News stations from all over the country had reporters on the scene, though none were as zealous as those representing Metropolis's own Daily Planet. Today was the day Superman and the Flash raced around the world. While Lois Lane's money was secretly on Superman, she still had a lot of respect for his opponent. At the moment, she was beside him, with a tape recorder and a microphone. "Mr. Flash, how does it feel to finally be racing the Man of Steel himself? Are you confident?"

"Miss Lane, I think it a pleasure I can finally get someone to test my metal against, so to speak." He said. "While I have nothing but respect for Superman I have no ambition of going easy on him." He said. The speedster felt he could beat superman in a race, probably not a fight but speed was his advantage.

Lois thanked the Flash and dismissed him. She and the Planet's camera crews moved to the starting line, where Superman was already waiting.
Superman extended a hand toward his opponent. "This should be a good race. May the faster man win."

"Thanks i will." He said, he had no desire of losing especially concidering the bet the two of them made in secret the loser would get spank by the winner. He knew he had the speed he just needed to make sure he made sure to stay on path as much as possible, that would decide the battle.

"Ladies and gentlemen from around the world, welcome to Metropolis!" came the booming voice of the race's announcer from speakers set up across the city. "Today we settle once and for all, which hero is truly the fastest on Earth: the Man of Steel, or the Scarlet Speedster. The race will be from Metropolis, directly around the circumference of the world, and back. Are we ready to begin?"
Superman and the Flash got into position, ready to run.
"On your marks... get set... GO!"

Flash ran the nano second he could he ran. He knew that as long as he avoid drifting off he could beat the man of steel. He keep speed as he pivot around buildings, he had the speed but maybe not the endurance to keep the speed up all the way.

Superman also sprinted as fast as he was capable of. He was almost running alongside the Flash, but he could tell he was slightly behind. They were running east, so it was only a matter of milliseconds before Delaware gave way to the Atlantic Ocean, and the two heroes were gliding on water. Superman knew the whole world was watching, but he briefly wondered if Aquaman was keeping tabs on their progress from his throne in Atlantis.

The two of them keep running stopping only when there was a boat or an animal that accidentally jumped up Infront of them. Wally was gradually getting a head of him but knew he needed to save some of his speed to win. They found land and went through Europe.
