Freddie sat on the couch with his earphones in as he played on his PS Vita. The young boy was usually quiet, not being one to draw attention to himself especially now that his mother had gotten married. He couldn't say he didn't like his new stepdad, but he wasn't a great fan of his especially since he now had an older step brother who always seemed to be so annoying. He pushed his purple glasses up on his face and quietly drowned out the world around him.

Ann Marie looked over at her son and gave him a warm smile. She really wish he'd open up a bit more to the family, but Freddie had always been a quiet boy and nothing could change that. She walked over and gently ruffled his hair before heading to the kitchen to prepare some lunch for her family.

Thomas was not like most step dads you see in the movies and in reality. He loved his own child and his step son equally and was a nice man really. However, he knew it would be awhile before Freddie warmed up to him as well as his new step brother. He came home from work and entered the kitchen from the front door,"Afternoon dear." He said as he took off his coat and boots. Kissing her on the cheek,"Did Lucas give you any trouble?" He asked.

Lucas was around thirteen when his parents were split up and his dad remarried. He had his moms green eyes, but he had his fathers jet black hair and an attitude as well. The divorce and remarriage was rough on him and he was a moody teenager too so getting along with Freddie was tough for him. He came in the living room barefoot. Wearing worn out denim jeans and a black T-shirt he had worn yesterday sitting on the seperate couch before turning the tv on to an action movie.

Anne Marie looked over and smiled at Thomas. "Hello Darling. Everything has been a bit quiet today, nothing to report." She said as went off to make sandwiches for her family. "I really do wish the boys would get along better." It had seemed like anytime the boys talked to one another they were fighting or arguing and usually over something foolish.

Freddie looked up some when he saw Lucas walk in. Ugh, he could be so annoying sometimes. He sat up some, fixing his Fairy Tail T-shirt as he relaxed. He could hear the movie pass his earphones and frowned some. He paused his game and looked over. "Lucas, can you turn it down a little, I can't concentrate."

Thomas nodded,"Thats good." He said and nodded at the next words she said,"They will warm up to each other eventually. There just stressed from the changes that have been made." He assured his wife as he hung his coat up,"Can I help with anything?"

Lucas thought that Freddie was annoying as well. It was always one thing or another with him and now he was telling him to turn the tv down,"No way! Just go to the other room." He said as he left the tv volume up.

Freddie frowned some. "It's the living room, you don't own the living room Lucas." Freddie got up from his seat and quickly snatched the remote from his step brother and turned down the volume before heading back to his seat, the remote still close to his side as he put his earphones back in.

Anne Marie smiled softly. "You can go and get some drinks ready." She said as she heard the boys yell at one another. "Freddie, Lucas please don't start." She said as she began to finish the sandwiches.

"Neithier do you." Lucas said with a frown. Gasping when the remote was snatched and the volume was turned down,"Hey give that back!" He growled as he walked over and snatched the remote back.

Thomas sighed as he heard the boys start to yell,"Should I go handle it?" He asked her wondering if maybe he should step in or give them time to settle down.

"Stop being a jerk and I wouldn't have to take it!" He said angrily as the remote was snatched back and he moved to go and take it back.

"If you could please." She said as she set up the table for everyone. "Please be quick about it though.."

"Oh Im the jerk?" He asked with a huff as he held the remote out of reach,"I will show you whos a jerk!" He growled and wrestled him to the floor.

Thomas walked in quickly just in time to see the boys wrestling and kicking eachother in the floor of the living room,"BOYS! THAT IS ENOUGH!" He said sternly in a booming voice,"Turn the tv off and get washed up and if I catch you boys fighting again there will be trouble."

Freddie looked up from being pinned on the floor to where Thomas was yelling at them. He huffed and pushed Lucas off harshly as he grabbed his PS Vita to put it away and headed to the bathroom to wash up since he didn't want to hear Thomas yell at him anymore. Nor did he want Lucas to come and get him into trouble.

Lucas huffed as he was pushed off and switched the tv off and went to a seperate bathroom to wash up. He did not want Thomas to yell at him either.

Thomas sighed and went into the kitchen and took a seat,"They are washing up now." He said and ran a hand through his hair,"I wish they would get along, but all they do is fight like cats and dogs."
