Strange Eggs

It was Easter, and 15-year-old Celeste (or Lessie) was having a blast. Every house on this block in Levittetown, every lawn was decorated with beautiful pastel colored streamers and balloons. The aromas of barbecuing food were in the air, mingling with the sounds of laughter and shouts of triumph. But where egg gathering was concerned, Celeste was in the lead, and she'd come home to deposit her stash in the kitchen and go on one more hunt in the nearby forest before supper. The winner was to receive the cutest plush Buneary, stuffed with pretty barrettes and gift certificates.
"My goodness, Celeste!" her mother exclaimed, as the eggs came tumbling out of the basket. "How many did you get this time?"
"I got twenty. I'm going out one more time with Kelsey and then I'll be ready for dinner. I'm starving!"
Her mother shook her head. "Sweet, don't you think you've collected enough? It's never a good thing to be too greedy."
"Oh, Mama," Celeste sighed. "You'll understand when you're younger. I'll see you in a minute!"
Grabbing Kelsey's hand, she bounded off into the forest, golden hair flying,leaving her bemused mother shaking her head.

Kelsey smiled as she ran with her friend. She had green eyes, like the forest in summer, and hair as brown as the richest soil. She smiled as she held her dear Chikorita in one arm.

Celeste soon noticed another egg. But little did she know, this was no Easter egg...

"Yes!" Celeste cheered, having spied the smooth curve and pale hue of yet another egg in the light of the dusk. She knelt down and,gently and carefully ass he could, pried it out of the foliage.
"What a weird place to leave an Easter egg, Kelsey - a thorny bush. What did they want - for someone to break it or get all cut up?"

“I don’t know Lessie. Looks kinda weird for an Easter egg, not very colorful.”

Once Lessie had gotten the egg out of the thorn bush and into her arms, it began to glow! When they could see again, in her arms was not an egg, but a new born baby Eevee! It looked up at Lessie, blinking a few times. Then it looked left, and afterwards right. It finally looked at Lessie again, and began to suck its’ paw.

“Mommy!” Flower the Chikorita gasped. “It’s an Eevee!”

For a moment or two, Celeste was breathless. She then melted.
"Oh, Kelsey," she breathed, "it's so - so beautiful!"
She held the Eevee close. "Good evening, sweet. I'm Celeste. You don't have a name yet, do you?"

The little baby Eevee just blinked, continuing to suck his paw. Then he reached up and touched her cheek with his other paw.

“He is!” Kelsey smiled! “We should take him home right away! Just wait until your Mom sees him!”

“Hello! I Flower! What your name?”

The adorability was almost too much for Celeste to bear. She was gentle with the little Eevee, though, kissing it and speaking to it very softly for fear of frightening it.
"He can't talk yet, sweet. But I'm going to teach him to. Your name is Rageon, cutie."
They headed home, with Celeste glowing all the while. Shed forgotten the egg hunt all together.

Rageon nuzzled against her chest. But then... his little tummy growled and he whimpered. He seemed to be tracing her chest, looking for something.

“He needs some warm milk,” Kelsey noted as she carried Flower.

“He so little,” Flower noted.

Celeste couldn't help but to blush, as it was obvious her new Pokebaby expected to feed from her. She sifted him up and down. "Sshhhhhh, cutie. We're almost home."
She burst into her house. "Mama, look!"
Raihani stopped her plate serving to look. "Why, Celeste! Where . . .?"
"He's a newborn, Mama! I thought his egg was an Easter one - and then, as I was holding him, he hatched. And he's starving."
Moments later, the cutie was drinking milk from a ladle.

Little Rageon looked all over. He was still sucking his paw. His tiny tummy rumbled again.
