Misaka Mikoto felt nervous and guilty.

She was a high class esper and usually a well behaved student, but today Misaka had nothing to be proud of. She accidently had a hand-band of the Judgement, a kind of self-regulating police force, and though it was not her original intention, Misaka had spent teh whole day pretending to be a member of it, not really trying to explain the case. Even more so, she ended up being a bother in the field then the Judgement had to deal with terrorist attacks, and it's after talking down at her friend Kuroko just that same morning. Kuroko was a legit Judgement member, and one of the best, but Misaka ended up being disrespectful to her job... and then failed trying to do it by herself.

And it was one more thing... For the first time in her life (not counting kicking soda machines for free drinks) Misaka stole something. Recently her friends, Kuroko included, made comments about her "childish" underwear, pyjamas and teh habbit to wear shorts under her skirt. So then she was "aptroling" the lingerie store, Misaka in a heat of the moment stole a pair of "adult" lacy panties. She was very ashamed about it, especially since she did it while wearing teh Judgement's hand-band, so she might compromise the organization's reputation...

"I... I'm sorry for what I've told about your work in teh Judgement. I was wrong. It is pretty hard..." Misaka gulped nad scratched the floor with her toes. "And about these panties... I don't know what came into me. I'll buy them and apologize to the store owner. Promise!"

The esper really hoped that would be the end of it...
