Valka sits off the edge of a cliff looking out into the ocean shaking her head slowly. Everything changed in such a small time. She finally got reunited with her son, she found out he has a dragon of his own and none-other than a Nightfurry and Cloudjumper and Toothless seem to be getting along like old friends. Everything seems to be going perfect, except for one thing. That brat of a girl Hiccup calls his girlfriend. She cannot stand her for some reason. She’s not sure if it’s that constant need to be right or if she’s worried about someone taking her baby boy away from her again. With a loud groan she throws a rock down below and watches as the ripped come from it before she slowly stands “a mother must do what a mother must do…” she mutters.

The woman starts to walk towards she thinks her son might be and places a hand on his shoulder “could I get a word with you alone?” she said before wrapping her arm around his shoulder and taking him over to a downed tree “I wanted to talk about your girlfriend…do you do anything with her when she gets that attitude? I mean, a chief shouldn’t let their significant other boss them around! I know Stoic never let me talk to him like she talks to you”

Hiccup was happy that Astrid was with him and wven with her constant belittling of him, he knew she meant no harm. She'd always be for the tribe and she only yelled at him cause well he was doing something wrong. Plus well he did love jer and wanted her input in some things and while others looked down at him for that...he'd never expect his own mother for saying this to him.

"Er mom well",he looked down at his metal leg feeling a bit disappointed that his own mother didn't like Astrid"I'd like her input i mean...i guess I'm that sorta guy",he tries to whisper to not let anyone else-espically not his beloved Astrid- know that his mom's complaining about him. Knowing her she'd barge up and yell in her face which spelled disaster for him usually.

Valka shook her head as her son started to explain the situation “no, you don’t get it son. It’s not about input, trust me, I gave your father an earful when he needed one, but it’s the way she speaks to you. It’s almost like she doesn’t appreciate that beautiful mind of yours and she doesn’t let you do the things a chief needs to do. Your partner is supposed to be the wings under you, not the weights on your legs”

She sighs “are you understanding me Hiccup?” she doesn’t care if Astrid hears this, maybe this’ll be a good reality check for her “If she doesn’t change her attitude, I’ll be forced to show her what happens when she messes with a Haddock…do you remember the punishment I gave you when you were a boy?” she said softly

He looked down as his mom explained it to him,his brows furrowing. Astrid was just helping him that's all...a-and it was in her nature to be a bit more demanding,there was nothing wrong with that. He didn't want to admit it but she held more sway over Hiccup then he would like to admit himself. Virtually no one messed with her unless they'd want to get into a fight with her and if you try using a dragon...then well she had Cloudjumper to help her out.

He looked up at his mom as she mentioned the punishment,"Um......sorta?",he rubs his head,"you left me when I was really young...so I just remember dad either sighing or yelling at me".

A small chuckle escapes her and she graps onto his cheeks gently “oh, your father was always the soft one when punishing you. He kept saying ‘Valka, the boy needs to know what true fear is, that’ll stop him’. But, mother knew best, and you could be scolded until the sheep came home, you would march to your own drum” a soft smile fell on her lips as she brushed his hair “so, finally I made a decision and put you over my lap and gave you the beating of your life. Yes, your father was mad when he came home, but you never did that again” she let go of his cheeks and nodded her head “perhaps a refresher would do you both good, at the very least it would clear the water for any punishments you got away with while I wasn’t there. Could you please find her and bring her over to me?”

Hiccup blushed madly as his mother tells him of the time he was once spanked. During the time he hazily remembers him going off on his own to explore and his dad just telling him no a bunch of times...but that was it,only Hiccup's imagination and Valka's word filled in what happened when she found out what was going on. He looks up at his mother as she lets go of his cheeks and his mouth gapes a little,"W-wait first of all n-no i don't want one"! His mind goes back to Astrid telling-er yelling at him to be a bit more assertive.

He then stands up taller and says straight to Valka's face,"NO...no mom I'm not getting spanked by you,I'm not your child anymore",and of course with his own spanking out of the question bringing Astrid was also out of the question.

Valka saw that deep blush on her son’s face and it’s then she realizes her husband never told him. A small chuckle escaped her lips as she shakes her head “foolish man, always trying to control the ones you know can’t be tamed” she mutters before she looks back to her son “you’re not supposed to ‘want’ one Hiccup. If every child got out of this because they told their parents they didn’t ‘want’ one, then nothing would happen” she said sternly staring at him directly in the eye.

“What did you just say boy?” she said standing tall and looming over him a few inches “you do not talk to your mother or anyone with that tone do I make myself clear”. In a swift motion, she clasps his ear and starts to drag him over to a large rock “you may not be a child anymore, but you are acting like one. How do you expect to lead your people when you can’t even lead yourself Hiccup?” she quickly sits down and slings the boy over her lap

The chuckling only caused more blushing...damn it maybe he should have told him about this so that he wouldn't be a blushy child in front of his mother.

Of course when he refused to get a spanking he still defiantly looked at his mom...even if she was taller then him. Hiccuo yelped as his mom grabbed his ear,"W-wait no let go mom!",he tried pulling back but he only hurt his poor ear. Hiccuo netherless continuously keot trying to pull back and to delay the inevitable punishment. When Valka started to bend him over he tried to push back on the rock,"Mom please i dont need this you're just being overprotective"

“I’ll gladly let you go once I teach you a lesson my son now stop fighting back, this is just going to end worse for you” the older woman hissed as she placed a firm hand on his back keeping him in place. She quickly placed her leg over his pinning him down on the lap before the first of many swats come raining down “this isn’t me being overprotective my son, this is me doing what your father refused to. Even if you can’t see it, this is for your own good” the second smack hits his other cheek and she starts a steady rhythm

"N-no I dont need a lesson!",he cried out before he was flipped over her lap and felt her leg pinning him over her back. He kept trying to move flip her somehow but all efforts were in vain. He then tried pleading again not knowing that she had her hand poised to strike,"Mom-OW!",his bottom shook a bit from the impact ,a hearty sting resulting from it. He didn't hear what his mom said afterwards but definitely felt the second smack excliting another yelp from him and the other smacks only produced more slaps.
