Piano Lessons (f/x, open to all--please join!)
Tina Blake, a pretty little 16-year-old with short red hair and bright green eyes, sat in the music room of the local community college. She was organizing a stack of well-loved old piano music sheets. Ever since her mother had suggested she get a part-time job, she had decided to offer the city's schoolchildren the chance to learn to play the piano.
However, a lot of the children (and some teenagers) were only going because their parents made them--and even the students who had taken to playing quite well, were now shirking practice in favor of other pursuits. The simple fact was that they were slacking off and not trying very hard at all, and it made teaching them well nigh impossible. But Tina would change all that, starting today...they just didn't know it yet!!

There was a knock on the door and Danny, a 10 year old boy entered. "miss Blake? I fear it is time for my piano lesson, at least that's what mommy seem to think." He said, clearly not wanting to have a piano lesson.

"Come on over then..." Tina found the sheet she was looking for (Old McDonald...how easy is that?? she thought) and took her seat on the bench, getting out her notebook and a pencil. "I believe this is what we were working on last time you were here, hon??"

"Maybe you should practice more...? Well, go on then--play it..." Tina was already dreading the results and scribbled something in the notebook. "...And be sure to hold the half notes, you were having trouble with that last week."

"Only because they are boring." Bobby said, not even trying to play the song right.

"It most certainly is not boring," grumbled the older girl as she closed the book and sat up a little bit straighter on the bench. She cringed at the sour notes the boy was playing. "You didn't practice at all, did you...?"

Jamie Gordon was a beautiful 16-year-old girl with long brown hair, and she was a classmate of Tina's. She hated the idea of taking piano lessons from a girl her own age, but her mom had thought the lesson's would keep her out of trouble, so she signed her up. Jamie was early for her lesson because her ride had had to drop her off early. She sat in a chair outside the music room and listened to the badly off key playing from inside. Whoever was in there hadn't been practising. Well, niether had sh.

Jamie heard the music stop and the sound of voices inside. Since it wasn't time for her lesson yet, she just sat back and read her book.
