Alphys was busying herself with working on new experiments possibly involving bringing anime characters to life, when she heard Mettaton enter. "Oh! H-hi Mettaton!! W-what did you n-need?" she stuttered as usual.

"Must I need a reason to visit my favorite scientist?" Mettaton asked, crossing his arms. "But yes, I've been having an issue lately."

Alphys had a bad feeling as soon as Mettaton called her his "favorite scientist", and it only escalated when he told her he was having an issue. "W-What is it?"

The robot huffed. "Ever since I fought Frisk, my limbs have been falling over quite frequently while preforming. I'm not sure if they did something or what." He explained, shifting his stance slightly.

Alphys grew suspicious instantly. She had fixed Mettaton's arms and attached them after the fight, meaning if they were continuing to fall off, Mettaton had to have been doing something to make them fall off. "M-Mettaton, are you sure it's just because you fought F-Frisk? Y-You fought them t-two months ago, and this has been going on for only w-what, three weeks? S-So if there's s-something you're not t-telling me, I suggest you t-tell me now." Her voice became very stern by the end, almost...paternal.

Mettaton blinked, surprised by the sudden change of tone in Alphys' voice. He never heard her talk like that before. "W-Well, I've been taking up more performances lately, but I doubt that'd be an issue...."
