The world was once alive and prosperous. Very few wanted for anything. Life had been good, huge cities dotted the landscape. Technology made everyone's life easier. That is until the cataclysm struck. Most technology was destroyed and giant rifts appeared spewing monsters forth onto the world. Wild magic stored long underground wreaked havoc on the lives of humans. The population was decimated. To this day no one is even sure what caused it. Even after a couple hundred years life was still hard for most. A few humans, naturally attuned to magic began to use it. Eventually others found they could as well. Not many could and this bred distrust in those who could not. With out the protection of other more powerful magic users admitting or showing one could use magic was never a good idea. Everything now was simpler but harder. The average person was almost reliant on those brave enough to try and stem the tide of monsters and fellow humans taking advantage of people.

Elisa Moon Blackheart stood with her back to the wall of the alley watching people go by. Normally she wouldn't be so pressed to find some money but the past couple of days there didn't seem like there was much to steal. She had been in this city for about a week and she was already considering moving on. She only had a few coppers left, only enough for some cheap food or shelter for the night, not both. She had long dark red hair she kept in a ponytail and green eyes. Her clothes were a cheap leather jerkin and breeches that had obviously been worn for a long time. She was only 12, but had been on her own since she was 7. She had gotten pretty good at keeping herself alive.

When she was 10 she realized she had a talent for magic and though she was never formally trained she was smart enough to figure out a few useful spells. She was also quite good with a dagger, but she never really like to have to resort to that. Right now she was scanning the crowd looking for anyone that looked like they may have money or something valuable. Someone caught her eye. That, she thought, just might be my mark. She stopped leaning on the wall and started toward the woman...

The Woman was in her 30s and she looked the girl right in the eye as she walked towards her, Something telling her that she looked a bit shiffty looking as she gets closer to her, She had no where to put her purse so holding it in her hand, but as she got Closer Carol looked at the girl as now she got even closer,

Elisa could see the woman looking at her, this was going to take a bit more than just the normal bump and grab. She nodded as she passed, her emerald green eyes flecked with gold. She turned a corner and stopped rubbing her chin as she thought. It was risky but she muttered under her breath and with a small shimmer she became almost invisible.

She had to be quick as this was a very hard spell to maintain. If she was lucky she would have at most a minute and a half before her stamina was completely drained. She judged the distance then made a dash. She grabbed the purse from the woman's hand and turned to run back to the alley.

She felt the girl trying to grab her purse, and she pushed her oh no you do noy young lady she says grabbing her Arm,

And what have we hear she says holding onto your arm, A Thief well I have a cure for you and now taking her down the Ally,


Looking for a stone big one or even a rock or stone to sit on come on she said,

Elisa couldn't believe the woman had seen her and the surprise threw her off guard enough that she dropped her spell, becoming visible once more. She struggled against the grip of her arm. There was no way to get away as she was held tightly. "Let me go!" she said pushing against the woman as she was dragged down the alley.
