I can’t add the description to an image

I went to my usual process, when I hit upload, I saw a weird sting of code for a second, barely sees it and then the usual image was successfully uploaded, an then the image appears… without the description text, show above:

I tried to edit the image several times and the text never appears, in one of these attempts I jus put “Suggested by Darkzone” and this appears, when I saw this I added the next paragraph and then noting appears…

Yes I wait a few minutes to see if the server takes a time to reflect the changes and noting happened, but when I put “Suggested by Darkzone” this change appears immediately…

So what seems to be the problem? Is my text? Could it be fixed?

This is a major issue to me, I can’t stand one image (or the next images) without the description it makes me feel uncomfortable, I know you have a lot of issues with the new server but I hope you can check this one.

Update: I try to add a comment on my own image and I got this: “You did not fill in the comments or rating field.” So… I wrote this on WORD then copy paste on the page, this have something to do with this issue?

It really doesn't like your ellipses (the ... that winword combines into 1 character). Change those to normal periods and it should work

Done, changed, removed and didn’t work, in both cases the description and the comment… this text was wrote on winword, and works fine in the forum, but I know that the forum and the gallery are two different creatures…

I wrote the comment direct on the window, and it worked!!!

and... that sucks since I’m not a native English speaker I rely on winword to help me with my spelling on English, well I know this now, so I think I have to adapt to this somehow

Had to remove the special quotes too (“”), so it's up now. Looks like the gallery really isn't liking anything beyond the basic ascii set. Does anyone know if this is a new thing?

At the end I have to remove everything, even the commas, but finally works, I starting to believe that the gallery needs a spanking for not liking the extended ASCII extended symbols…

I have it on my list to look into when I am not swamped.

Spent a good amount of time on this, and its a no go. The author of the photo gallery clearly didn't expect anything to be used but basic english characters. Won't be worth trying to fix
