Still Young } Princecloud
There were a lot of worries when kids were involved in crimefighting, Batman's hope was always that as his sidekick got older it would get easier. Today proved that wrong. Teenagers... he should have known it would lead to more trouble. How could he have been so naive? But still, he had hoped Dick would be smarter than he had been tonight.
Breaking into Justice League computers, disobeying direct orders, putting his life and those of his friends at risk... It wasn't going to be a fun end to the night for the boy wonder, Bruce had warned the boy as they drove home.
---
Wally had been spending the weekend with his aunt and uncle. He did that a lot, especially when there were big missions. It just made life easier in the long run. Though now he wanted anything but to be here. His uncle was thoroughly ticked at him, he knew that.
"Uncle Barry, it's not that big a deal. We're fine! If anything, we proved we aren't just sidekicks tonight. We can handle ourselves."

Dick glared out the window, it wasn't fair, they saved someone tonight and destroyed a lab, but no the big tough justice league didn't see it like that. They never saw it the way they tried to explain it, he only had a few scuffs nothing serious but of course he was in trouble, just because of a little hacking job. It's not his fault he was taught so well! The teen only moved enough to glare at Bruce, he was going to give him the silent treatment, well he'd get it back as well.
---
Barry shook his head,"Not a big deal! Wally you could have been killed! And don't think I didn't hear when you guys were talking about almost being cloned! If that had happened you would have been seriously hurt or even gone. Leaving those clones to destory anything they wanted!",he said a stern frown forming on his face.
"You still need some training. You proved you couldn't listen to us.".

There was a lot Bruce could take. Hell, there was a lot he has. But his sidekick... his son... putting himself in direct danger was not one of them. Especially just to prove a point. Yeah, maybe letting him become a hero in the first place wasn't the smartest thing (Alfred and Jen would remind him that constantly) but he had. And the boy was trained how to handle it. Rule #1, always listen to his orders.
He hadn't tonight, and it almost got him killed. More than once. Dick could pout all he wanted about that, it wouldn't change anything. He pulled into the Batcave, parking. After another moment of silence, he turned to his son, "Change out of your uniform and go up to your room, I will up shortly. If I were you, I'd be thinking about what happened tonight."
---
Wally didn't see why his uncle was freaking out so bad. Yeah, a lot could have gone wrong but it didn't. Didn't that count for anything? Plus, they saved Superboy! He was free because they... disobeyed direct orders. Or, as he would rather put it, helped out. It wasn't like Flash had told him to stay put.
He resisted rolling his eyes, it would do him no good now, "I could have, but I wasn't! Me, Rob and Kaldur had it all under control... For the most part. And what we didn't, Supes helped out with! It takes a lot more than some freak scientist to keep us down," He tried to defend. He groaned at the training comment, "Yeah, yeah. Not like I haven't heard that before..."

He didn't have to tell Dick twice, the teenager got out of the car, quietly going into the changing room switching out of the uniform which had some torn spots and into some sweats. Heading straight upstairs and into his room, glaring at the wall for a moment, of course he was always wrong, because the Batman could never be wrong...
He reached on his nightstand for his handheld gaming system, trying to calm down before his temper got the best of him. He could be just as stubborn as Bruce when he was ready, and that could make for a hard time.
---
Barry sighed, rubbing his temple for a second, trying to keep calm as he realized his nephew wasn't getting the point he was making. And he thought handling kids were hard, but teenagers it was a totally different ball game, they thought they were right all the time.
"And what if Superboy had turned out to be evil? You need to think about all these things! That freak scientist could have known your weaknesses. Or what if he looked at you without a mask to cover your face?",he said crossing his arms.

Bruce took the time to calm down too. If he had learned anything since taking Dick in 4 years ago, is he couldn't talk with him when he was this angry. It would go in the wrong direction. So he got some files done from the League mission tonight and the kids' little escapade. Then he changed out of his own suit and took the slow walk up from the cave into the warm light of Wayne Manor.
Calm. He was going to remain calm. He took a few minutes before heading up to Dick's room, letting himself in. When he saw his 13-year-old on his game instead of thinking, the man frowned, "Richard, we've had this discussion before. Being sent to your room is to think, as I explicitly reminded you tonight, not play games. You know better."
---
Wally was at that age he was old enough to know better in a lot of situations but not mature enough to make the right calls. Especially now, and with what they did, he was trying to prove himself in ways he didn't need too. He hated being handled with kid gloves. He thought, at 15, he could handle just about anything.
Though he realized as his uncle spoke he hadn't thought about a lot tonight, "He's Superman's clone, how could he be evil? There's not an ounce of it in the big guy. And even if he did look under my mask, it's not like anyone knows who Wally West is. I'd be safe!"

Dick could hear the footsteps towards his room, looking at the screen of his game, trying to distract himself til he heard the door open, only taking a glance at Bruce. He was still playing the silent game, that is until he agreed with them. It seemed like a few short words, nothing too hard, he agreed with the man all the time, well half of the time.
The teenager turned off the screen setting it down next to him before crossing his arms stubbornly and looking right at his father figure, as if it was a staring contest.
---
"Just because it's his clone doesn't mean they can twist the dna, or fill his head with untrue stories on why he's there. There are so many ways he could become evil.",Barry said looking both stern and worried for his nephew, if he didn't realize all these things it meant more training.
The speedster sighed taking a deep breath before looking at the redhead again,"If he's smart enough to have the technology to create clones, I'm pretty sure he has a facial recognition system somewhere down there. It's not that hard. One scan and he has your address, family, friends, any possible links.",he tried to explain.

Bruce just wanted to get this over with and go to bed. It had been a long enough day as it was, and he just wanted it as far behind him as possible. But when he walked into the teen's room and found him playing games - not thinking over his actions like he had been told too - Bruce knew the night was far from over.
He frowned as he watched the boy put the game down, and continue with the attitude. He wouldn't put up with it much longer, "What you did tonight Richard was the most foolish, risky and downright stupid thing you've done since I let you out as Robin 4 years ago. While you had good results, you disobeyed my direct order, hacked into Justice League computers, and nearly got yourself clones or killed by going into a mission with no knowledge of it.
While I'm proud of you for saving the clone, the rest of that cannot be excused. You have to know that by now. AND what will be coming next."
---
"We had it under control. Between the three of us, we could have dealt with it. You all trained us to do that," Wally tried to counter. He was sure, eventually, that between the 3 teens they would have gotten out alive.
He looked away when his uncle explained how they could have found out who he was, and how that could put those around him in serious danger. He hadn't thought of that at all. It was stupid of him not too, he thought now. He was silent.

Dick looked away taking a deep breath to calm down before he made things worse, looking back towards Bruce once again,"... We were trying to show you we could be more than sidekicks..",he said before he sighed relaxing slightly.
"I mean it's not my fault the computers are hackable.. you could have built a cyberwall and hacked back..",he said as if it was a challenge.
---
"You hardly had it under control. Some of us still need help on missions like that. Yes you're trained, but it doesn't mean you can't slip up.",Barry explained,"You could have waited and eventually we would have given you a mission you guys could handle.".
The man let him have a moment of silence to think over it all. Taking the time to calm down himself, shaking his head slightly as he decided on what he needed to do, it wasn't anything new, just figuring out how to go about it for such a serious matter.

Bruce listened as Dick tried to defend his actions, and sighed. It would seem Roy wasn't the only one unhappy with their treatment, though he wasn't sure if it was because of him speaking up the others were, "No one doubts your skills, but you three are still children. There are reasons you do not engage in the same things the League does. Our job is to keep you safe, and that means drawing lines."
His eyes narrowed as the teen in front of him tried to blame the hacking on anyone but himself, "Do not make this worse for yourself, Richard. You should be lucky I don't take up Alfred's advice and go get a cane. Don't make me change my mind."
---
"I had help! I had Kaldur and Robin. You guys trained us, are you trying to say you, Bats and Aquaman couldn't have handled that together?" He tried to defend. He knew he wasn't going to win this battle, but he wasn't going to give up, "Eventually? What, when we all threatened to walk out like Roy did?"
Wally stood there in the silence. He hated it, he knew what his uncle was thinking... in a way. He knew he wasn't going to like whatever he decided was fit punishment, but he had no choice. Not if he wanted to keep being Kid Flash at least.

"We're not children.. we're teenagers. There's a difference.",he said frowning, of course he was just becoming a teen but that was besides the point! "But you make us do weak stuff while you get all the serious work.",Dick countered crossing his arms in a huff.
He was doing a tough act until he heard about the cane,"What?! That thing is..",he paused merely looking away as he shifted nervously,"Dad I'm only trying to say you could fix the system if you don't want to be hacked so easily..".
---
"We could handle it. But we've been doing this longer. And we're adults.",it was the boy's next statement that caused him to get a stern voice. "Don't you even start with that. We wanted to train you more. It wouldn't have been that long. But you've been very impatient.".
"You know what's coming right Wally?",he asked sitting in a armless chair, disappointed in the fact they had to do this again. Not that he thought the young hero wouldn't need it anymore but the actions that caused it all.
