It had been a few days since the young child, Samuel was introduced after his mother died. He still didn't understand the concept of death and thought his mother would come back.

It was a typical morning today and Sam woke up when he could smell his new 'stepmom's' cooking which he was sharing a bed with his oldest half sister since there wasn't any extra bedrooms or bed. He changed quickly and ran downstairs for food.

Seth, one of the sons who was 14, was sleeping until he could hear some noise. He was glad he didn't have to share a bed with the young child that recently moved in. Everything was tense now and he wanted to stay away from it.

Mary, the faithful wife was cooking pancakes for the morning. She was cooking a smaller portion of pancakes for the child.

Steve, the father came down as well, he wished everone good morning and tried to kiss his wife.

Alana, the girl Sam shared the bed with only gave her father a dirty look. She did cared for her little stephbrother but she thought that what her father did was not easy forgive.

Seth didn't care much and just wanted this drama to end. He kicked his sister's leg glaring at her.

Sam happily ate and he soon finished. "Daddy, play with me!"

"OW!" Alana whined and gave her brother a dead glare. "What was that for?" She hissed in a whisper.

"Can't daddy have breakfast first?" Steve asked. "Daddy need energy to play with you."

"Stop it!" Seth whispered to Alana glaring at her. "Sam will notice." He whispered.

Sam nodded his head and he scampered off to play in the living room. However the trophies on display from his sister caught his attention. He was told not to touch them at all but he opened the glass drawer and some of the trophies went falling out! There was a loud sound of glass shattering!

"NOOOOOOOOOO!!" Alana screamed holding up another damaged cup. "This is a challenge cup! If I return it like this I would be thrown on of the selection for life!"
