Scar is in charge (a lion king story)

Young Simba and Nala were playing in the pride lands. But were confused by an odd sound… “do you hear that?” Napa asked as simba nodded, they crouched down to try and investigate. Hiding in the bushes as they saw what was the source of the sound.

The king of the pride, Mufasa, and his loyal subject and friend zazu were there. They were… eating an elephant… simba gasped silently. His dad had told him about the food chain, and how every element of it was necessary to keep the existent of the pride in its shape. Lions at antelope… they didn’t eat elephants. They were needed for the ecosystem… “this isn’t right.” He said softly and Nala nodded… “we need to tell someone? But we can’t tell your dad… he’s there… well… let’s tell rafiki?” She asked and he nodded. Let’s go!

[Jinchu]

Mufasa had a lot of doubts about that. His old teacher Rafiki always told him not to upset the circle of life and insisted that the king should never abuse his power. However, the elephant was almost dead then the lion had found him; he apperently failed to reach the infamous Elephant Graveyard. It only took a swift bite, a gesture of mercy, really...


"Is that ok, Zazu?" Mufasa asked doubtfully.



"Sure thing, majesty!" the bird responded, finishing with the dead animal's eyes. "However if you're full we'd better leave the corpse be. Some naive beasts might be confused about your royal rights if tehy accidnetly see us..."


"You are right..." Mufasa mumbled, burping and walking to the Pride Rock...

When they got back simba and nala had a clear rushed head start to tell the monkey of power what they had seen, and the wise Rafiki was not pleased in the slightest. He had talked swiftly to scar to stay near him but out of site until he was called. But he knew he’d be seeing the king of the pride soon. And he would have quite strong words with him about remembering his place in the circle of life, and how he would need to earn back his position as leader… it would not be an easy battle. And while Rafiki did not think highly of the kings brother… he would have to do.

“SIMBA ZAZU!” He said firmly not even bowing like he usually did. “Come HERE” he said firmly and loudly.

[Jinchu]

The king's tail immediately hid ebtween his hind legs as he heard that voice. Then he was just a cub, Mufasa had spent more then enough time over Rafiki's lap, crying his eyes out, and it always started from teh call like this. Of course, now he was grown up and the leader of the pryde and it couldn't happen again... Still, Mufasa felt guilyu about teh elephant, and he run to the old mandril in a way taht made it quite clear.



"Yes, Rafiki?" the king asked, trying to act naturally.



Zazu flew along with him, after a short hestitation. He was not used to be around that shaman and kind of disliked him. What did he want from them?

“Young master simba and his friend Nala have told me what you have done. The disgrace! Breaking the circle of life! Ending a creatures life against your code and food chain, and out of the graveyard to mess with the rest of the food chains in the area!” He said angrily as he kept whacking mufasa on the head and side to emphasize his points. Before pointing to zazu. “And you, despite all your flaunting on your power and place in this kingdom, out of your place on the council, you accept this behavior? Showing how little you care about what’s right rather what’s good for you, to have him as your friend and partner.” He said as he didn’t whack him… in case of serious injuring him, but he placed his finer hard against his beak, enough his finger almost entered zazu nostril.

“You two… are in trouble. You may be king. But I am the top of the circle of life, and the kings of above have sent me a message. To disgrace the two of you, until you have convinced them you have changed… you are both stripped in your titles entirely.

[Jinchu]

Mufasa didn't try to stop the mandril from hitting him, just lowering his head and hiding his tail between his hind legs. He was even more ashamed now teh he learnt hsi own son had seen his disgrace and misconduct.



Zazu turned his head away from the monkey's finger, but didn't dare to fly away without the king's order... and prefered not to say anything, feeling as his eloquence would not help to impress the old shaman. But he uttered a loud surprised and dissatisfied yelp as he had heard Rafiki's sentence.


"Rafiki... old friend... I admit I did wrong" Mufasa said, still looking down and trying to sound obedient and tame "But the savannah still needs the king, and Simba is way too young to carry that duty."

Rafiki looked back, “I know, there will be a king, and it will not be simba … your brother , while not being heir, has proven to be more responsible than you in that manner.” He said scoldingly

The baboon stared at the two, looking at them, expecting them to show more remorse, and probably shock to this announcement

“That’s right, brother, me, ruler, I humbly take the position, when the true king is no longer worthy” scar said humbly but in a way it was obvious he was ecstatic

[Jinchu]

Mufasa couldn't keep his cool anymore. "But... He's not worthy! He only ratted me out because he wanted to become the king himself! that's not fair, I've only did one mistake and he was never a decent lion!!"


Zazu gasped nad even fle up a bit in shock as well. "You must be out of your mind finally, Rafiki! The king and I, we might do something not very appropriate, but giving the savannah to Scar is way worse! If your spirits told you that, the they are horrible advisors, trust my proffesional opinion!"

“Oh brother I am not worthy? I have never been caught breaking such important rules” he said snarling but with a sense of humor,

Rafiki didn’t take it as he yanked mufasa by his ear, “now, to the top of pride rock we March, and paddled in front of the pride you’ll be.” He said as he walked in his off way, but also gripping the kings ear.

“Simba! Take zazu ear, scar? Get my cane” he said as they all began their journeys

[Jinchu]

Mufasa wanted to protest to his brother, who obviously did a lot of unworthy things, but... teh sharp pain in his ear. And it was sensitive!


"Ouu-u!! Wait, Rafiki! Pride rock?! You d-don't mean to really humiliate me in front of... u-uum!!.. all terh lionesses?!" the king was shocked, but his protest ended up kind of whiney as the monkey pulled his ear pretty firmly.


Zazu uttered a shocked clucking as teh lion cub grabbed him and pulled as well. "Now, young master, that's.. u-uu.. n-no way to act towards your mento-ooou!!.." the bird tried to protes, but could only flap his wings helplessly.
