Melee records

Well, since my brawl thread is such a success and since the game's coming out in less than a month (hopefully...) I was thinking why not take a moment to reflect upon the awesomeness that is Super Smash Bros Melee?

I'm assuming most people looking forward to Brawl have played at least of the other two smash games, so please, share with us! Tell us your proudest moments, your worst moments, your successes, your failures, and of course, your records! I'll post a few of mine later, but I'm on a time constraint right now, X3

Hmmm mine would have to have been the Samus, Fox, Falco bout free for all. It was myself(Falco, my cousin(Fox), and my friend(Samus). It was a stock match and Samus and we all had one life left. So, my cousin is going on this massive offensive against Samus while I was running for food. So Fox, gets a poke ball and summons a blastiose and it hammers Samus across the Great Fox(Corrinena version) and she lands on an arwing and fires off a charged shot from the hull before flying off to death on the arwing. Now I've resumed the fight against Fox and he sees the charged shot and Fire fox's over it and reflect the blast. He lands and reflects my reflect, and this goes for about 3-4 volleys until I break the shield to renew it, the reflector bounces it back and my cousin's reflector shield breaks and gets thrown several feet giving me time to finish him off.

Personally I had quite the amazing moment in a battle of brawl. It was me (Mario) my friend (Zelda) and another friend (young link). Now they were going at it with each other, and I found a bomb. I gladly threw it at them, and just to be funny paused the game at the moment of impact. Then we all saw the most amazing image in the worl. It was link grabbing Zelda's arm and kissing her cheek in mid air with an explosion in the backround. I kid you not, and we were never able to imitate this image ever again. It was one of the more cooler moments when we played brawl.

Damn, Xam, that's awesome. It's a real pity you weren't in Snapshot mode, XD

Well, a few of the classic pause, and have Pikachu being humped by Bowser by accident sort of things happened XD

Also had some proud moments, like being on 300% damage and spinning through all three of my opponents with only one life and taking them all out with Link's jumpings spinny sword thing XD

Ah, I'll miss that game.

My only record for the game is that in all the years I've played all the various smash brothers games... I've always been happy to play as Princess Peach ^_^

I gave up on Nintendo after the SNES, I got a second hand N64 for GoldenEye and Perfect Dark (Which I heart, btw) and don't own any other games for it, really.
Occassionally I play the games at other peoples houses.

I don't think I've ever played another character. It doesn't help that my friend John is elite at every computer game he's ever played (Does everyone have a friend like that, someone who can consistantly beat them at any game, every single time even when he's never played it before, with any character) and he likes Pikachu. I HATE PIKACHU. I can occasionally ring him out, but thats about all, he always wins.
But... thats my only record. I've only ever played Peach for my whole career.

Best moment ever? Getting second place in Biloxi after a few amazing rounds.

Best event of the night: me and the opponent starting the fight in an amusing way. I always start with a turnip and use it as an opener: toss and attempt a smash; however the opponent caught the turnip and threw it back. So I decided I would catch it myself and retry, and the process repeated for at least a minute. I somehow managed to scrape a win later on against a SCARY Falcon player.

Melee is awesome and will keep being that way even after Brawl comes out... heck, even the original smash bros was awesome. I have to tell my best friend to give it back since I lent it to him a while ago.

In the original my best character was Pikachu. I could end the 1 player mode in Very Hard without losing a single life!

In melee I swapped to Young Link. I kinda liked the 4-on-4 tournament we had and I won the final battle with Young Link aganist Link, Marth and Roy.

Mhhh... I should play some melee again while I wait for Brawl.
