Raising Amy (Amy Stewart)
Melanie Stewart (do you want mother or Aunt?) stood at the sink washing dishes as she waited on the young woman to get home. She washed the last pan and put it up to dry as she dried her hands and set the towel on the counter as she breathed a tired sigh and laid against the chair she had sat in. She ran a weary hand down her face tired from the day.

13 years old Amy Stewart was on her way from school. She was actually almost home... almost. As usual she took a longer way, through the local park. It was a nice and warm, very warm day. The summer vacations were about to start soon.
Finally young adventurer entered the home. "Hi mom!" Girl shouted when entered. Took a few steps into, looking around. She glanced at her mother resting on the chair. "Gonna be in my room!" She added quickly, not even stopping and marched towards the stairs. Soon the sound of her heavy combat boots thumping the stairs could be heard all over.

She sighed as her daughter went to her room and got up from the chair once she had gotten a little rest. She shoved it back down into the table and ran a hand through her hair.
She went to the fridge and got a tea as she thought about work in a few hours and gave a weary sigh it was hard working and raising her daughter alone but she wouldn't have it any other way.

Amy dropped her bag to the floor at her room. She was ready to drop to her bed, checking the Net, when she suddenly realized she needed her favorite soda there. Girl turnd around and like a thunder run downstairs and was bback at the kitchen, by the fridge. Soda was inside. As always.

"Oh... come on mom, it's ridiculous..." Amy said, but stopped and turned around. She put a can of soda away and looked up at her mother. Chill run down her spine as she recognized the stare. "I mean... it's just jeans and top... everyone dresses like that to school..." Teen put her hands to the front pockets of her jeans, trying to look tough. "It's 21st century!"

"Oh mom, they are in style today and I like wearing them! Besides - almost all girls wear cropped tops nowadays, especially all the rock singers on TV!" Amy was trying to explain modern world to her mother. She was standing defiantly, with her hands in the front pockets.
