A New Farm Life (for Sinclair)

Alex Sampson was a 20 something year old man that spent his whole life coasting on his wealthy parents money. Because of this he was always never paying attention in school, always on his computer or playing video games and never learned a trade or applied for a job. Finally, the parents grew sick of him mooching off them and decided to kick him out of the house. But to not completely leave him homeless, he was offered to live with a friend upstate in the middle of nowhere. Seeing he had no choice, he took the offer and began packing his things but he would soon find he wouldn’t need them

A few days later, his ride dropped him off near the new house where he was staying at. He has short black hair, an unkempt beard and facial hair that his mom wanted him to shave a long time ago and he had on a pair of black sweatpants and matching hoodie that hid his chubby stomach. He would be greeted with the farm smell that made him gag and groan as he realized that he was now living here. He looked at his phone and sighed. “Service sucks!” He said as he approached house and passed by an assortment of animals on the way

If he were to pay close attention, he’d see a kid no older than 13 tending to the animals, but he didn’t acknowledge the newcomer really as he seemed more focused on doing his work. As the man arrived at the door, it would open to be greeted by a younger, good looking farmer boy that couldn’t be older than 18 or 19. Julius, the older brother of Percy, and this man’s new caretaker/boss. “Ah, was wondering when you’d show up.”

Julius was surprisingly very friendly despite what worries Alex might’ve had, the farmer opening the door more to let him in, waving politely at the ride as it took off. The farmer got a good look at the man as he would walk by, especially how he’d handle farm work, and a part of him eyed his butt, fitting for what he and the man’s parents discussed over the phone

Alex did not pay attention to Percy as he was tending to the morning chores on the farm, he was more focused at glaring at the house he was going to be living in. As the door opened, he frowned as someone who was clearly younger than him opened the door, causing him to immediately be frustrated. “Very funny, now where are your parents? If they’re not here, just give me the Wi-Fi and point me in the direction of my room.” He said a bit rudely as he enter the house with his suitcase wheeling behind him and a backpack on his back

Julius blinked at the rude behavior as he crossed his arms but remained polite regardless as he knew he’d have his hands full reining this one in. “Well you’ll have a hard time there, only source of anything like WiFi is in the small town bar. As for parents, ain’t got them, it’s just me, you and Percy here boy.” He said and started walking him to his bedroom he’d be staying. Conveniently it was right next to Julius’s so he wasn’t going to be getting away with much

“What do you mean no Wi-Fi? The new game is coming out this Friday and I can’t miss it!” Alex said in shock, appalled that people still live like this. What was he transported back in time?! He didn’t believe that he was telling the truth that there was no parents. Or more so he didn’t want to believe him. He couldn’t fathom being given orders by someone his age. But he didn’t say anything as he brought his stuff into the bedroom

The young farmer nodded opening the door, the room wasn’t anything special, it was decently sized and good enough for the newcomer for now, maybe he’d get more if he behaved. It looked a tad childish but beggers probably can’t be choosers here

Alex sighed as he sat on his bed and began to reflect on what was his life now. He couldn’t believe this place has no internet. He might need to find a library or something for where he can download his game. Or he might need to buy a physical copy at a local game store. He hasn’t done much research but surely this town should have that much. He sighed and began putting his clothes away in drawers

“Go ahead and get settled, I need to go and check on Percy. If you have questions just give a holler. We’ll discuss living here when I get back.” He told him, the young farmer was surprisingly very kind despite the situation at hand. He headed out to let him get situated

Alex rolled his eyes and didn’t give him a response as the door was closed and he flipped off the door once the coast was clear. With a sigh he resumed getting the room redecorated and organized to his liking

Julius departed out to the fields to check on the other boy of the farm, the two finished up the chores pretty quick as they discussed the plan, since they both knew their family friend needed to really learn a lesson. The two would return not too long after
