Sarah Brookstead sat on her couch, minding her business one day, just relaxing and watching television on a Saturday morning while she ate her breakfast. Sarah was a somewhat tall curvy raven haired girl with a very motherly personality, always being the first one to step up and defend another girl at her school that she had graduated from the year prior. The girl was dressed in pajama pants and a tank top with no bra underneath, as she was alone in the house and she had just woken up anyway. A buzz in her pocket caused the girl to pull her phone out, emerald eyes scanning the device and the text from her mom she had received. She assured her mom that everything was going fine and that taking an off year from school wasn't going to affect her badly, serving to let her decompress after high school, even if her parents had enough money that she could live comfortably and never work a single day in her life, Sarah still tried her hardest to make something of herself instead of being a lazy, stuck up snob like some girls of her fortune could be.

Ellie "El" Raven was getting frustrated as she pulled on her flannel shirt for the fifth time it was a garage sale shirt worth a quarter but it was her favorite shirt as she felt it starting to get to worn she was barely yet out of high school coming close to graduating and her bitch of a mother threw her out the minuet she turned 18 having never wanted to bother with kids in the first place and when her only child and daughter was of age she cared less she was still in high school and threw a few items out side and locked the door with a cheered holler and she rolled her eyes she was trying to find places to live at hoping to find someone to let her live with them having gotten a freighted but so far the only offer she could get of a guy who wanted to live with her and make her a happy woman. She stepped up to the fancy apartment and sighed there was no way she could pay the rent as she looked at the ad in the paper that had been open for this place a single woman wanting a roommate.

Sarah shoveled another mouth full of cereal into her mouth as she sat on the couch, the television more so just on to make the room feel less empty. She had placed the ad in the paper just a week ago, and already some of the applications she had received had made her skin crawl with disgust, even having to block one phone number who wouldn't stop calling her. Her phone number and the name Sarah were printed just below the ad, asking for a strictly platonic roommate to stay with her. The rent was not specified in the ad, however.

Ellie sighed as she hoped she could get a job soon not a lot of people wanted a person who dropped out of school but she had little choice due to her mother hard to get to school with no way to gether besides 4 hours late as it would require her to walk most the day away as she ran a hand through her black wavy hair as her dark green eyes scanned the building before she took the elevator to the place that was asking for roommates and gave a tentive knock as she pulled up her loose baggy jeans that she salavged from the trash that would do the job.

Hearing a knock on the door, Sarah sighed, assuming it was probably some door to door salesman that had somehow gotten into the building. She walked over to the front door of her apartment, opening the door with annoyance written across her expression. "What do you Wa...." she began, trailing off when she saw it was not just some sleazebag trying to sell her overpriced services just because she was the daughter of rich parents. Her expression changed to a polite smile. "Hello, um, who are you? Are you here for the roommate application?" she asked in a cheery tone.

Ellie became slightly abashed at her state of dress versus the confortable and seemed to be well put together other woman "um ya i am my names Ellie but you can call me El un ya i mean i know i look like garabe now but i am planning on working soon if youll cut me slack on the first rent i applied for jobs that i can easily walk to im sure one of then will hire me i know its crazy to ask and now that i have spit that all out ill be leaving" she knew there was no way she could afford this place but she knew asking was better then not asking even if your almost certain on the answer

Sarah looked over the girl standing in front of her, something seemed familiar about the girl to her. Sarah stepped aside, holding the door open for the girl. "Why don't you come on inside and we can discuss?" she asked, keeping her same cheery tone. The girl brushed a lock of her jet black hair from her face, smiling sweetly at the other, disheveled girl in front of her. Could she have been someone she had known from school perhaps, she thought to herself silently.

Ellie nodded as she stepped into the apartment it was rather very big she thought almost looking bigger then the house she shared with her mom as she said "thanks" polietly as she fixed her flannel shirt once more she was a pretty thin girl so the large shirt kept trying to slide off her shoulders.

Sarah closed the door behind Ellie, leaving it unlocked. She flashed the girl a polite smile, taking a few steps into the apartment's open concept kitchen. "Can I get you anything to drink, perhaps a coffee or some water?" she asked, being a gracious host as always. Sarah had toned muscles, she had been a runner on the track team after all. She was in very good shape, looking like she could easily kick just about anybody's butt if she set her mind to it.

It had been a couple days since she had gotten a proper glass of water having went in to a couple banks and drank from their water fountains "um ya a glass of water would be amazing" she said with a small smile as she pulled back some of her dark wavy curles behind one of her ears
