I went into the room were my wife and daughter were. I asked my daughter what she was so excited about on her phone. After that I went to my wife checking out what she was reading while also informing her not to be to focused on the book so she does not burn dinner

"Nothing Daddy" Bree said with a smile as she sent another text to her boyfriend as she lowered the phone "how was your day daddy?" Bree asked her father as she ran a hand through her dark hair and her green eyes focused on her father.

"Alright dear I'll make sure to keep an eye on it" she said as she flashed him a smile as she lowered her book to acknowledge him before pulling the book back up to look at it.

Brees mother Irina while focused on her book managed to keep track of dinner. Bree smiled "um well no more friends then i did before" she said with a shrug as she smiled at the incoming text.

Everything looked like it was going well. The hamburgers were done and as soon as the fries were done we can heat up the corn in the microwave i thought to myself. I gave my wife a kiss and went to go change. suddenly as i was almost done changing the smoke detector went off. I stopped everything and took the fries out of the oven without any pants on to see that they all burnt. i was mad at both my wife and daughter. why did no one check the fries i asked angrily.
