Sam tapped his foot waiting for the last train of the day to arrive at the BRC Islands under water train station, the 27 year old man was well built, with strong arms and a firm chest. wearing a loose Polo Shirt and jeans with leather boots Sam was waiting for his new Mentee. A young boy who'd gotten himself in trouble.

It would be Sam's job to act like the boy's Big brother, Helping the young boy get back on the right side of the law. and get his schooling done.

Kaine didn't really understand what was happening, since he was a seven year old child. He knew that he had stolen some things and some adults had found that naughty, but other than that he didn't understand this punishment. His punishment was to go to school? He didn't like school but he didn't see it as a punishment.

The little boy stepped off of the train when it reached the station and he looked around with wide, blue eyes until he caught sight of a very tall man waiting for him. Honestly Sam was only just above his knee height. "What's your name?" the boy asked, heading over with his little teddy bear shaped backpack.

"I'm Sam. You must be Kaine." Sam said with a nod, he looked similar to the picture they'd sent him. "How was the ride?" he asked. most kids found the idea of an under water train both amazing and sometimes scary.

Kaine had been a little bit scared at first, but when he saw all the different coloured fish, he'd found it interesting. "It was good, I saw a yellow fish, and a blue fish---and I saw a really, really big shark." he added and walked a bit closer to the man. Being a small child meant he found instant comfort with a friendly adult, and Sam seemed somewhat friendly.

"Am I going to be living with you?" he asked, glancing up at him. Kaine was small for his age, and looked more like a five year old than a seven year old.

"yep. we're going to be living together. You can think of me like a big brother." Sam said "Come on. this way." he added leading him to the elevator. Normally he'd walk him around the island, show him the sights and such, but it was late today, and most Seven year olds on the island were in bed by 8:30. the official Recommended 'bed time'

Kaine rubbed his eyes tiredly and then looked up at Sam when he said that he could think of him like a big brother, "You're much, much too big to be a big brother." he answered with a shake of his head and he slipped his little hand into the man's larger one. Normally the child wouldn't be so compliant, but he was sleepy and the train ride had given him something of a tummy ache.

"Sam? Can I call you Sammy?" he asked randomly as they left the station, "Do you have a dog? I like dogs, they're cool and I've always wanted one."

"I guess you can if you want." Sam said in reference to his question. "No, but maybe we can get one if you behave well." Sam said leading the boy away from the station and to the apartments.

"I want to get a really big one, like a husky or something." Kaine explained and followed after Sam to a line of apartments and after walking a little more, the boy stopped and just sat himself down on the ground, getting tearful because his tummy hurt, he was tired and now his feet hurt. He refused to walk another step.

"Sammy my feet hurt---" he whined.

"I can carry you if you want kiddo." Sam said with a smile.

Kaine didn't say anything in response to that he just raised his arms up to be carried and continued to whimper because the little guy was quite sleepy and he only had little legs.
