Far above the skies of Super Earth and floating in the emptiness of space, a ship was zooming towards its destination in light speed. Soon it reached a complete stop right above the planet. Alex Flores, the leader of this vessel, was standing at the terminal to get the final preparations in order. He was given this mission from high command, eliminate as many bugs as possible, close any bug holes they find, get the radar dish up and running, find any loot or samples in the area they can find and most importantly get the uplink running so they can evacuate as many citizens as possible. It was a simple mission for him, to the point he felt this was getting a bit boring. So as he made his way to the hellpod, he turned to his teammate. “How about we put a little wager on today’s mission?” He suggested with a smile behind his black helmet, dressed in matching armor and a long cape with a yellow logo on the back

Following the ship was another, on the side was written "Lady of Individual Merit." This ship was commanded by Cloe Hawk, a veteran of the western front. Her name was infamous, due to the fact that she was famous for separating from her squad. Due to her records, she was reassigned to Flores squad both for backup and to teach her to work as a team.

Hoping into her ships own Pelican, it lands in the cargo bay of Flores ship. Being one for not wasting anytime, Cloe heads over to the Bridge to meet her new commanding officer. Seeing him already in the process of checking his gear, Cloe starts doing the same. While inspecting her rifle, she hears Alex's suggestion and gives him a look, before reaching over and covering her shiny silvery hair and light blue eyes with her helmet. Taking out a form, she starts filling it out so that she can call in her favorite anti-material rifle once on the planet. Looking up she sighs, "Isn't making a wager a bit immature sir?" She speaks in a soft but harsh tone as she looks back at her requestion form, silvery cape fluttering due to the ships ventilation.

“Come on, we know this mission should be a snap. Let make things interesting.” Alex said, a smile still plastered on his face as he made sure his Liberator was secure on his hip as he stood in position to get deployed on his hellpod but he intentionally didn’t allow himself to be sucked down so they can talk. He may be the leader but it was clear he had a bit of an immature streak, especially when he was with Cloe. He found their personalities really complemented each other but he wasn’t sure if she felt the same way. “How about whoever wipes out the most bugs wins? The winner get to issue a command to the loser that can’t be refused.” He suggested, his tone brimming with confidence

Cloe scowls as she finishes up her paper work. She only cared about the mission and getting her crew home safely. Diving has always been a dangerous job but she wasn't working with an amateur who thinks they are hot shit, this was annoying Alex. Though he might get under her skin, that doesn't mean he isn't skilled.

Submitting her paper work into the near by console, Cloe walks over to the pods as well. Walking past Alex, she shakes her head. "You never quit, do you?" She folds her arms as she steps into her hellpod, letting her boots get locked onto the stabilizer floor. Clicking as the hydraulics latch to her boots, she speaks up once more. "Fine, we have a deal. Now will you stop messing around, we have bugs to squash."

“Fine, fine! Just don’t cry when you find out what I have planned for you later.” Alex said with a cocky smile as he was sucked into his hellpod before he could be questioned. A few seconds later the pair were sent crashing into the planet at blinding speed before landing on the surface. The pair would then pop out and begin the mission.

As the mission progressed, with their scores being tracked so they can be given a report when they get back, Alex was firing his shots at everything that moved with poise and accuracy. He there grenades at bug holes like a pro and it seemed like it was about to be another walk in the park. “Take notes!” He called to his teammate, unaware of the bug breaches that are popping up around them. Soon they will be surrounded and run low on ammo.

"Whatever you say." Cloe just brushes Alex's comment. Just like every other mission before and after this, the pods crash violently into the ground below, however, in side of the pods felt more like a sudden jolt at the very end.

As the mission started, Cloe broke away from Alex but due to how small the squad was, she remained far enough where she could rotate and give support fire but close to run back to Alex when things got messy.

Looking around, Cloe was getting annoyed at seeing the columns of air pockets and rocks shooting up from the ground. "Damn it Alex! You caused to much of a scene. Look, we got breaches on the south and north side!" Cloe might be a professional but the bugs were not her field of expertise, she specialized in fighting the Automtons!

Openning up her wrist tablet, she browses her stratagems. Puching in the propper inputs, she calls for Cluster Bomb. Knowing where to place the order, Cloe pulls her arm back before releasing the stratagem at the nothern bug nest. "Hold this spot, Eagle 11 should clear a way out to the north!" Desperatlly calling out to her teammate, she pulls out her Sheriff to handle any threat coming to them since her primary is out and the explose rounds of her sniper might hurt either of them.

“Grrr… shut up and keep firing!” Alex sniped back as he shot his assault rifle at everything that charged at him with a pulse. “We need to regroup! Calling in extraction!” He yelled as he dived towards the nearby command prompt and pushed in the code for extraction. They just have to hold the line until Pelican 1 comes in to save the day. Typing a prompt on his wrist, he threw a cluster bomb stratagem that came down a few minutes later and gave them some breathing room

Finally, after a few minutes, Pelican 1 came down and made a quick extract of them before zooming away, leaving a swarm of angry terminads in its wake. They would then return to Alex’s ship in one piece and back to the command center. But even though they got the radar working, they did not get to extract the civilians so they did not get the fanfare of a job well done.

That didn’t matter to Alex as he went right to the battle records and saw that he had the most kills by about 10. Though it doesn’t matter how close it was. A win was a win in his book. He didn’t even give Cloe a chance to get a drink of water before he brought it up to her. “Get a chance to look at the scores yet?” He asked with a grin, removing his helmet to reveal his dark hair and scruff

Blasting a few terminids in the legs, Cloe was able to hold them off long enough for Alex to come in and give her covering fire so she could reload. As the extraction lands, Cloe rushes into the Pelican, taking one last shot at a bug before the ramp retracks. Taking her seat, Cloe rest as she takes a short power nap.

Waking up to the shuttles lift extending, Cloe stretches and gets out. Growing use to only doing the main objective, she didn't care that they didnt get a great fanfare. Taking off her helmet, Cloe starts reaching for a bottle of Freedom Fresh but as she lifts the cup, her silvery long hair flows in front of her eyes as she stares at Alex. "No why?" Taking her bottle of water, she walks over to the board. Even though Alex remembered the deal, that was the last thing on her mind. Noticing the point diffrence she thinks for a second before taking another sip. speaking up, she doesnt sound excited, more like she was brushing him off, "Congratulations, you won."

“Oh yes I did.” Alex said with a grin as he pulled up a chair and sat down on it. “As the winner, I want you to remove your armor and stand in front of me.” He said in a commanding tone. He was sick of her rude and snobby attitude towards him. In his mind, she definitely deserves a good long attitude adjustment. He wasn’t even thinking about the mission at this point. “Now hurry up! I’m going to give you some that you needed for a long time.” He said, patting his lap in a taunting fashion

Cloe watched as Alex slide up the chair, taking a seat with such enthusiasm. Being commanded like this, shook the mighty sniper to her core as she coughed, choking on her water. Coughing up some water, she looked shocked, a rare embarrassed face that no one has probably seen in awhile. She gives him a disgusting glare as she points down at his smug grin. "There is no way I am doing that! What makes you think you can order me like that. The Cold-Front will not sully her honor like this!" With how she has been acting, its clear she didn't realize how serious a bet Alex was making, however, if he puts his foot down and reminds her of the promise, she would back down. There are plenty of instances in her profile which talk about how she doesn't pay attention to things that don't interest her.
