Mechanical Mystery (for RavenSaint)

It was the year 2398. The world had made many breakthroughs in technology and many great things had come of it, but so had many terrible things. War had broken out between the leading nations of the world, and now the world was broken and destroyed. The population had dropped in every single country, and the order of the world had changed. After peace was finally established again, stricter laws had been put in place to make sure war didn’t break out again.

Now, a few years after the Great War, a man stood in a pile of trash and scraps, searching through to see if he could find anything of value. He was about 32, had dark eyes, and his hair was a dirty blond. He stood tall, though he wasn’t very muscular. He was currently wearing a robe and mask to protect against the dust and particles in the air as he continued going to the trash. Eventually he came across something peculiar and started to dig deeper until he came face to face with a girl. It wasn’t just any girl though, she appeared to be one of the many bio androids that had been made long ago, and she was heavily damaged. Without thinking about it, he started to carry her back home to repair the girl, hoping the android was still alive and that the damage she had sustained hadn’t taken her out of commission.

It took a few hours, but soon he was able to repair her and left her on his singular bed in order to rest until she awoke.

There are many advantages to machinery...from doing menial tasks that no one wants to do to providing actual assistance to those who need it. Heck there could even be some create to test things like medicine or weaponry on. However with war around the corner one quality came more noticeable...machines don't die so easily. So many are produced with the plan of using them to reduce the amount of human casualties as possible...but the best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry. Especially now there are many robotic wreckages. Often scavenged by people who could either use the parts themselves or sell said parts off for profit.

Could that be why this male was here?

Either yes or no he now has a somewhat short but extremely curvaceous bio android lying on a bed. One with shoulder length pink hair, dusty ivory skin, pink eyes and a seemingly self-inflicted scar that spells "5KY" on the back of her right wrist. One who's eyes suddenly snap open as she sits up straight with a look of comfusion and bewilderment all over her face.

As the girl woke up she’d find herself in an unfamiliar room with a mirror staring right at her. There were many random mechanical parts laying around the room along with a few half finished devices as well as scraps of paper with blueprints on them. For a moment it seemed she was alone but she’d soon hear footsteps coming towards the room and the sound of a doorknob turning.

“Oh, you’re finally awake,” the scavengers said as he closed the door behind him, carrying with him a sandwich. “How was your sleep? Do you remember who you are or what happened to you?”

Luckily it didn't take the girl, in mostly torn clothing, long to realise that - instead of a battlefield - she is in some kind of room with a mirror looking directly back at herself. "I'm...alive..." barely manage to mumble got the pink haired girl's lips before her matching eyes spot the devices and bits of blueprint around. "I...was..fixed?" she mumbled out again, a tiny bit quicker than before.

'Oh, you’re finally awake'

The moment those words came out she immediately springs up to her feet...only to wobble and fall down to a sitting position on the bed. Maybe the android isn't fully ready for quick movements yet? Eiither way she gave the scavenger a look of both caution and distrust as he ask about how her sleep was before tilting her head at his question about who she is or what happened in her past. "A..." she paused and glanced down towards the mark on her wrist area before lifting it up to show it to the male. "Sky...Sky is my name...who are you?"

He watched as the girl wobbled on her feet, falling into a sitting position. He set down the sandwich he had brought with him and grabbed a chair to sit down in. It didn’t seem like the girl would be able to move easily at the moment so he figured he had nothing to fear for now. When he showed her the mark in her wrist he would read over what was written.

“Sky,” he repeated and offered her a smile. “That’s a pleasant name. My name is Jerald. I brought you here and helped repair you. I found you in a pile of junk earlier, do you remember how you got there?”

The not yet fully balanced android definitely doesn't appear to be threatening at all...though, if one isn't to know that she is a machine, one could easily mistake her for a very curvaceous beauty with unique eyes and hair as she tilts a bit warily at the smile Jerald gave her before introducing humself.

'do you remember how you got there?'

"I am not 'a pile of junk'," Sky huffed and even crossed her arms while looking away. Potentially cute? Or signs of a future brat? Or probably that she doesn't like being referred to as junk...even though she definitely has some major junk in the trunk (if that's how the phrase works, lol). However she did slowly look back with a confused look on her face. "I remember fighting...lots of fighting...then an explosion..." the pink haired beauty moved a hand up to rub her forehead. "But nothing more...thank you for repairing me..." Sky adds in before shyly letting a faint smile appear on her face.

Jerald listened to the android speak and gave a nod to the explanation of what happened to her. As she thanked him for repairing her he would give a nod. “You’re welcome,” he responded. While he wanted to know more about the girl, if she couldn’t remember anything then he wasn’t going to try and pry it from her. “Here, are you hungry?” While he knew that bio androids could go much longer without food or water, he wasn’t sure the last time she had eaten something.

5KY/Sky's shyly produced smile slipped away after hearing the male's response as she looked downwards, possibly a bit upset about some kind of error in a memory drive or something causing her to not remember so clearly about her own past. At least outside of fighting and shooting. Heck she has no idea if she had any purpose before war or was simply created to be a weapon.

'Here, are you hungry?'

Those words immediately brought the pink eyed cutie's attention back to Jerald but instead of saying any kind of answer, almost as comically on time, her stomach rumbled a little. A faint blush appeared on Sky's face at this, at least she is a type of bio android that can show such feelings, as she cautiously takes the sandwich and brings it to her lips before nervously nibbling on it. "Thank you...Jerald..." Sky managed to squeak out before nibbling again, either worried about the food being poisoned or aware that her current state couldn't do much if this scavenger physically tries anything.

Jerald heard the girl’s stomach rumble and chuckled a little at the blush that appeared on her face. Without a second thought he would hand over the sandwich to her, watching as she took a bite out of it. “You’re welcome,” he replied, giving her a light smile. “Once you’re done with that I want you to lie down for me okay? Need to make sure you don’t fall apart after a few steps, and to see if anything is still damaged.”

If anything the sound of a chuckle made the android girl blush a tiny bit more as even a momentary pout appeared on her face before taking the sandwich and nibbling her way through it. Sky did give the male a look however when he asked her to lie down for him. However Jerald's reasoning did make sense...so, in the end, she finished her sandwich in a few more bites, muttered something along the lines of "what were you doing at the place you found me?" and laid down before rolling over so she'd be belly side down.
