Penance { for Lizardwhisperer

[Nene]

He didn't have much time to process what was happening. In one moment, Castiel, angel of the Lord fought through Purgatory as his penance for what he had done to humanity and Heaven. Then, he found himself out of danger, parked beside his elder brother Gabriel and before the Winchester brothers, sans grace and his coat and suit practically swallowing up his apparently much smaller form.

Castiel rose an arm, observing how the sleeve fell over his hand, and he looked down at his tie that now hung low to his knees. He'd lost his suit pants, and his shoes. The bottom of his trench coat pooled at his feet and his white button-up shirt passed his knees. "... What is the meaning of this?" he demanded of his brother. He could barely look forward at Sam and Dean as he felt his penance was not over. "Why have you brought me back, and in this condition?"

After he faked his death (again), at the hands of Lucifer, Gabriel stayed quiet while The Winchesters and Castiel rewrote The Apocalypse. He lay low while his brother tried his hand at playing Daddy (terribly) and even kept under the radar when Cas released the Leviathan, to gobble up the planet. Gabe watched and waited...and waited and waited for Universal karma to deliver his little brother's comeuppance--but it never did (thanks, Dad).
That is, until the leviathan were thrown back into Purgatory, along with Dean Winchester and the one and the same little brother--who threw out his return ticket, in the name of penance.
Somehow, running away from the world he'd nearly destroyed, didn't seem a very effective way to make amends. Gabriel had another way.
"Welcome to Learn Your Lesson 101, lil' bro--you'll need a pencil and a notebook--they'll be lectures. Oh and if you fail to follow direction, discipline. Believe me, you're not gonna want to be sent to see the principle." Gabe leaned down and cupped his hands either side of his mouth, whispering, "That's me."
The Winchesters stood staring at the archangel, dumbfounded.
"You're here for rehabilitation, Cas, the best way I know how. Say what you want about these humans, Cassie, but they know a thing or two about making decisions--the right decisions--something angels suck at. Sam and Dean are gonna teach you to human--congrats, bro, you're a real boy!"

[Nene]

Cas would not be at all pleased by Gabriel's response to his demanding inquiry. It hadn't made an ounce of sense to the de-powered angel. His now human heart still thumped from Leviathans surrounding him and he gathered that his grace would be completely gone as he felt he had to inhale to slow his heart. He tilted his head to the side as his elder brother told him of the lectures and discipline should he fail to follow direction, and that confused puppy look turned an annoyed glare as Gabriel named himself principal. It appeared that Cas had not yet completely understood Gabriel's intentions, such as what this 'discipline' entailed. He hadn't yet understood the Winchesters' role in his penance.

"No... Gabriel, this is... this, this is ridiculous! This is unnecessary, I was--I was fine!" Cas tripped over his words as he argued Gabriel's decision. The situation that Gabriel plucked him out of had been the complete opposite of ideal - surrounded by angry, hungry Leviathans, and Cas, having lost his weapons and severely harmed his wings. Cas had been willing to accept that as part of his penance, but now here he was. Could it be that Gabriel intended to leave him this way, as a small graceless boy? "No... No, Gabriel, change me back immediately!" he demanded and without another thought he stomped his foot in a tantrum-esque manner.

[Lizardwhisperer]

Gabriel folded his arms and waited for the little angel to finish his tantrum. "That, my boy, is exactly the kind of behavior I'm talking about. You weren't fine and you weren't learning anything. These two knuckleheads are gonna help me help you figure out that you don't have all the answers."

"Listen, Gabriel, what the Hell?"
They all looked at Dean.
Gabe smirked, "C'mon, Deano, don't tell me you didn't miss him."
"Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to see you Cas, but-but...Gabriel, what the Hell? We're not babysitters."

Gabe looked down at his stomping little brother. "It's not like he's in diapers. All you boys have to do is keep him in line." Cas continued to pout and fuss until the archangel lifted him out of his sagging suit and trench coat, in just his over-sized shirt.

"Here, I'll demonstrate."

[Nene]

Cas' cheeks turned red as he became frustrated by how his brother referred to his stomping. He looked from Gabe to the Winchesters, "no, no, this ... my penance... it's something I must do alone!" He insisted. He wouldn't admit that he had not truly learned anything punishing himself.

Once Sam shook off the initial confusion, he put a hand on Dean's shoulder, "Dean, this is Cas we're talking about. I think we should hear what Gabriel has to say." Sam told his brother. "How are you expecting us to help you?" Sam turned his gaze to Gabriel.

"No-!" Cas' argument died in his throat when Gabriel scooped him up and his coat dropped from his tiny shoulders. He peered down to his clothing that now lay in a heap. "N-No, Gabriel, put me down, what are you intending to demonstrate?" Cas would be about to find out.

Gabe ignored Cas' protests and unceremoniously deposited his wriggling brother over his lap. "There's an art to discipline, guys, but with some practice, you'll be Rembrants." He took a moment to rummage through Cas' adult-sized shirt and uncover his boy-sized bottom. "Step 1," chimed the archangel, "Prepare your canvas." large boxers were easily slipped off little legs. As Castiel struggled, Gabe continued on. "Step 2, paint a glorious sunrise."
With that, Gabriel raised his hand and started spanking his little brother, turning his tiny bottom pink, while the Winchesters looked on, still a bit shocked.
Cas' "canvas" soon turned a brighter shade, but the archangel kept right on spanking, showing how to accurately hit a moving target, again and again.
"Try not to let all the noise get to you, fellas--it's part of the creative process.

Cas' protests came to an abrupt end the moment he found himself on his tummy across Gabriel's firm lap. He was shocked, not at all having anticipated this form of discipline, "b-brother, no-!" Cas swallowed his words and peered over his shoulder at Gabriel, those precious puppy-dog blues silently begging Gabriel not to as the back of his oversized button-up was pulled up to uncover his bottom.

Sam's jaw fell slack and he looked down. Though Gabriel had called it a demonstration, Sam remembered what he was taught - it wasn't cool to watch someone's punishment and it made him uncomfortable. He winced at every smack and cry and he hoped he wouldn't ever have to do that to Cas, or to anyone for that matter.

Cas gasped and cried out as Gabriel's firm hand came down on his unprotected bottom, and he bucked his legs and wriggled about, attempting to remove his bottom from the line of fire. The sting of the smacks made Cas tear up and when Gabriel's punishing hand continued its assault despite his cries, Cas' quiet tears and gasps turned to weeping, then to loud crying. This was absolutely mortifying, and Cas couldn't even look over to the Winchesters; he hid his face that had turned as red as his now baby bottom. "n-nooo, oooh, G-Gabriel please...! Ooowhh-huh-uhhhh!" he knew better than to send his hands back to block, so he put his hands firmly on Gabriel's thigh and tried to push himself up, unsuccessfully.

Though he thought that Cas had definitely earned himself this punishment, the cries made Sam's heart ache and a part of him wanted to rescue Cas from Gabriel, but he knew that that would probably earn him a spot over the archangel's knee as well. He wouldn't risk it, and he looked to Dean, who appeared to be a combination of shocked and confused.

Dean stared at the spectacle before them--Castiel, powerful angel of the Lord, reduced to a sobbing, kicking little boy. As stunned as the hunter was, he did feel a certain sense of satisfaction--after all, Dean Winchester had felt the most betrayed by his friend's poor choices. Still, it wasn't exactly easy listening to Cas cry or seeing the little guy's bare bottom glow--Gabriel wasn't fooling around.

As Cas' little mounds grew hot, Gabe decided to move to stage two of the lesson. He tilted his sobbing little brother forward, over his right knee, exposing the boy's lower backside, where he wouldn't be sitting, anytime soon.
"Now Sam, Dean, it's important not to neglect this area, if you want little Cassie here, to remember his lesson."
The Winchesters flinched , as Gabe unleashed a fast volley of spanks, all to the little boy's angelic sit spots. The bare little bottom blazed fully red, when the spanking was over.
Then, Gabe lifted his squalling little brother into his arms and petted and shushed him. "You're not going to want to skip this step--ever. Cas won't learn a thing, if he's not shown he's forgiven."

Dean found it hard not to scoop his distraught little friend from Gabe's arms, right then and there.
The hunter had been angry and hurt, following Cas' actions, but right now, he could only hear how sorry he was.

When Gabriel tilted him forward into a more vulnerable position, Cas had no options but to drop his hands from Gabriel's thigh and grip the fabric of his pant leg. Cas covered his tear stained face with one hand, hiding it from any prying eyes. He felt vulnerable enough without the audience.

"a-ahh, ahh, Gabriel, p-puh-please, reconsider...!" Cas gasped and choked out a sob when his sensitive undercurves were smacked hard. These smacks hurt the most out of all, and Cas couldn't stop crying. His crying only stopped to allow him to sniffle and cough. No matter how much Cas bucked and fought, Gabriel's firm hand met its mark, unfaltering, and when it was over, Cas had a difficult time accepting the affection and forgiveness.

"I-I am s-suh-so-sorry, buh-brotherrr..." Cas wept into Gabriel's flannel, and he put his hands over his very warm, well smacked bottom. He would not act in that way again, well, he would refrain from those behaviors around Gabriel. Surely the Winchesters wouldn't take Gabriel seriously and would not dare lay a hand on him?

The cries broke Sam's heart and he coughed, and rubbed the back of his neck. "w... we uh, we won't," he let Gabriel know that they wouldn't be skipping that last part, if it ever came to them having to discipline Cas in such a manner.

Dean watched the scene, uncomfortably, asking, "So, Gabriel, how long do you expect us--er, how long are you gonna keep him like this? "
Gabe shrugged, "I'll drop in from time to time to check on his progress. He might need several of these lessons to change his behavior. Oh, don't look at me like that, you two! I didn't hurt him--well, nothing more than his tush--it's cute, huh? Dad put that padding back there for a reason, ya know, he'll be fine in a few --"

Dean snatched the crying little boy from the wiseguy angel's arms and held him,close. "Easy, there, Cas, it's OK, now and we know you're sorry. I've got you."

The hunter patted the little angel's sore bottom.

"Me and Sam will take care of you, for a while--would you like that?" Dean dipped his chin to look at his friend's teary blue eyes. Dean gave Gabe a sour look, "Your brother was just leaving, anyways."

Gabe put both hands up, in a truce, "Fine, fine, I see you're not a fan of my teaching method." The archangel poked a finger at the Winchesters, "But mark my words, you'll reach a point where you'll be on board. Trust me, you've known Cas a few years, me--a few thousand. He's a stubborn angel and you'll find just as stubborn a kid."
As Gabe turned, like he didn't just have to have a thought to leave, he paused, "Oh, and Dean--don't be too hard on yourself when you figure out a sore little bottom is better than a dead little angel."
With that, Gabriel was gone.
