A typical morning for most people would involve coffee, or tea, breakfast, and perhaps reading the paper. Most people, however, didn't live with Sherlock Holmes.

Said genius was standing at the kitchen table, currently covered in lab equipment, a cooling cup of tea at his elbow.

He frowned at the chemicals in his beaker. It was bubbling much more then it should be. He narrowed his eyes, and glanced over at his flatmate. He knew John wouldn't be pleased if another experiment went badly.

He glanced over at the doctor, a little alarmed to see him watching him. His eyes widened, and he forced a frown.
"Stop watching me!"

John was sipping his tea and reading the newspaper as he sat in his favorite chair. He glanced over to Sherlock to see the tea he made hadn't even been touched. Typical.

The man got up and walked over, somewhat curious as to what the man was up to. He leaned against the doorframe, sipping his tea. "Sorry..just curious..uh, what are you doing exactly?" He eyed the bubbling mixture.

Sherlock frowned at him and turned back to the experiment.
"It's a compound," he said.

He glanced over to explain further when the bubbling mixture suddenly exploding, dousing the detective liberally and coating the room and John as well.

"A compound?" John sipped his tea. "And what it's going to-" He was suddenly cut off by the explosion. The doctor flew back onto the ground, covered in the stuff. He groaned, his whole body aching as the world went dark around him.

Sherlock woke a few hours later, his head aching. He groaned and sat up, cradling his head. He frowned. His hands seemed small.

He looked down at them and felt his eyes widen. They were no longer the long, delicate fingers he played violin with. They were long, but not as long. He winced and looked down. He was so small, and he could tell his motor skills were lacking.
He gasped, and jolted around.
"John!" He exclaimed, worry filling his much less deep voice.

"Hmm?" John moaned and sat up, grabbing at his head. "Oohh.." He blinked blearily, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion at what he saw. "Sherlock?" He then gasped, grabbing his throat at how high pitched he was. "My voice! Your voice! Y-Your body!"

Sherlock winced seeing his friend. For once, John was taller. Was he older then? He hadn't been as close to the explosion as Sherlock. He frowned at the thought that they could really be children.

"John, are you alright?" He asked. Trying to force himself to remain calm.

John slowly looked down at his own body, shakily looking over his hands. "I..I..." His face was pale and he swallowed. "Not possible.."
