In a calm city of the Kanto region, lives a big family whose some members were once cursed to transform into animals upon being hugged by someone of the opposite sex. Such a Curse had lasted for generations over the centuries and ruined the lives of many people.
However, it was now over, largely thanks to a young girl who helped the members of the Jûnishi to accept themselves.

Now totally adopted by the Sohma family, and having become Kyo's girlfriend, Tohru was looking forward to the future with enthusiasm.
Presently, she was enjoying a summer break on one of the family's properties in the coast; it was in a huge mansion with a private beach and several servants, fitting a rich family like that.
Tohru wasn't alone, of course; Kyo was with her, along with Yuki and Momiji. Yuki had even invited Machi, the secretary of the student council he had met some time ago.
Haru and Rin were here too, as well as Hiro and Kisa. Hatori and Kana were also here to watch over this small teen crowd.

With the beach and the sea, this group had plenty of activities to do: swimming, of course, but also walk trips, fishing, stargazing at night and many games inside. No one felt bored, everyone was happy; on the other hand, when things went overboard, sometimes, Hatori and Kana had no choice but to do some disciplining, and that resulted in some teen bottoms getting red.

Things had definitely improved since the Sohma curse had been broken. There was peace between a majority of them, fights only leading to yelling. There wasn’t as much violence—and what was, held a more playful tone. The leader no longer held the same level of disdain for the group, perhaps due to the relationship she now held with the rest of the family. She seemed to care more.

It’d actually been her decision to allow the group to go to the mansion, a private beach having been bought specifically for the Sohma family. Hell, even Tohru who was now part of the family had been invited to join.

Kyo was overjoyed to have his girlfriend join them, even if he didn’t exactly know how to show it. He leaned back on the beach, sitting under the large umbrella shielding him and his girl from the sun. After a moment of silence, he nudged her with a grin “Hey. Wanna go for a swim?” He questioned, pointing toward where the children were all playing in the water.

Hiro was currently splashing Kisa, wanting her attention. He’d relaxed considerably since their arrival, though that didn’t mean he couldn’t get a bit rowdy. The pair of grown ups watched the children, making sure they all behaved.

Most members would still have a hard time being near Akito, for their traumas wouldn't get erased just like that. Much time would be necessary for them to make up.

But for now, they wanted to distract themselves; Tohru felt wonderfully good on the beach - but she protected herself from the sun.
When Kyo asked her if she'd like to go swimming, she smiled and looked at him: "That's a surprise! Not so long ago, you still hated the water" she pointed out, amused.
Sitting down, she leaned forward and gently kissed his cheek: "I'd love to, the sea looks warm and welcoming."

Kisa giggled and protected herself: "Come on, Hiro-chan, don't splash me in the face like that!" she said, amused.
Noticing Kyo and Tohru, she waved her arm: "Come on, let's swim together!" she asked.

Kyo couldn’t help but grin at the response he was given. Once the curse had lifted, Kyo vowed to at least try out the things that he once hated. Water wasn’t exactly exciting for any cat—so he hated it then. Now? Well, he would find out the moment he set foot into the salty water. The kiss only proved to widen his smirk, taking her hand as he pressed a loving kiss to her neck.

Hearing Kisa call out, Kyo stood from his spots, tugging Tohru up with him. An arm instinctively wrapped around he waist, mumbling for her to lead the way.

Hiro smiled at Kisa, watching as she called out to the pair. He continued to flick water at her as she spoke, but looked up at the pair approaching.

Tohru sighed in pleasure as she felt Kyo's warm lips on her neck; slightly blushing, she got up with his help and waved at the two kids in the water.
A moment later, she felt Kyo's hand wrapping around her waist and she blushed more; even though they had been together for some time already, and spent a lot of quality time together, she still felt aroused every time he made tender gestures with her. Actually, such an excitement was only getting stronger as the months were passing on.

She put a hand on his back and gently pushed him: "Let's just join them, okay?" she smiled, walking with him towards the sea.

Seeing them approaching, Kisa smiled and kept looking at them, until she felt some drops of water hitting the corner of her eye: "Hiro-chan, I told you to stop this!" she exclaimed, rather annoyed this time. She rubbed her eye and went to take Tohru's hand.

The man walked beside his lover, taking a look at the water. It looked—well, inviting wasn’t the word he would use. He preferred to stay on land, but he also wanted to do whatever made Tohru happy. Even if that meant he didn’t like it quite as much. The girl had accepted him—monster and all. The least he could do was try to get along.

A glare was thrown in Hiro’s direction, wanting the boy to just stop so Kisa wouldn’t get upset. Hiro let his hand drop, moving away from the couple. He liked being around Kisa, though getting used to the pair would take a little longer.

Instead, the small boy began to swim deeper into the ocean, keeping his eyes on the others.

When Kisa walked to her, Tohru took her hand with pleasure and started walking faster: "Kyo-kun, hurry and come!" she joyfully exclaimed as her feet entered the water.
The weather was warm and sunny, so the sea felt warm too - but still refreshing. In no time, Tohru had water up to her waist; she looked at her beloved boyfriend, who was entering more slowly: "Nothing to fear, come!" she giggled.

Kisa, who had remained by Tohru's side, looked around to search for Hiro; she hadn't spoken very nicely to him, a couple of minutes ago, and she wanted to mend things. She soon noticed him: "Hiro-chan! Please come back with us, don't go away all alone!" she called.

Kyo, on the other hand, was not as thrilled as he thought he’d be. His feet barely touched the water, feeling the chill moving over his skin. It would take some time, but he was slowly getting accustomed to it all. Without much of a rush, he walked toward the girls, remaining close before petting Kisa’s head gently.

Hiro preferred to keep his distance, but watched the three of them. After the other’s words, he didn’t really want to upset the young girl any further. Turning, he began to swim away from them, trying to act as if he was ignoring them.

Tohru noticed that Kyo had a rather hard time entering the water; she decided to come back and help him. Soon, she took his hand and gently pulled him further: "A simple way to do it, is to just walk forward without paying attention to the cold. Otherwise it can become quite a challenge" she said, giggling.

Kisa looked at them and patiently waited, water coming up to her shoulders. Soon, though, she turned around to see if Hiro was coming back: on the contrary, he was swimming further away from them, and away from the shore!
"Hiro-chan, please come back! It's dangerous to go far like this!" she called, growing worried.

At the other end of the beach, Hatsuharu was coming back from a walking trip with Rin and Momiji; all were planning to take a dip into the sea, now.

Kyo held the woman’s hand as he was led deeper into the water. He tried his best to stay calm as the water increasingly moved up his body, taking a deep breath. Eventually, however, they came to a stop. Fingers glided over the water, eyes shifting to look at the boy wading further into the water. He held Tohru’s hand tight, tilting his head toward Hiro. “Hiro, get back here! You’re worrying Kisa!”

Hiro ignored the pair, moving far enough away from shore. He could swim. He’d be perfectly fine wandering in the water. Besides, once far enough, he’d move back to shore. Besides, his relatives would more than likely be joining soon.

Rin walked with Hatsuharu, keeping a gentle grip on his hand. She nudged him, pointing toward the others as a silent indication that they should join them.
