Rodrigo was introduced to Duel Monsters by Maximillion Pegasus himself,the creator of Duel Monsters!

After it,Rodrigo was able to get his own decks,going on to enter junior Duel Monsters tournaments,hoping to repay the man who helped him get his first deck by showing he could be a great player.

Pegasus,glad at the boy's spirit as a duelist,sent him a invitation for his island,Duelist Kingdom,before the tournament started.However,that was not to be.

Due to a unexpected change of weather,Rodrigo's boat was delayed for two days.By the time he finnaly arrived,Yugi had defeated Pegasus,and Pegasus was sent to the hospital(Due to Bakura,though Rodrigo didn't know that.)

s even Pegasus's bodyguards could only assume it was the Duel with Yugi that made Pegasus need to be hospitalized,Rodrigo asked to borrow Pegasus's Toon Deck-for he intended to beat Yugi at Duel Monsters as payback! Though it was denied at first,Pegasus's closest bodyguard remembered how Pegasus remarked at the duelist spirit the boy he helped was showing-and she lent Pegasus's deck,believing he would accept the boy's determination.

However,Rodrigo's search for Yugi led him to learn the truth-and as Rodrigo recklessly challenged Bakura,he lost a Shadow Game....that sent him to the future,perhaps to his spirits's help!

Rodrigo would thus find his way to Duel Academy.

After wandering for a while,and being enrolled as a Slifer,Rodrigo decided he had to see if his Toons were okay!

Once he was sure no one could see him,he activated the magic Toon World,and jumped inside the book....ending in a beautiful,magical world!

Like the cartoons on TV,Toon World was a happy place.But there were some rules even on this crazy and magical world.Some cartoons on tv do end with a red bum bum,after all...right?

As Rodrigo explored Toon World,to make sure all was in order....
