Catherine, selectively called Kate, sighed, looking up from the laptop balanced on her thighs. She glanced in the mirror across from the sofa and got back to work, subconsciously auditioning for the rock band that only existed in her mind.

Twenty year old Kate was a tall brunette: athletic, tanned by the August sun, and according to her mother, depressingly single. That was far from the case; Kate smiled to herself, glancing at the door

She took classes at the University by her apartment, but wasn't right now, having secured a summer internship at a local law firm. Great in theory, in truth, getting water and reviewing papers. That's what she was doing now. It was funny how work had a way of being exactly like homework.

But she didn't have to work for to much longer. When Julia got here, she'd find some excuse to stop. Dinner. Kate thought to herself. Dinner's a great excuse. She waited, half watching the door, for her roommate slash best friend slash ....something much much more to come home from her summer classes and shook her head.

What her mother thought was definitely far from the case.

julia walking in to the dorm looking starught at her roommate and smiles and said"morenig jokefull " as she walked to her giveing her a kiss on the cheek sits in her lap "whatcha doing you love she said pokeing her bellt juila was about the same size of kate body wise "what would you like for dinner its on me ".

"Julia!" Kate gasped in a put upon exasperation, picking up her computer as the other girl gracelessly draped herself in her lap. She shut the device without turning it off, and set it aside.

Of the two, the other girl was her favorite laptop model. "It's on you, hmm?" Hands encircled the younger girl's waist as the brunette uncrossed her legs, taking them from the small coffee table. "I'd say it's on me..."

She almost dared to wink. Cheeky.

Kate blushed, almost unable to speak. Fortunately the kiss took away the need to. She allowed herself to relax into the other warm body for a moment before shaking her head and pulling back.

Kate sank against the couch, hoping to draw the other girl with her. She was only wearing her camisole and pencil skirt from work, having the discarded the more ornate, formal pieces of her dress.

She looked older than she was. But at the same time, with the blush on her cheeks, that much younger.

"Julia... someone will hear you." It was paranoia at its highest form. The dorms were largely deserted for the summer.

"Still.. not everyone. There's the summer RA. And those girls down the hall... " Even if they were out of town last she knew. Kate's hand ran down Julia's back, always amazed at how quickly the girl could strip upon arriving home. She kissed the girl's jaw, eying her pensively. "I was thinking of perhaps heating something up real quick...."

The girl's fingernails lightly drummed against Julia's bare backside, almost pensively. "What do you think?"

*kates fingernails sent shievers down her back dident say a word but noded but then said now or after kiseeing kate neck a few times while her hand were working on undoing kates shirt.

"Good."

Kate's hand left Julia's bum, swinging back down with a loud crack as it impacted the cool flesh. "Then let's see if you blush."
