm, and pointing the bottle towards her. "Here you are" he said kindly, "some nice yummy milk to drink".

The small neko let out a small fanged mew before batting her hands at it for a second then suckling on it happily making some what of a purring noise as she did causing her little blue eyes to light up.
