Upon the sunrise awaking him, Batman, or rather by his civilian name, Bruce, took a deep sigh of relief to himself that another night had gone by and the city he valued was still safe despite the constant attack from those who come out at night. He looked out the window from his bedroom to bask in the light of the morning for a moment as his eyes wandered slightly slowly to the clock on his night stand with a simple nod. “Probably a good idea to go wake up Dick…” he muttered to himself, but he didn’t really seem to have anyone to respond to him, which he didn’t mind. He headed for the bedroom door of his and opened it up to let himself out of the room, shutting it behind him and turned his head down the hallway. He had expected either silence or a sound, either was fine by him.
“Yup, he’s asleep still.” He silently remarked with a soft smile, one he’d never be seen sporting with his vigilante guise, but with his normal identity in his household, what was to stop him from expressing some emotion. Bruce went down the hall two doors from his own, and glanced around before facing the door to his sidekicks bedroom. With a knock, he started to try and stir the boy awake, he had a step by step idea for such. “Dick, it’s time to get up.” He called, the first of his attempts
