High Attendant Silvana strutted through the ivory and marble halls of Muzena's temple with a sense of purpose, waving off the bows of the lesser servants that greeted her. Despite the openness of the corridor, the only thing barring the gleam of a cloudless sky being rows of chisled coloumns, she was in no mood for pleasentries. The otherwise beautiful day outside was actually the cause of her frustration, as it had not rained in several weeks despite a chorus of prayers from the citizens of Mulfoesa. The tap of her sandles echoed through the hall as she moved with a purpose towards the bedchambers of her diety.
Silvana had been a devout servant of the pantheon for was long as she could remember, her once ivory skin now bronzed from years of outdoor worship. Her faith earned her the highly-coveted position of attendant to the goddess of the sun, Solaria, and it was under her stern gaze that Silvana had become a scholar of all of the dieties. It came as a bit of a shock when Solaria informed her that she was being gifted to the sun goddess' daughter as her High Attendant, the title coming with not only great authority amongst the people but also living quarters within the same temple that the goddess herself stayed in. Silvana took the promotion seriously, and did everything in her power to ensure that the people had a direct line of contact to their goddess. Unfortunately, Muzena was a younger goddess at only a few centures of age, and still behaved frankly like a spoiled brat. She almost never paid attention to the schedule of the stars, and deemed it only her right to determine the weather of ny given day. The goddess of seasons had nearly thrown a fit when it snowed in the middle of summer, destroying many harvests and making it Silvana's duty to assist in the rebuilding of many farms. And now, yet again, she found Muzena sound asleep in a bed able to fit a dozen men, having not brought rain for a fortnight.
Silvana cleared her throat before shouting, "Awaken, my goddess! I've news of the people and their prayers!"
