Marriage Troubles (for dflindsey)

In a small town nearby a modern urban city, a typical house like any other sat. But inside, there’s going to be a lot that a typical person may not know is happening. Sarah was sitting on the couch near her husband Mark and they were having a very awkward conversation. They are a couple of 20 something’s that have no idea how to handle this roadblock in their marriage. They’ve known each other since they were kids and were high school sweethearts. But now they find themselves arguing and fighting every day, Sarah finds herself overdrinking constantly and it’s starting to impact her work as an employee at the local convenience store.

Sarah has long brown hair, sporting glasses and a mole on her chin. She is wearing her typical lounging clothes which is a loose black hoodie and matching black sweatpants with no socks on her bare feet. She has a shift later tonight at work but they decided they need to get to the root of their issues but it’s not going well. So now they sat in awkward silence. This reminded her of the times she would be punished while growing up, sitting in her room in silence as she would wait for her parents to come and spank her. The issues the two of them were having weren't all Sarah's fault. Mark was notorious for leaving chores for her to do, perpetually late to his own work at the local grocery store, often took out his stress out on Sarah in the form of a snippy attitude on his bad days, and recently started joining her oh her evening drinks.


The memory a welcome distraction from the otherwise unpleasant mood.

"Yeah..." Mark smirked and blushed.


"He didn't just threaten though...god those spankings were really rough." I say thinking back.


"Remember how we'd sneak out between classes at school to rub some lotion into each other the next day?" I paused."I guess we were better behaved because of them in a way."

Sarah remained silent as they talked about some of the most embarrassing moments of their time together. Which got her thinking… “So… I-I was thinking… instead of yelling at each other and holding grudges, maybe when we’re bad, we should get spanked…” She suggested, blushing red as she bit her lip. "Although you are right that the way we're currently doing things just isn't working..." He admits. "Are you sure? How would we make them actually, work, you know, now that we're adults?" he asks, looking at her.

Sarah hesitated for a moment, getting butterflies in her stomach as she debated saying she was just joking. But she held firm, knowing in her heart this is the right thing to do, even if it means a lot of embarrassment for her. “I-I think if we act like children, we should be seen as and treated like children.” She said simply while avoiding eye contact

Mark looked down. She wasn't exactly wrong. He knew his behavior wasn't acceptable in certain respects he just...lacked the willpower? or maybe the drive to do much about it. He looked over to Sarah, she was as beautiful as ever and she was still trying, still wanting to make things work. Maybe she was right, or at least it would be worth a shot.

For the first time in a long time Mark seriously considered that he might be forced to face consequences for his actions. As that thought sunk in he took some comfort in knowing Sarah would be the one to administer those consequences.

Mark gulped. "Ok. It's worth a shot at least." He put out his hand over hers and leaned into her a bit.

"How do you think it should work?" He asked, his mind now drifting into the implications of this new dynamic.

Sarah held his hand and gave him a brief hug and a kiss on the cheek. A momentary respite of comfort before the humiliation that will surround her in the matter of moments. She leaned back and blushed as she couldn’t bring herself to make eye contact. “I-I was a bitch to you so I know I deserve to be punished… Don’t hold back and imagine me as the bratty young girl that you met me as.” She said as she stood to her feet and stood in front of him. “And if that means going to work with a spanked ass, so be it…” she said, blushing redder at the thought of her coworkers knowing about this…

Mark nodded. "Alright. Get those sweatpants off and hop over my lap." Mark instructed, his mind shifting to the task at hand. He sat up.
