Kazuma Satou was slipping on his green and black track jacket. He was on his way to his nearest manga shop. A new volume of the manga he's been looking forward to has finally been released. Unfortunately, he would have to make the arduous journey out of the safety of his room and head to the manga store. Getting on the bus Kazuma sat in the back and waited to arrive at his destination.

Midnight Satoshi was on the bus with him, he was sitting in the seat in front of him. He wasn't heading to the manga shop, he planned to head to the store for some groceries. There have been reports of a few hit and runs and speeding cars in the area. He'd have walked, but he didn't want anything to happen.

Eventually, the bus came to the stop where both boys got off. Kazuma immediately started walking towards the comic shop and brought his manga. Back at the bus stop awaiting for the next bus that'll that him back to the comfort of his room. While waiting he clenched the manga close to his chest. "Ah, There's nothing that can beat the smell of A new volume coming out of the plastic." He said to himself.

Midnight got back to the bus stop as well. With his stuff, but as he did, a car zoomed past. And time stopped for him. He looked back a saw a girl going back for a toy on the road. He dropped his bag and sprinted, he sped up quickly to get to her.

Kazuma who saw what was going on dropped his manga as he rushes over to save the girl about to get run over. Based on the video games he constantly plays he expected the girl would probably fall for him or something along the lines of that. The next events play as if it was A slideshow. Kazuma along with the boy who sat in front of him on the bus here pushed the girl out of the way however they weren't so lucky as for Kazuma everything turned dark.

Midnight fluttered his eyes open. He stood up slowly and held his head as he looked around the black environment he was now in. "W...where am I?...Did...i die?"he asked himself.

Kazuma opens his eyes and notices that he was in the same dark environment that Midnight was and they were sitting down in plain armless wooden chairs and in front of them A similar armless chair but it was a white and gold color with A small table next to it with A book sitting on it. Suddenly the sounds of heels clicking on the ground filled the air.

"Well, seems you two are quite the heroes,"said a feminine, snarky voice. Midnight didn't like the tone. "What happened? Where are we? How did we get here?"he asked.

"All you're questions will be answered soon. As for the first though, you both died,"She answered.

It took A second for the words of the mysterious woman to register in Kazuma's mind but once it did he was shocked. "DIED?! As in, we're both dead?" He questioned her hoping it was just some kind of sick joke. He knew he should've just stayed in the safety of his room where there was little chance of death occurring.

Midnight sighed,"Mind telling us how?"he asked.

"Certainly, after you save the girl, this guy ran into you. You got the girl to saftey after she got pushed, but you can blame the NEET here for getting you both run over,"he said.
