Default Question! Feedback / Improvements for this section?

Currently looking for feedback on this forum section, how it could be tightened up or improved, things that could make it better.

Obviously, in this format it's still going to be a forum so I'm looking for feedback or suggestions about organising it. Feel free to be off the wall but also expect we may have to lower your expectations.

- Would there be a benefit to separating releases and game-creation discussion threads into different forum sections rather than keeping them all in here?
--- Would a tutorials section be useful?

- Is there anything obvious that we've missed which would be instantly useful here?

- Does anyone use the Video Games quick-link at the top of the page (or even know that it's there)?

- Do you use the screenshot gallery in the collections folder to upload screenshots of the game as part of advertising (and are you aware that you can do that)?
--- https://animeotk.com/gallery/showgallery.php/cat/1065

Please let me know your thoughts about this section and hopefully we can make some improvements and tweaks now that it's been running for a while.

I would not know how to get here without it.

yeah!

I think it would be convenient to separate the released games from the discussion themes.

Tutorials section is not need it, because it probably does not gain enough content for a whole section

Same. It's how I discovered this section.

As for the rest, I'm fine with things as they are. I'm afraid splitting the games up into separate subfolders might actually cause less interaction among the various developers and the general audience.
This place is neither dead nor super busy - it's not like there is a proliferation of new posts. One can pretty much monitor the progress of every game being worked on fairly easily as there are only a few threads.
If anticipating future growth it might make sense to try 'better' organization. But I love the self-organized tip sharing threads and such and would not want anything to interfere with the creation of such.

Same here.

How about putting different status tags in front of the game titles, to show users the current status of the game? For example:

[Ongoing] Brat of the Wild EP II
[Completed] Brat of the Wild EP I
Or [Abandonend] or [On hold] or [Paused]

That way the users know what's going on (which hopefully also reduces the annoying questions for updates) without adding more subfolders.

Edit: Maybe we could make a subfolder for everything, that's not a game? Like tutorials and questions and stuff like that. I think that would make the game section much more overseeable.

Along with a what some others said, I don't really think that the section is active enough to benefit from any further organization. I feel that as long as the topics are related somewhat to the games made here, be it tutorials, ideas, resources, discussion, etc. they fit in fine as they are. It would be nice to get a more definite label to show the status of some games, as the only options right now are to lock the thread or keep it open and at risk to necroposting. My spanquest thread still has the title "New Game" and it's been finished for at least a year now, I'd change it if I knew how.

Another vote for "seems fine as is". A post or two every couple of days, a flurry of posts when a new game or update comes out, that seems about right to me. Dividing it up into sections seems unnecessary; I like having it be one-stop shopping for games, tutorials, discussions, etc.

As is with that ability to add the tagging of In Progress, Finished, On Hiatus etc if lack of activity.... Say, once every six months, if no new posts move it to On Hiatus unless its stated finished?

Though this will most likely be ignored like SHOUTBOX NOT SEARCHBOX.....

I do now....

The only other thing I can think of is that it might help to have some kind of sticky with guidance for thread titling. I put "in progress" in the title of my 1st thread following the
example of some of the others, but given that you can't edit them later that doesn't really make sense as an approach.
