One full month had passed since Majin Buu was defeated by the powerful Saiyan known as Son Goku. As the world was put to peace once more, the eldest son of Goku was getting ready to start his day. Unaware of the adventure he would soon get himself roped up in the upcoming days.

Inside his bedroom, Gohan was putting on the last of his clothes. Those being the orange training g.i that the Supreme Kai had gifted to him before heading into battle against Majin Buu. Tying his blue belt in place around his waist, Gohan headed outside after saying goodbye to his mother. After awakening all of his hidden potential, the Half Saiyan was eager to train and put his newfound power to good use.

Never again would he let his strength wane like he had done so after Cell. If Earth was threatened in the future, he wanted to be ready for whatever foe he might face.

Summoning his power Gohan shot off into the sky. The eighteen-year-old basked in the feeling of the sun on his back and the wind in his hair. After a couple of minutes, he soon landed in a large clearing dead center of the forest.

Finding the location a perfect spot to train. Gohan brought his power to the surface and began to warm up by practicing his Kata's. He didn't want to over do himself too early and sprain a muscle! That had happened plenty of times in the past, and his bottom had paid the price of it by his mentors!

The second child of Goku, and his youngest one, Goten was currently trying to find something to do. His mother wanted him to study but that was much too boring and often ended with him falling asleep halfway through. Hearing that his brother was leaving sparked an idea in the young half-Saiyan and he quickly went to get dressed so that he wouldn’t be completely left behind.

The child got out of his casual clothing and began getting dressed in a similar gi to his older brother’s. After he had it on, he picked up a snack to eat on the way to Gohan before waving goodbye to his mother who was shouting at him to get back.

Once he was out of the house, he took off into the sky, almost falling a few times as he went over the training his brother had put him through to help him fly. He got the hang of it rather quickly and focused on his brother’s ki, soon following him.

It took a few minutes, and a small snack break before Goten spotted a speck of orange in a field of green trees and grass. The young boy smiled and flew towards his brother now.

“Gohan!” he called out to alert the older boy. “Are you doing something fun?”

While asking that he landed beside Gohan.

With his mind at complete peace, Gohan calmly moved through each of his Kata's with near-perfect precision. Growing up and learning how to fight from Piccolo and his father, Gohan had adopted the best parts of each men's fighting style into his own. This blend of technique with the Demon Clan Fighting Style and Turtle School Fighting Style accented Gohan perfectly.

Before long, Gohan felt properly warmed up and well stretched to begin some more serious training. (He would still need to hold back a good bit. If he let out his full power he could accidentally cause earthquakes! And when you lived in such a mountainous area as he did. That was just asking for trouble!)

"Okay, now to get some proper training in." Clenching his fists, he was just about to pull out some of his latent power when he heard the voice of his younger brother call out to him. Blinking in surprise, Gohan looked over to find Goten flying towards him. "Oh, hey Goten!" He gave the boy a wave before he eventually landed beside him.

"Well actually, I was just about to do some training. But then you showed up." Putting his hands on his hips, he cocked his head to the side. "Did you want to join me? It would be a lot more fun if I had a sparing partner." He offered with a kind smile.

Goten dusted himself off as he landed, having accidentally kicked up dust due to the somewhat rough landing. After clearing himself from the small amount of debris he would smile up at Gohan.

The young boy jumped up excitedly and nodded like a bobble head at the offer. Sure sparring wasn’t exactly the same as playing a game would be, but it was enough fun for a child Saiyan like himself.

“Yeah!” the child exclaimed. “I haven’t really sparred because mom wants me to study, but I can still do my best.”

Gohan chuckled a little to himself. "Yeah, I've noticed. Now that dad is alive again, mom is pushing you to study more. She always had me study as a kid too." Shaking his head, he gently patted his baby brother on the head. Goten would just need to get used to it all.

"Well, before we actually spar. I want you to do your warm-ups first. As soon as you are finished, we can get started." Gohan sat down a couple of feet away from his younger brother. "And uh, let's be sure to keep our power in check. I don't want to accidentally blow anything up. So just hand to hand combat. No energy blasts or stuff like that."

Goten smiled at the pat to his head and placed the second snack he had brought on the brown so he wouldn’t accidentally crush it while training. Afterwards he stretched his legs and arms to loosen his joints, though it wasn’t really needed for him, he just saw his dad do it a few times and wanted to copy him.

“Okay got it!” Goten called and started the warm-up. His own was practically a replica of Gohan’s due to him being mostly trained by him and Chi Chi. He did add his own little spin on a few techniques though to make it more of his own instead of a copy.

Gohan gave his brother a thumbs up from his spot on the grass. While his brother did his warm-ups, the eldest son of Goku gazed up at the clear blue sky and let himself be lost in his own thoughts. 'As much as I hate to admit it. If it weren't for Buu, dad would still be in the Otherworld. And for that I'm thankful.

Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, Gohan got to his feet after noticing that his baby brother had finished with his warm-ups. "Okay Goten, let's get started. On the count of three okay? One...two...three!"

(Feel free to time-skip past this sparring scene. I'm not the best at fight scenes. Haha.)

(Haha, then we’re the opposite. I’m not a master, but I’ve done plenty of fighting scenes to where I can make them interesting)

After several minutes, their training session was finally over and Goten was hungry. Just about all three males in the Son family had developed the ability to eat a lot of food, though Goku was the one who always ate the most.

“Gohan I’m huuunngry,” Goten whined, though it wasn’t a whine of a brat, more of a whine from a truly hungry child.

Wiping the sweat from his brow, Gohan chuckled at his little brother's cute whine. The spar he had with Goten had been a lot of fun! And now that the mention of food was brought up, Gohan noticed that he felt pretty hungry too!

Rubbing his stomach Gohan nodded back at Goten. "Yeah, I'm pretty hungry too Goten. But it's a good thing you brought lunch with you. I assume that's why you brought a bento box." Walking over to the box his brother had sat down earlier, he opened it to reveal a large enough meal for both of them to enjoy!

"Wow! There's enough here for the both of us Goten. Yum, it smells delicious." Sitting down on the grass. Gohan laid out the small blanket provided and began to set out the food that had been packed away. "Come and join me bro."

“Yeah! I didn’t know how long we’d be out here so I just brought a lot of food,” Goten replied as he followed his brother and watched him lay out the food.

He grinned as Gohan took a seat in the grass and ran over to him, jumping into him while wrapping his little arms around his brother. After the surprise hug he helped him set out the food and soon the two of them were eating the delightful meal. Normally it would’ve taken quite a while to eat as much food as Goten had brought, but the two of them managed to eat the entire thing in a few minutes.

After they had finished Goten laid down on the grass with a sigh, his belly full and happy. “That was good. Soooo what else were you gonna do out here, just train?”
