Marriage In Skyrim (for Roseyreaping12)
Eir the Northerner knew her wife, Camilla, needed something to do during the day. And she knew she'd been a merchant by trade before they married. So when Camilla came to her, announcing that she was opening a store in their new home in the city of Solitude, it had made perfect sense. Now, however, it was beginning to worry her. Camilla was a skilled merchant, but sometimes perhaps a little too skilled. She haggled with people who really ought not to be haggled with, and was protective of her wares sometime at the cost of safety. The Nord was worried that one of these days, she was going to go too far and confront the wrong customer. She'd come close already...

Camilla ran her eyes over her wares as she was proud of the new set she had just made she was a skilled shoe maker and had always been pretty good at haggling with people which she did a lot before she met her wife and left her old home city as she looked at the large brutish man try and cheap her out of a finely made silver toned braced shoes they were fit for any working man who wanted to protect her feet "sorry sir 2 will not do ill take 8 and no less" she said stubbornly to the large man she was not easily cowed or scared a habit she could guess scare her wife but she felt she had a right not to budge on her amazing wares at such a small price.

"Are you insane, woman?" the man, a large Orcish warrior asked, staring down the much smaller shopkeeper. "800 septims for a pair of shoes? I could go kill a bandit and take his shoes for free. 400 is my price, and I won't pay more."
Eir watched this exchange from the corner of the room. Normally she wasn't in Camilla's shop, but her wife had asked her to haul in a new load of firewood. She had nothing against Orcs, having fought alongside many of them in the military, but this one was giving her a bad feeling. She would stay until he left, just to make sure things didn't go south.
(I said she's a shopkeeper, not a shoemaker, but that's ok, lol.)

She sighed "well i dont cheap out on my items so go ahead and go kill a bandit" she said the blond a firey tornado right now "so get out of my shop with your cheap sells" she said with a cross of her arms and a glare on her face as she was hoping for a simple 650 but wanted to make him work for it she got a little thril out of the fighting prices as she looked no more ready to back down.

The Orc regarded her in annoyance, tusks out and eyes narrowed. "All right, human. 500 septims. But that's as low as I'm going to go." The final sentence was a warning. Eir was already standing with a hand on her sword.
(No worries, lol. Camilla is also the black-haired woman in the dress. Eir is the blonde in armor.)

"650 and its yours" she countered it was lower then the 800 and would be the price she wanted as her eyes glared back at the man no more about to back down then the angry orc that she could tell was getting frustrated even though she wanted nithing more then for him to give her the money and get out of her store.

The Orc's hand went to the mace on his belt. "How about 500 and I let you live, milk-drinker?" he snarled.
"Enough!" Eir came and stepped between her wife and the mercenary. She was a tall, imposing woman, and while she was much smaller than an Orc, she was visibly stronger than Camilla. "Camilla. Give him the shoes for 500." She was already charging a frost spell in her hand in case things escalated.

"What!" She said amazed her wife was siding with this brute as she said "and let this crock leave without paying a fair price!" She said her voice clearly high with annoyance as she rolled her eyes "whatever" she said as she looked to the Orc "five hundred" she said with a tight voice she knew she couldnt fight the creature she was not near as strong as a lot of the warriors and fighters but she had the spirit of one.

The Orc tossed 500 septims on the counter and took the shoes, stomping out. When he was gone, Eir sheathed her frost spell. She would have been able to kill him easily if it had come to that, but she'd made a decision after the war ended to not take another life unless hers or Camilla's was truly in danger. The Nord turned to her wife with an unhappy expression. "Camilla. I know how you are, and I know he was asking for an unfair price. But don't you think you could have used a little more common sense?"

"He was a cheat i was not going to stand for it" Camilla said stubbornly as she tossed her brown hair over her shoulder eyes narrowed in annoyance as she tossed her money into a mashift holding station as she said "common sense gets me screwes over so sorry if i didnt feel like using it on the crude orc" she said her accent very strong now.
