Pokemon: Cerulean City Blues
Only days ago, a young boy from New Bark town had defeated the mighty Lt. Surge and his squadron of Electric Pokemon. It had been a tenuous battle, especially given that the strongest Pokemon in his party had been Feraligatr, a Water type. In the end, a critical hit had won it all for him, securing him the Thunderbadge, his twelfth of sixteen. From there, he continued his journey, traveling north to Cerulean City. The first thing he did after healing his partners at the Pokemon Center was make a beeline for the Cerulean City Gym. As he strode inside confidently, he was met with the sight of absolutely nothing. No Gym Trainers milling about, no Pokemon in the pools, and most notably, no Gym Leader in sight. What a letdown.
From there, the boy, Gold, made his way back into town to ask around about the Gym Leader. At the Pokemon Center, he was met with eye rolls ad groans. Misty, the Gym Leader, was hardly ever in the Gym anymore, apparently. These days she spent a good chunk of her time goofing off with some blond guy up at Cerulean Cape. This was unexpected information for Gold, but it wasn't unwelcome. There was a good chance she'd still be up at the Cape, right? Mounting his bicycle, he started toward the north of the city, determined to find the Gym Leader and earn his thirteenth badge.

Cerulean Cape, a romantic spot that Misty holds hope for being something that could welcome more travelers and increase the popularity of her home city. Then again the redheaded gymleader most likely likes the area for it is somewhere she can take a potential date. Like she is right now with a male she thought was cool looking. Maybe a shallow reason but a lot of people check how one looks before asking them out. So, hoping to impress the man, Misty has chosen to wear a silver one-piece swimsuit with a ice blue, unzipped, jacket. Both of which she has bought for such an occasion...
Only for him to spot Gold appearing on his bicycle and run off like some coward.
"Really?" Misty started with a huff before looking over towards the trainer from New Bark Town. "What are you doing here? Did you show up to interrupt my date? Do you enjoying ruining people's happiness?" those questions come flooding out at almost breakneck speed before, without allowing the boy to speak, the ginger hothead speaks up again. "Forget it, I've got a gym to run," angrily leaves Misty's lips as she turns to leave, starting to head down a stray path, somewhat a shortcut if you will, with the plan to get back home from yet another dud of a date. Not that there is a way for this night to get any worse...right?

"Hey, wait!" cried Gold. "You're the Gym Leader, aren't you? I wanted to challenge you! Don't leave!" It was too late. Misty was already gone, and in the darkness, it was impossible to tell where she went. The boy threw his hat on the ground in frustration. Well, no matter for the time being. He'd just go to Pewter City and take on Brock first. He had the type advantage there with his Feraligatr, and the extra experience wouldn't hurt. Misty could wait a little while longer.
