As she wandered home from high school at the end of her first day in tenth grade, Celeste sang a corny, bad song she'd written as a child. It just seemed to fit, for Alderbrown High School was the most beautiful school she'd ever attended. With its rose-colored brick design and the green lawn and flowers that surrounded it, it had made her feel as if she were a happy child once again instead of a teenaged girl who was attending school again for the first time in years. Now she was daydreaming of love and friendship and other romantic things, slowing her steps to delay her return home, where the lights were always out, her mother was always depressed and her siblings were being "home schooled," which meant that they might choose to do a page or two of science or history schoolwork in between hours of watching TV and moping.

"Hey, Celeste! Wait for me!" Ayume frantically waved her right hand, staying on balcony of the second floor. Her friend seemed dissaponted of something and slowly walked towards exit gate, not paying much attention. Girl at first tried to catch up with her, but for this she would have to run too fast, so it would be nice if her friend waited a bit.

Today Ayume wasted some time at school council, where she expected nothing but another complaint about her behavior or the stupidest advice (again!) not to dye her hair, because the dye is harmful (like she does not know this!). In fact, everything turned to be much easier on her nerves - Ayume was asked if she had been a witness of a fight between the guys. Actually she was, but why should the school council know about this? One hour earlier girl accidentally peeped epic and, unfortunately, unequal battle between two guys from another school (they had a different uniform) and Kenta, who studied with them in the same class. Kenta dissappeared then (probably, not to show his bleeding nose and cut eyebrow).

One thing was particularly interesting - how they got know? Is this school full of hidden cams or what? Probably, Celeste knows more, as Kenta is her darling...

Celeste slowed her pace, and her spirits began to rise. She had met Ayume today, she'd hoped to become friends with her, and it seemed it was going to happen after all.
"Ayume!" She waved her over. "Hey, what's up? Should we go to your house, or should we head for the park? My house is a wreck."

Ayume walked downstairs and approached Celeste, heading for the exit. "I would be glad to show you my house! Imagine, my parents presented me new robotic kitten, very smart and funny! And my live kitty, Hideko likes her new sister so much! It's endless joy and lots of fun to look how she plays with this new toy, "Midori the Cat"..." Girls just came to the exit gate chatting, and therefore a sharp squeal of brakes caught them off guard.

The boy on the motorbike stopped right in front of them. He did not take off his helmet, and did not even lift the visor, keeping the mystery. However, as soon as he spoke, everything became clear - it was Kenta Takahashi. "Celeste, would you like to ride? Sorry, Ayume... for stealing you friend..." Ayume put her hands on hips and sarcastically replied "...and for nearly run over me, young man! Bon voyage, lovers, and don't forget rubber!" she giggled, covering her face with hands, quickly running across the street. "See you, Celeste! Kenta!" She finally waved her hand to pair and disapeared behind bus.

"I wonder why it does not occur to anyone that we can just ride..." Kenta spoke in a deep voice. "Everybody in class know everything! Except me, of course... Okay, Cel, sit down and we go."
