The tiger and her "cub" with Unseelieraven
-...i'll kick his ass so hard he will spin for a week.- the woman muttered to herself, while mopping the floor of the main room of her Club, like she had been doing during the last half an hour -He was supposed to be here two hours ago, damn kid...- she went on, talking to herself like she used to do when she was upset and checking the watch on her wrist.
It was monday and, like every week, the Black Ribbon would stay closed to the public, since it was the day of the Pack's reunion; they would come over, eat something together and talk about their week, discussing problems with her, if needed.
Robin was alone and she had already cleaned up almost the whole place, something that she had planned to do with Tristen, since she was expecting him much earlier that afternoon...but clearly the boy was late.
So the Alpha was now in a bad mood, annoyed by his delay but also starting to worry about him: she had sent him to deliver one messagge to the vampires' leader of the nearby city and, even if the young man had texted her telling that everything was fine, now she was starting to have doubts.
What if something had happened to him?
Vamps were not trustworthy, often...she knew that all too well.
A minute later, letting out a sigh and leaving the mop against the wall, the blue haired woman went back to her office, in the back of the club, and she grabbed her phone from the desk, dialing Tristen number and praying that he would answer, for his own sake...

Tristen had been nervous when he was sent to play herald at a nearby vampire domain; as the pack’s youngest he had never been away for long and he’d certainly never done anything this important. The first few days had been nerve-wrecking for him and he’d texted pack members for advice near constantly – although he’d refused to let Robin know how freaked out he was. But after the first week, he’d started to calm down; more than that, he’d really started to like being ‘Mr. Chambers, Alpha Robin’s envoy’.
So much so that he’d had a hard time leaving the farewell party the royal clan had thrown him. He hadn’t stayed too late, not really, but he’d stayed late enough to run into some horrible traffic coming out of Seattle. He sighed and let his head drop against the head rest as the traffic slowed to a crawl once again. He had been about to switch the radio to an audio book so he’d at least be entertained when his phone rang.
Glancing at the display he cursed and quickly answered, “Hey, Robin!”
Crap, he’d forgotten to tell her about the delay.

The moment she heard his voice, at least she managed to shut up the worried voice inside her head, that was whispering to her that he could be hurt or dead somewhere.
He was alive and well, apparently. Just very, very late.
-Where are you, cub?!- she asked him, with a quite annoyed voice tone -You were supposed to be home a few hours ago, i was worried about you.- she then scolded him, before letting out a sigh -The meeting will start soon and you must be here by then, do you hear me?- Robin added, now walking back to the main room -I had to clean up the whole place on my own. I was counting on you to help me, but of course you were too busy to warn me about the delay, uhm?-
At this point it was clear enough that she was not in a good mood and than he could easily find himself in troubles, once at home.

“Sorry, sorry! I’ve been stuck in traffic and forgot about the time. Trust me, I’d rather be there cleaning instead of being trapped behind a SUV with way too many bumper stickers on it. Not even any good ones…” Tristen sighed, “I’ll try and get there before the meeting, but this traffic just isn’t moving.”
He rather hoped his alpha would accept that his lateness was out of his control; he had plans for his homecoming that could be ruined if she decided to be prissy about this. “I would have called you, but I forget time zone change and thought I had another hour and then the Prince wanted to talk to me one last time and…sorry; it’s been hectic. But, hey! I have gifts.” Maybe that would help?

-But i told you to call me when you were leaving from the Prince's court, am i wrong? Why didn't do that?- she went on, listening to the boy trying to excuse himself -So, you're telling me that is the Prince's fault if you're late?- the older shifter asked, not very convinced -Anyway, once you'll arrive come straight here at the club, we'll go home together after the meeting. Got it?- was the last order -...so you had time for souvenirs but not for a text. Tsk.-
And then, said that, Robin simply interrupted the call and she let the phone slide inside the back pocket of her jeans, returning to the mop and grabbing it again.
She had to finish the job and then the other will start to arrive...
------------------------------------
Later that evening, once the pack's reunion was all done and that everyone was already gone, Robin was sitting on one of the leather couches of the Club, drinking a beer and brooding about the fact that the kid had missed the reunion.
Clearly he was still REALLY far from home, when they had spoke.
A cold pizza, the one that she had ordered for him when they all had had dinner together before, was waiting for him on the counter, at the bar.

Tristen stared at his phone and sighed, “But I got the gifts last week….”
Shaking his head, he tossed his phone on the other seat and turned on the audio book; there was no point worrying about things now.
The young shifter broke all kinds of driving laws in his attempt to make it the Black Ribbon before the meeting started and managed to only be twenty minutes late. Running a hand through his brown hair, Tristen gathered up his gifts and wandered into the club; feeling a little self-conscious as he was still wearing the suit the Prince’s youngest childe had helped him pick out for the farewell party. It was a nice suit, and made him look more grown-up, but it was a lot nicer than he was used to dressing.
