Underpain(ForCrookedOnceMore)
Looking at the familiar door in front of them, Frisk was hesitant to knock on the door, looking down and then saying quietly,"Y-Y'know it's been awhile since you've been here huh?" Glancing at Chara, Frisk smiled nervously before rereading the note that had been sent to them. Within the letter had been a VERY stern message that ended with Toriel commanding Frisk and Chara to return to the house immediately.
Sighing, Frisk stuffed the note away and then knocked on the door.

Chara had their arms crossed, glaring down at the ground. Frisk was right - it had been ages since the fallen child had seen her adoptive monster mother's home, but she wasn't eager to return to it. Toriel was very stern when she was angry, something Chara had learned all too well from her many years of mischief with Asriel. She'll never forget that hour long lecture she got for accidentally putting poisonous buttercups in Asgore's tea.
Chara grunted in response to Frisk's jest. "It's not exactly a happy reunion."

"B-But it is a reunion none the less! I'm sure Toriel will be overjoyed to see you!...after she forgives us anyway..." Frisk nervously fidgeted in place, uncomfortable with the idea that she had made Toriel upset.
"...Why did you come Chara? Not that I'm upset, I'm actually very happy that you came back with me but you know we're getting in trouble and yet you willingly came.." Frisk's dark eyes looked back towards the other.

"Why do you care?" Chara coldly responded, "Because I'd rather suffer you and Mom then die again from pneumonia. Is that a good enough reason?"
Despite the "fearless" demeanor the original fallen child had been putting on since her resurrection, she shivered from more than just the cold winds of Snowdin.
"So what if it's the first time Mom's been mad with you since you got back? We've seen her mad before. She'll let us off with a warning or whatever and then make more pie." She thought to herself "Get a hold of yourself, Chara..."

Cringing at the other girl's words, Frisk nodded, mumbling,"Yea, I suppose that makes sense..." Raising a fist to knock again, the door suddenly opened, revealing a large banner of purple that turned out to be Toriel herself, dressed in her usual garb.
"Children, you made it! Please come in." Stepping off to the side to allow the pair to walk in, the goat mother seemed to have a expression of calmness, mingled with brief joy at seeing the two, though once they were inside, her voice was a firmer as she asked,"So would you two like to explain to me what you did?"

It had been a little over a fortnight since Chara had been brought back via Frisk's determination, but seeing Toriel still made her somewhat uneasy. The Ruins were obviously not the same as she had left them, but her Mom had literally not aged a day. Spending time around her only reminded her of the old days, before any other humans fell.
Regardless, she didn't let this deter her as Toriel opened up the door, not smiling back to her mother but still nodding in acknowledgement of her presence. Her worries for their well-being knew no bounds, but it wasn't long before it was time to face the music for disobeying her.
"Hey, Mom..." was all the child spoke as she stepped inside, letting Frisk give her account of what happened first.

"So I...well...Me and Chara..I mean Chara and I were talking and I had mentioned how if other humans came they'd need protection and Chara suggested we make...weapons...out of rocks and sticks and stuff and arm some of the monsters!" Looking away, Frisk ran a hand through her brown bangs as she continued.
"B-But then some of them started fighting over who's weapon was better and then one through a rock, and then another rock was thrown and then..." She trailed off, wrapping her arms around herself.

Chara kept her eyes on the floor as Frisk explained the story. "She's making it sound much worse than it was..." She thought to herself.
"The royal guard's a bunch of incompetent idiots!" Chara cut in as her accomplice started stammering, stepping forward. "If people are going to be safe, they need something to defend themselves with, so Frisk and I helped out... and everything was going well until Jerry started making fun of Loox! It's his fault, not ours!"
The child flailed her arms around as she spoke to add emphasis to the story.

Toriel listened silently to both girls before finally she spoke up, interrupting Chara's speech. "I think that is quite enough my children. While I understand now that you were both just trying to...help, you also must consider the ramifications of your actions. Now some of the villagers will want to make MORE weapons and what do you think will happen when they start to argue? And pick sides? And actually FIGHT one another?"
She shook her head in disapproval and then raised a hand up."If you REALLY wanted to protect them, why not build sturdier walls to actually DEFEND them? If you had time to make...what was it they said..." Toriel began to count off her fingers. "Spears. Wooden swords. Slingshots. Tomahwaks."
"That one was Chara's idea!",Frisk blurted out, but quickly was silenced by a look from the goat monster.

"Hey, shut up!" Chara quickly struck back but was also calmed by Toriel's glare. "Uh... well, we didn't have the materials to build walls! A-And offense is better than defense anyway!"
Chara pouted and crossed her arms again. She knew her outlook on fighting or fleeing was very different from her mother's, and also Frisk's as well - the only reason her friend joined her in making the weapons was because basically bribed her into doing it - but she tried to defend herself nonetheless.
