Rhei... WITH RABBITS?!?! (for Sardonyx)

If it was like magic, the tournament was finally over; the great battle between all strong characters from different worlds has come to an end. And who else wanted to see the results, but Rhei, whose curiosity would normally get the better of him. The teen unfortunately wasn't the victor of the finale, but one thing was sure that he was part of the high tiers along with Amaya, as confirmed by Master Hand himself. He desired to know the victor of the tournament and other Smashers that were higher than him.

With a big huff, the boy marched down the corridors. He couldn't find any of those who were obviously part of the high tiers due to their strength; Bayonetta was out slaying angels: Cloud returned to the Radiant Garden to assist: Diddy Kong went on a brand new adventure with his uncle: Fox, like the monkey, was out on his adventure. No-one who were part of the high tiers were there.

But then he decided to ask one Smasher and that one was Sonic. After hearing word he was back in Möbius, he decided that enough was enough and he would go there himself! He heard that the place was full of talking animals, and yet acknlowddging that it's a furry's dream, so he wouldn't be too crept out. He's seen his own share of weirdness before.

So, the teen went to the portal that directed them to their homes and entered it, where he seen himself in a rather calm forest.

Said calm forest was complimented with the light humming of a little girl who was walking through in search for flowers with a basket in hand. This was no ordinary little girl however, she was a bunny girl clad in an orange dress. By her side, was a floating blue creature with wings and a bowtie.

Rhei's entry into the world did make a noise that startled the nature surrounding the bunny, and it caused her to become startled. She shivered a bit. "W-What's going on...w-what was that noise...?"

"Chaooooo....!" her floating companion whined, also startled, but he was the first to spot a shining bright light deep within the forest. The light that must have coincided with the disturbance. He flinched and hid behind the bunny girl, who became worried at the sight. "W-What is it Cheese...? Don't be scared..." she reassured calmly, until she suddenly noticed the bright light as it was fading.

The bunny girl, Cream, felt herself being pulled along by pure curiosity as she couldn't help but approach. "(B-but what if it's dangerous...? M-Mommy wouldn't approve...b-but...)" her mental thoughts didn't stop her movement as she really wanted to see. Just a tiny peek through the bushes wouldn't hurt.

"Chaoooo..." Cheese gave another whine, as if going against Cream's idea, and it made the girl look up at him. "I know you're scared...I-I'm a little scared too but...what if it's something important...?" she wondered. After all, this isn't something that happens every day.

The girl set her basket down and approached slowly and quietly towards the bushes and crept inside as the light faded, soon peeking out of the other end.

Rhei wasn't that bothered by a simple forest. He's been inside of forests before and whatever weirdness is thrown at him, he would try and tolerate it. He's seen weirdness before; in his old home, he's seen a walking old duck wander about, a wizard who has his own hut, and also those big-nosed and those ungodly-adorable doll-like creatures called Moogles, plus there were the Heartless. They came in all shapes and sizes, so he would be prepared to see any walking talking animal that would say 'hey' to you like it's a normal avermsge everyday occurrence.

His location in the forest was a clearing, with a really empty space around him. Nothing living aside from flowers or the basic butterflies were around him, aside from one living thing; himself.

Now, Rhei had to think. If he was Sonic, where would he be? If he thought back to that stage, he would see himself in that small area with a round ditch to run through, and those lights that attack others when you punch them. Not only that, but also the very loopy-loop on the background where he remembered seeing some of Sonic's friends run around it every once in a while.

He seen that he was in the wrong location, so he gave a groan. Throwing his blade in the air, he watched it spin and transform into a glider. Preparing to jump upon it, a noise came from behind him, and he squeaked before falling onto his back.

"Wh-whose there?" he asked, rolling onto his front and looking at the bushes... seeing a rather adorable face poking out of it. "An animal...?"

Cream watched Rhei's movement quietly as questions buzzed around in her head.

Who was he? Where did he come from? Why was he here?

She tried her best not to squeak in small surprise from seeing the boy emerge, and she certainly did her best to make sure Cheese remained quiet as well as she eyes the human.

But then the bunny girl witness Rhei summon his keyblade, her eyes drifted upward as she saw him throw it up into the air and spin as it transformed into a glider of some sort. "....!" she shifted a bit in surprise, and even with her small form it caused the bush to rustle. She grew increasingly more nervous when she saw Rhei fall flat on his back when he attempted to board his new ride in surprise. Cream hoped that he wasn't hurt from the fall...after all, he didn't seem to be like an enemy, or someone she should fear.

Of course, her brief worry was long enough for her reaction time to worsen as Rhei rolled onto his stomach, and the two kids locked eyes for mere moments.

"Eeep!" Cream squeaked and immediately sunk back into the bushes once she was seen. The bushes rustled a little more as she pushed herself and Cheese back out through the other side from where the came from.

This was certainly an animal as he managed to catch a glimpse of her black nose and only a millisecond of those ears. What animal was it? He knew for certain that it was some kind of mammal, but what kind was it? It made him want to investigate, despite that she's probably afraid of him.

But, he wouldn't be able to see her if he approached, as she might scurry once seeing him. Thinking, he looked back and saw his glider, before he summoned it and began to climb on it. As he ascended into the air just near the branches, he would be able to catch a better view of the mammal who was spying on him.

Then, as he leaned forward, he was able to see... a rabbit and some... oversized amoeba? While he was adjusted to seeing a rabbit walk and talk, as one ruler of a world was a mouse, he was more curious than the other animal... or whatever it was.

"Meeeeeh, what's up DOLL?"

Cream managed to push herself out of the bushes and landed on her rear end with a small yip.

Cheese floated down to her side with a worrysome look. "Chaooooo..." he whined as the bunny girl rubbed her posterior while she stood up. " Wow...w-well...he doesn't look like a bad guy...but what was that bright light...?" she wondered, getting a look of confusion from her Chao companion.

Cream was still cautious, even when she went to go and retrieve her basket, her eyes drifted to all sides, but she didn't see a sign of the human boy. Perhaps he didn't see her. Returning home would be the safest option at this point.

As she leaned to pick up her basket, her ears picked up the sounds of branches and shot straight up with a scared gasp. "W-What was that...?"

"Meeeeeh, what's up DOLL?"

"Chao, chao!" Cheese, suddenly cried, pointing up at where he also detected the disturbance.

Cream saw where Cheese was looking and directed her vision towards it as well, only to discover the stranger again, this time on his glider. "O-Oh no..!"

Cheese gave a whine and hid behind Cream at the sign of 'danger', while the bunny girl herself gave a small gulp. She hid her current fear behind a shallow wall of bravery as to keep Cheese from getting even more frightened as she took a hesitant step backward. "W-Who are you...s-stranger?"

Oh, an easily-nervous one right here. One who probably wasn't used to seeing human beings in Möbius. Rhei wasn't one to be scared of, especially when he's supposed to be the hero around here, but the bunny probably wouldn't have been that familiar with humans. But that was no excuse to stop him from laughing.

"I'm not a hunter, bunny babe, so no need to fret." The teen then descended softly onto the ground, while making sure he wouldn't fall out. Landing on his feet softly, he approached the rabbit.

"Name's Rhei. I'm from the Radiant Garden. You may know a friend of mine. Sonic, remember? The hedgehog painted blue and moves fast for his species?"

He was curious to know about her other friend. "First of all my second question. What the hell is that thing floating by your head? Is that some sorta genetic super insect or something?"

Cream's fright became less visible as Rhei began to laugh. It was almost as if he was stunned by how she was so nervous. Well, in her mind she had every right to be. Some strange visitor from who knows where just appears and she's not supposed to be cautious towards him?

When the boy began to descend, her eyes stayed locked on him, but she still took a step back in order to maintain some distance as he spoke.

"Y-you're a friend of Mr. Sonic...?" Cream asked carefully once Rhei mentioned who he was. She immediately felt herself ease upon hearing that, even though there was no real evidence to prove Rhei's words.

She was a little stunned at how quick he was to ask her questions and his loose use of the word 'hell'. Upon mentioning Cheese, the little Chao shielded himself from view behind Cream, while bunny looked, visibly flustered. "Cheese is not just some 'thing'...!" but she quickly calmed herself. She had to remember that Rhei was a stranger and probably wouldn't recognize a Chao upon seeing one.

"S-Sorry...Cheese isn't an insect, he's a Chao..." Cream spoke softly.

"Yeah, I am. Though I don't really include the formality." he chuckled afterwards. "You must be a friend of him, so I guess I might get to the point." he said before taking a few steps forward. Crossing his arms over his chest, he looked at the bunny girl to make sure she wouldn't just freak out.

"I'm looking for him. Y'see, we both fight in a tournament called Super Smash Brothers! It's where we fight to see whose stronger than who, do challenges to boost up our strength, gain coins, have a ball with it."

He then glanced at the Chao once again; it was like a generic adorable creature whose not an animal but had their own name and speak with little high-pitched noises. While he never heard of a Chao before, it didn't stop him from marvelling how cute it was. The teen then summoned his Keyblade and plunged the tip into the ground before leaning against the hilt like it was some sort of staff.

"Sooooo seen him anywhere?"

Cream was still cautious, but other than that she had definitely calmed. It seems as though Rhei was genuine in his friendship with Sonic, at least to her. It was also good that she relaxed, for Cheese followed her lead and began to relax as well, albeit didn't come out from behind his companion.

"Mr. Sonic was supposed to come back soon...I haven't seen him yet though..." Cream said with a soft sigh as she was hoping for the blue blue to come by and say hello when he did return. She then rubbed her chin in thought. "....Amy has been keeping a watch for him to come back...maybe she would know..." she thought to herself.
